  The house was gorgeous and comfortable. The weekend we were there was rainy with cool nights. - A welcome change from the 110 degree Phoenix weather. Owners were easy to work with and communication was easy. The only negative was that the house did not have toilet paper and only had one small bar of soap. No big deal to us because we have relatives in the area that we were able to borrow from to use during our stay. Possibly just an oversight - but wish I'd known that ahead of our late evening arrival. Shopping in Heber/Overgaard is sparse - so plan ahead on that. The deck of the house is large and provided lots of space for us to star gaze from at night. We would definitely stay here again.

  My family had a terrific stay at this cabin this summer. It was such a treat to get away from the heat in Tucson and head up to the high country. The cabin was clean, bright and airy. We enjoyed spending time in the community, the bulletin board outside the post office has a wealth of information for activities going on in the area. We ate at home many times and also tried out a number of the local dine-in restaurants and went to a fundraiser breakfast one day too. For fast food there is a Dairy Queen and a Subway. There is a surprisingly well stocked food mart just down the road. We even travelled to the Grand Canyon one day, we took the train out of Williams. We spent the night in Flagstaff (mainly to eat at our favorite breakfast spot-Martanne's) and took in Meteor Crater and the "Corner" in Winslow. It was so nice to be so much closer to those activities by being based out of Overgaard. The trip to the Grand Canyon could have been done in one day, but it would be a very long day. The deck was so nice, we enjoyed watching some great summer rains from there, our toddler loved being able to run around on the deck. We took some long walks in the neighborhood, which was something we just hadn't done for awhile at home because of the heat. The wi-fi was speedy and worked just fine. There was a DVD player available and Netflix to enjoy. The owner was very helpful and very easy to work with. All in all, it was a great trip, the cabin was as advertised and we highly recommend it.

  This place is aboslutely amazing. The wrap around deck alone is worth the drive! No photo can capture the feeling of watching the sunset while hanging out with loved ones on that deck. From the moment you walk-in you can tell that this home has received a lot of attention from its owners. From the floors, to the appliances everything looked brand new. A perfect combination of modern luxuries without losing the feeling of being in a cabin. Our family of six spent three nights here and come Sunday not a single person wanted to leave. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king-size bed and there are two other private bedrooms and a loft that will sleep a few more people. And pet friendly as well! We enjoyed many walks in the cool mountain air and can not wait to return. The owners were very quick to respond and quite pleasant to deal with. Thankfully, I no longer have to spend hours researching on the internet for a good place, as we will continue to rent this gem.

  My family and I (9 of us) spent a weekend here and L-O-V-E-D loved it! The weather was wonderful and the cabin was great. It was spacious enough that we didn't feel like anyone was underfoot. It was clean and beautifully decorated. Every thing worked as it was supposed to and the view is incredible. We enjoyed walks in the woods, wildlife close-up (an elk less than 50 ft. from the deck) short drives to neighboring towns and just spending time together away from the 'outside world'. There were plenty of amenities close by to keep us entertained and stocked up with supplies. The owners were very helpful with answering questions and giving directions. I highly recommend this property for a weekend or longer if you can! The only complaint I heard all weekend from the 7 kids (including 4 teenagers) was that we had to leave.
