Looking for an unforgettable vacation on the Outer Banks, come and stay in our house 'OBXcitement'. This beautiful house nestled amongest the trees in a quiet neighborhood in Southern Shores is only a 5 minute walk to a lifeguarded beach and just minutes away from entertainment and resturants in Duck & Kitty Hawk. Take a short walk or drive to private life-guarded Hillcrest Beach, Hillcrest Tennis courts and Sea Oats Playground
Enjoy the sun on the decks surronding the house or relax in the shade on the screened porch with a cool drink. Enter the main level throught the screened porch. On this level you will find a great room with wood burning fireplace, a dining table with seating for eight and an three additional barstools at the counter. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, along with two bedrooms that share a full bath. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has two twin beds. Both rooms have a dresser, nightstand, chair, closet, reading lamp, and alarm clock. An open staircase leads to the master bedroom. You can relax on the queen size bed an watch television or go out on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. The bedroom also has a full private bath, walk-in closet, dresser, nightstands, chairs, lamps, and alarm clock.

Thanks for a wonderful time at your very comfortable cottage. Even though the weather did not co-operate we still had plenty to do. The kids enjoyed all the toys and games. OBXitement is a great property!! Spacious, clean, lots of amenities, great location/neighborhood, and stocked better than any home we have ever rented. The owner is very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The only "negative" we encountered is that the VRBO advertisement states the home has free wireless broadband internet access when, in fact, you have to actually connect to a modem via USB to have internet service. Not a huge deal; we just needed to check in for work and would have taken a laptop instead of an ipad for connecting. Would definately recommend this home. Thanks to Beth for all your help!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a fantastic trip to OBX. This was a wonderful house to stay in w/all the accomadations we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower, wifi, and everything you had available for the beach and all the luxuties of the kitchen. Better equipped then our own. Everything including the beds were very comfortable. We were very fortunate to find this home and your welcoming and friendly hospitality has been immensly appreciated. Our family really enjoyed our stay at your home. We had excellent weather and got to explore the outer banks by car and ferry. We explored lighthouses, Jockey's Ridge, The Wright Brothers Memorial Park,the surf, the wild pony habitat and even had enough time to see the Lost Colony on our last night there.Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one. Your home was comfortable and had all the amenities. We enjoyed the puzzles! The Brussels one (500 piece) was a challenge but we finished it along with another 300 piece puzzle while there.
