This home was much bigger and more beautiful than we ever expected!! The pictures definitely don't do it justice. The kids loved the yard, boys bedroom and the Foosball table. Everything you could imagine was provided and the home was very clean. The location close to town was great - close enough to go for dinner or a dip in the pool but far enough away to feel like you weren't in a tourist town. The owner was lovely to work with and we'd definitely go back! Only suggestion I'd make is more outdoor patio furniture or chairs. We often found ourselves sitting on the deck instead of in a comfy chair but would still highly recommend for large or multiple families!

A Home with a Heart
A Home with a Heart
First, "thank you" for sharing your exceptional home with us. The location is wonderful, close to town yet nestled amongst red bluffs, pinion pines and water. The architecture of this home will have you wanting to stay home and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Nothing was lacking, the furnishings are wonderful and tiny touches throughout speak of the beauty of the owners and their family. Beds are very comfy, bathrooms easily accessible and the kitchen has 5 star appliances, cutlery & cookware. You'll each find a corner of the house that speaks to you. The outdoor area is wonderful with a nice level area with swings for the kids. There's a media room with large TV and wonderful surround sound. Fireplace, piano and Bose system to fill the rooms with music. There wasn't anything that wasn't perfect. We had a reunion here and cannot imagine a finer space anywhere. If this is available, you are lucky. Take good care of it, so we can all come back. We truly "thank you" for sharing your amazing home. We miss Max!

Why the Owner Chose Glenwood Springs:
I first traveled through the spectacular Glenwood Canyon when I was 18 years old and would have never guessed at that time that I would ever live in this beautiful place! I personally love the people in Glenwood Springs. We share a love for the outdoors. Even more importantly, it has been a great place to raise my 4 kids. My family loves to ski, raft, mtn bike and road bike on the many trails. We also love to hike. The summers are amazing and I love how much it cools down in the evenings. You have never seen so many stars! The meteor showers in August are a family favorite and we have camped out on the deck in front of the fire watching shooting stars more than once. The winter transforms our place into a winter wonderland. I have been skiing with my kids in Aspen since they were tiny!
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
I love to travel to see new places but I have to say I always love coming back to my home in Glenwood Springs. This property is unique in that it is on the 'sunny side' of No Name. I relax as I walk through the gardens. I love to sit on the cozy couch that is tucked in the shady corner on the deck. This 10 acre property is a gem. It feels secluded yet is just 3 minutes from town. It is a great place for family reunions. Just ask my family! The Roaring Fork Valley is full of things to do and see. My favorite ritual is riding my mountain bike up to the cross early in the morning and watching the sunrise. The views of Mt Sopris and of town are fantastic.
