Lakeshore Home is a beautiful facility on the shores of Kootenay Lake, a mere minute drive from the city limits of Nelson, BC. Nestled amidst emerald grass and a vast golden beach, we offer 11 rooms, each with a queen size bed and its own 3 piece bathroom. There are two large living rooms, one infamous for its breathtaking view of the waterfront, the other with a billiard table, foosball table, and piano. There is an equipped kitchen and our large dining room offers an expansive view of Kootenay Lake.
This gorgeous lakefront estate has all the comforts and coziness of home. With lush grass leading to the large private beach, sandy volleyball net, a small chapel for quiet reflection, wireless internet, and covered sundeck, this location truly has it all. While relaxing on the beach, guests will enjoy glorious views of both the Orange Bridge and Elephant Mountain. Lakeshore Home is the perfect atmosphere for vacations, small reunions, retreats, seminars, or workshops, or whatever suits your personal desires.
Its tranquil existence is a mere 5 minute drive from Nelson city center, which offers gourmet local cuisine and a unique shopping experience, as well as endless outdoor opportunities. Guests can enjoy a short walk down a country road that connects to John’s Walk, a path along the shores of Kootenay Lake that lead to the picturesque Lakeside Park. From there you can board Nelson’s Streetcar #23 and continue your tour of this Heritage City.

I stayed at this property with my husband and his family (total of 15 adults and 8 children) for 5 nights and it was amazing. The property exceeded all of our expectations and we hope to be able to return. The house had everything we could possibly want and there was so much room, we never felt crowded or in each other's space. The property is the perfect distance from town making it easy to pick up groceries or do some sightseeing. Lisa and her family were very helpful, hospitable and accomodating. I would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We had been looking for a place that could accommodate 23 people each with their own bedroom & bathroom plus meals together. This was the BEST.... Lisa the owner was very helpful and courteous. Having the water at our door step, a huge lawn for games we couldn't have asked for more. We would recommend this home to anyone that has a large group.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at this beautiful (upmarket) villa for three nights. It was absolutely magical... the bedrooms were so clean, pretty and welcoming (with quality linen and towels) and we had a lakeside view. The accommodation was very spacious with two large lounges to relax in. A large size snooker/pool table provided for the guests to use and a lovely decking area to sit and read or eat al fresco. It was situated in a quiet location next to the lake, just a short drive out of town. Lisa the owner was so approachable and helpful in every way... a lovely lady, very genuine. We would definitely recommend this stunning place and of course if we ever visited BC again, return for another visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
