  This home is the absolute perfect choice if you are considering a visit to Jack Frost/Big Boulder. A couple of weekends ago, we were one of three families that stayed in this beautiful home. In total, there were 6 adults and 7 children. There is so much space in this home, the pictures just don't do it justice. At one point, all 13 of us were on the huge wraparound sofa in the family room watching a movie. As the evenings rolled around, after a long day on the slopes, the children often took over the lower level of the home playing ping pong, bumper pool, foosball, or just hanging out amongst themselves. The adults would do their own thing on the upper level which including the wonderful kitchen with center island, a large dining room, and access to the outdoor hot tub. This home is just seconds away from the base of Big Boulder if you choose to ski or go tubing. It is also very convienient to anything else you might need including groceries, ski rentals, liquor store, and Jack Frost is only a simple ride away. The owner was great to deal with, offerring insider tips and recommendations that made life for us very simple. I couldn't imagine the need to stay anywhere else. This home has everything that you could possibly need. We would difinitely recommend this home to friends and family, not just for the winter months, but it would clearly be a great getaway home for the summer months as well. Thanks Jodi!

  We had a wonderful time staying at this property a few weeks ago. We were 2 families with 3 small children between us, and as such we were so excited to be so close to Big Boulder ski resort - it was so easy to pop up and down the road for some skiing and tubing, while we took turns minding the kids at the house. The house itself is gorgeous, it is so clean that you feel like you're at home and the furniture is all really new and well kept, that we just felt right at home from the moment we got there. The house layout is ideal for 2 families, as one took up stairs and one downstairs, and we all had our own large bathrooms and bedrooms for the adults and kids. As other reviewers have mentioned the kitchen is great, we cooked at home both nights as it was a pleasure to use the kitchen and as it's open plan you are still right in the middle of all the action ! We could have used a chopping board and a kettle in the kitchen but apart from that everything was supplied, I would definitely bring a kettle next time as I'm a tea drinker and had to boil water in the saucepans instead ! We were very lucky that it snowed while we were there and the owners had some great little sleds that we could use. Also the hot tub on the deck outside was awesome and we had a really enjoyable evening out there in the snow one night after the kids went to bed. Overall it was a fantastic stay and we would most definitely come back to this house again. The location is just great and the house is so immaculate. Finally the owner Jodi was so friendly and so helpful and easy to deal that she made it all even better !!

  We were lucky to snag this rental property during one of the busiest times of the year - the week b/w Xmas and New Years. This home is a lovely place with enough space for a large family to not feel as though they are on top of each other. There is so much to do in the area and you can see the slopes from the front window. The large wrap-around couch was a place all 6 of us could comfortably hang out while warming up by the easy-on-easy-off fireplace. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing. There were only a few issues that we had (mainly because we got about 8 inches of snow the day we arrived - there was no snow shovel or salt/sand for the ice on the walkway), but most of them, I'm sure have been addressed by the awesome owners. The owners were great and very attentive. We reached them by phone/text and email quickly when we had a hard time figuring out the heating system. If you are a big cook (like we are), the kitchen is awesome - but bring a few of your essential cooking items w/ you like a chef's knife and maybe a large cutting board if you will be doing big meals. The property was very clean and decorated well. We had a young child with us so we were acutely aware of the way noise travels through the house because it is almost all hardwood floors. Just bring earplugs if you have little ones you don't feel like hearing at 6AM! It's an easy fix. Also, there are no lamps in the entire place. This may not bother many, but it was actually something that became a bit frustrating for our family. I never knew I loved lamps so much until I was without one for 5 days (LOL). It's hard to relax with a book at night or just chill and chat when only bright, harsh overhead lighting is available to use. Truly, that would be the only thing I would change - and it's clearly not a big deal. Next time we rent there (and I hope there is a next time because we had a great time at this home), I'll just bring a couple of lamps with me ;) Definitely rent this beautiful and close to EVERYTHING home for your next trip to the Poconos.

  Before Sandy, our town was declared a mandatory evacuation zone. Before we knew it, all the hotels in the surrounding area were booked with no vacancies. We decided to look into renting a house as we had no idea the impact the storm would have and wanted to take all precautions. We found this home online and what a blessing it was! Not only is it a beautiful home inside and out but the owners were equally as wonderful. They were accommodating, understanding and very sympathetic to our situation. The home itself is decorated in a way that makes you feel right at home and there was plenty of games and entertainment to keep us occupied as we rode out the storm. Can't say enough about how great our stay was!

  We were looking for a clean, new and modern house to rent for a vacation stay. That is how this house was advertised, and that is precisely what we found. Nice, clean and updated appliances and bathroom facilities. Lots of clean and well thought-out space. The owner could not have been more accommodating, gracious and pleasant to deal with. We recommend this property with no hesitations.

  We rented this exceptional house last year for the first time and that was such a great experience that we had to come back again this year. The quality, style and cleanliness of the furniture and decor made it feel like a real home instead of just a rental. It's an inspiration! Each and every room were tastefully thought out in its design. It was perfect. We had 3 families, each with a child of 2 or under. It was such an inviting and modern home. We had no worries at all. It was spacious enough for the children to play, adults to relax, and everyone to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend together. We were able to put the kids to bed at a decent hour and enjoy evenings of adult company in the spacious living room. My personal favorite was relaxing in the hottub (and looking up to see the starry sky). Having the grill and deck was superb as well. Also, the TVs throughout the house made it so convenient when we wanted to put in a show for the kids on one and watch what we wanted in another. The kitchen was spacious enough for us to cook and just hang out around the island. For nearby activities, our kids enjoyed the indoor water park at Split Rock (about 10 minutes away if that). They had kiddie areas that our 2 year olds didn't want to leave and also had waterslides, etc for adults. There were many stores and restaurants (Piggy's, Nicks) close by. Not only have we already recommended this house to our friends, but we hope to make it out at least once a year to this home. Thank you for making us feel right at home.

  I can't beleive what an amzaing time my family and I had in this beautiful home in the Poconos. It was so beautifully decorated and spacious. We only decided to go to the Poconos as a last minute vacation and dealing with the ower Jodi was such a pleasure. She was warm, friendly and was so outgoing in making sure that we had everything that we needed. The house was wonderful and fit all of our needs. The game room was exceptional. The one rainy day we had, it really came in handy when trying to entertain three eight year old boys. I also had my seventh month old baby with me and the house was big enough that she could nap wiothout being disrupted. Jodi also sent me information on things to do in the area besides the lake activities. She really welcomed me and my family into her home. I would definetly return to the Poconos and only rent from Jodi. She was amazing. I have never had such a positive experience with an ower and such a wonderful vaction.

As you know, the house is close enough to the mountain that you and your 8 month old can relax at the house while the boys are skiing. Its nice that you can meet them for lunch or hot chocolate, and then in a quick minute be back in the warmth of the house by the fireplace. The winter in the Poconos I believe is all about skiing, snow tubing, and RELAXING!!! Have a great fall season and before we know it we will speak regarding your winter stay!   Wow, time sure does fly, especially when it's back to school time for the kids (sorry for the delay in my review - I know you understand). Hard to believe it's been exactly a month since we spent the weekend at your BEAUTIFUL Pocono home. Thank you so much for renting it to us and working with our schedule. It was a great end of the summer getaway for my family of 4 and another family of 4. There was plenty of room for all of us. The 4 kids (ages 10 thru 14) enjoyed having their own space downstairs to hang out together. It was a great way to end the summer and gear up for back to school. They also enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The lake and restaurant were great and the kids especially liked the trampoline out in the lake. One day we strolled around the town of Jim Thorpe - the shops there are so cute and we toured the prison and stopped by the memorial site/grave on our way back to the house. The house is great! Everything is clean and great quality and seems brand new. Jodi takes great care and pride in her vacation home. Plus she is a great decorator!! In fact she has been helping me out in my home for the past couple of years. Jodi is the sweetest person and you can't go wrong by renting from her. I hope we can make it back there again - maybe for some skiing and snow fun....

  Jodi, thank you so very much for opening your home to our family. The house is amazingly beautiful with thoughtful touches thru out allowing a guest to enjoy every moment of ones surroundings inside & out! Moreover, as you are aware, both someone seeking a home rental and the home owner themselves must forge a trusting relationship as you are opning your home to a stranger. We regrettfully experienced a mis-representation that left us believing our vacation was ruined . Your gracious ability to allow our last minute stay allowed us to walk from a hellish gate thru a heavens gate, when we enetered your home. From the decor to the comfort to the use of club passes (we had an absolute blast @ the lake, beach & pool) and the proximity to everything your home afforded to us to enjoy our outdoor activities of whitewater rafting, fishing, etc. Wishing you every blessing in your new home! and I offer any future guest the reassurance that you will enjoy everything about this home!

Both his photos and description of the house were completely false. A home with no AC! A home with windows that were all LOCKED shut?! Dirty, old Carpet! Moldy smell! No Cable and old TVS for a father/Son weekend away...ALL NOT ACCEPTABLE! I feel relieved knowing that your son with terrible allergies was able to sleep in peace and health at my home. I am happy the boys all had fun on their whitewater rafting trip and then were able to come back to a clean house and relax on the couch and watch TV.   Hi, since I'm 9 month pregnant and too tired to type, I will sum up this property in fews words. BEAUTIFUL,IMMACULATELY CLEAN, LOTS OF FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! OH DID I MENTION, THE OWNER IS THE NICEST PERSON YOU CAN EVER DEAL WITH ! SHES GREAT! THANKS JODY WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!
