  We just got home from Uulani Farm and can't wait to return. John and Maggie were the best hosts. Everything is there that you need,the location is peaceful and scenic. Beds are comfy. The rainbows every night were so pretty. The stars,incredible. Fresh fruit and chocolates upon arrival,clean and comfortable. Lots of beaches very close and all the fun of the Hana Hwy is right there,waterfalls galore. Mahalo. Jan Bell

  As a family of four this was beyond our expectations.This place is well maintained and CLEAN!It has all the kitchen tools.Our 16 year old daughter and our 11 year old son had plenty of room inside this spacious cottage.Loved the views from all the windows.Enjoyed the fresh papayas and limes..always plentiful.The master bedroom was spacious with lots of closet space and even a dresser.The extra bedroom too had a huge closet and a dresser(great mirror closet doors so you could see yourself..after the beach burns!)the kitchen is very roomy and loved the fridge with the ice maker. This place has a great open concept.The ceiling fans are a bonus.We were always comfortable in here,never too cold never too hot.Thats upcountry for you..another bonus to staying here.The extra daybed in the living room is very comfortable for sleeping..our daughter told us..plus when we would use it to sit or lay on in the evening it was comfy.. I loved the fact there was a washer and dryer plus a clothesline right below us..of course all the launder soap and other laundry liquids were all there for our use..very convenient.The lanai to sit outside is super.The doors leading out to this lanai are great. At times when we would sit out there we would leave them open..bringing the outside in..great!The yard is well kept with lots of flowers and trees and sugarcane.The owners property is private from where you are.You can see their home however, its obvious its 2 separate yards..very well planned out.The owners are great!! Maggie and John are Extremely gracious as well as welcoming hosts. Its worth taking the time to talk to them before you begin your adventures on the island..they are very informative and will answer your questions. You will need a car.We rented one and went thru only 2 tanks of gas in 12 days! And we went all over(ford focus) .This place is also easy to find from the airport. As a family we were close to Hana highway, Twin falls, Kula road, zip lining activities and we even found lava tubes to explore.Bamboo forest and the rainbow eucalyptus trees are a must! (20-25 minutes). The choice of beaches were plentiful and beautiful 5-10 minutes depending on which one.Paia, a hip and cultural village are close. Great food and entertainment plus shopping were found in this great place.Tortillia's, they sell great fish tacos plus delicious burritos for a great price.The fish market and Flatbread company are great.Mambos Too!Enjoy!We highly recommend this cottage.It has it all

  The owners John and Maggie are great hosts! Their 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath cottage is perfect, comfortable, super clean (seems new) and organized. The furnishings are like staying at a Tommy Bahama's ! We've stayed there three times now and can't wait to go back and we live on Maui, on the southshore !!! It's a very tropical setting and it usually has a very gentle relaxing rain every evening. Tropical plants and fruit trees galore!

  This lovely cottage in Haiku is the place to stay. It was absolutely perfect for our family! We are a family of four with two young daughters, and we couldn't have been more comfortable in this beautiful spacious cottage. It was very clean and the grounds were immaculate! Our girls were very entertained by all of the amazing fruit trees and fabulous garden. We were fortunate enough to enjoy fresh bananas and papaya every morning for breakfast. The tropical air and the sound of the banana leaves blowing were enough to put you in a peaceful state of mind. We really enjoyed the refreshing breeze coming through the many windows located in the cottage. We also found many fun and adventurous activities to do around the area. The Bamboo Forest is a must see, and The Road to Hana was an experience we will never forget. I have never seen so many breathtaking views. Don't forget to check out Twin Falls. It is one of the most beautiful sights around. Also, Baldwin Beach is a great place to go. It is clean, clear, and picture perfect! It is also known for being called "Baby Beach" because there is a large section that is protected by a coral reef. It is an ideal spot for children or people who like to swim laps. All in all, our vacation was a magical experience! We truly appreciate the hosts, John & Maggie. They couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Thanks for an amazing trip! We can't wait to go back to this peaceful retreat!

  My family stayed here at Easter time and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations or the hosts! The hosts were very welcoming and warm and did everything to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The cottage itself was beautiful. Tastefully appointed and CLEAN! We have 2 young kids and it was perfect. They even pulled out some toys for the baby to play with. Although we never go there, it is at the start of the road to Hana, but is only 1/2 hour from the airport and away from all the touristy bits we wanted to mostly avoid anyway. We'll definitely stay here again (if we don't move next door). Thank you!

  \m/ \m/ We would like to start off by thanking John and Maggie for opening their beautiful home to us. It is very well maintained, clean, and very beautiful (the listing pictures can't effectively portray the true beauty of this property). I will recommended this Haiku House to friends and family, what a perfect spot to enjoy your vacation. I suggest getting a hiking map for the area, its a short walk from the property to twin falls! While staying here it offers a close journey to exploring the trip to Hana. Along the Hana Highway, take your time to see and swim in the many fresh water pools and waterfalls, explore remote beaches, examine the beauty of the tropical rain forest and experience rural part of Maui. No trip to Haiku is complete without having a fabulous meal at Mama's Fish House (reservations recommended). Paia is a neat quirky little town with unique eateries and shops you'll want to visit. Even when not getting out and about, just spending time at the house is a great way to enjoy the beautiful setting of upcountry. You will also be greeted with two of the cutest pups! Honey bun and Brody love biscuits in the morning, in return you will have two little amazing friends to greet you upon every arrival! What a blessing it was to stay in such a great spot for our vacation! ~~~~Just like the tide, we will return!~~~~~ Mahalo!!

  We could have stayed more than our scheduled two weeks in this sweet place. The cottage is comfortable, immaculate, with a fully stocked kitchen, excellent mattresses, artistic touches, and Hawaiian CD's for island ambience. There are windows galore for delightful cross ventilation in every room, and an amazing ocean vista from the living room couch and patio. While you're at the kitchen sink window, meditate on the swaying sugar cane and rugged volcanic hills that face the front of the house. If you want a quiet, place, with a spacious feeling while being nestled in a beautifully manicured Hawaiian hillside farm, this is the place for you. And when you want to let the world in, the TV has dozens of channels and good reception. Haiku is our favorite lodging location when we visit Maui because of its centrality, its lush rainforest humidity, tropical breezes and birdsongs, cool nights and frequent rainbow views. And an occasional Hollywood star appearance at the local fitness center. We love the drive to anywhere from Haiku-to the upcountry tropical garden farms, Haleakala vistas, the road to Hana, and in the other direction, the road to Paia that hugs the coastline, where you can pull over and watch the board wind and surfers take advantage of the ideal wind and water conditions that make Hookipa a world class surfer beach. Just 10 minutes away is the village of Paia, where the locals hang out with the island visitors enjoying excellent food, from local fish (Paia Fish Market on Paia Corner.) to designer pizza (Flatbread Pizza) and homemade gelato. Mana Foods is the local health food grocery store, where locals deliver their fresh organic produce, fish, flowers, baked goods and crafts: if they don't have what you're looking for, you probably don't need it. And did I mention the downtown shopping, where local artists showcase their wares, and where you can find the best tee shirts on the island? Lunch or dinner at the legendary Mama's fish house is a must if you have a special occasion to celebrate. We were here in February when humpback whales come to the islands to mate and to have their young. Veteran whale watchers we are, but on this year's whale watch with the Pacific Whale Foundation off Buzz's wharf, we were treated to a sight we hadn't yet seen: a mother whale teaching her calf to breach. It made our vacation complete. Our cottage home awaited us at the end of each day, inviting deep sleep and gentle morning awakening. We'll be back!

  We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean and well-looked after, comfy bed, beautiful views, quiet. The kitchen was adequately stocked and we appreciated the beach gear (small cooler, beach towels, beach umbrella etc). John and Maggie were wonderful! Note: need a car but Maui is easy to drive around and beaches and upcountry etc were easily accessible. I would recommend it.

  I just want to thank John so much for such wonderful accommodations! We stayed 6 nights and fully enjoyed our stay! The pictures completely undersale this brandnew cottage that is fully stocked. The king sized bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.. If you are planning on staying in the Upcountry this is the perfect place! Just a mile from the Road to Hana and 45 minutes to any other spot on the island, so as far as we are concerned it was perfect. Very quiet and tranquil, but if you like tv and such there is over 75 channels. The kitchen has everything you would need to fix your meals as we made breakfast every day. There were even beach towels,beach chairs and snorkel gear! I just think you would be hard pressed to find better accommodations for the money! We will be back, but with the kids next time!
