Welcome to our private home on the top of Calkins Lane; one of oregon wine country's premiere locations for exquisite vineyards, breathtaking views and peaceful getaways. Our home has been recently remodelled from the ground up with a focus on entertaining. The floor plan is perfect for two couples travelling together or a small group of friends who enjoy the freedom of their own kitchen, terrace and grounds to call their own. Private catering can be arranged for your cooking needs. We are well connected to the neighborhood and are able to share detailed information to help make your trip smooth and successful. Hot air ballooning, massages, horseback riding, daytrips to the coast or Mt. Hood are all at your fingertips. This is a strong location from which to either travel to all 5 AVA's within your stay, or simply tuck away and be secluded on your own grounds. This is a special place to truly relax & unwind. There are many windows facing east and the light pours in! The third bedroom is approx. 12x11' and is furnished with a double bed with windows facing west and north to the vineyard. The bedroom you see pictured here is furnished with a queen bed and has built in cabinets and bookshelf, with french doors leading out to the front patio where you can enjoy morning sunrises over the chehalem mountain. One hour drive from Portland International Airport or 15 minutes from the private Evergreen airport in McMinnville, and you are in another world! The location is central to all area AVA's of the northern willamette valley; 10 minutes to either Dundee or Newberg . Great location to wine taste (6 wineries on Calkins Lane itself); featuring deLancellotti Family Vineyards, Bergstrom Winery, Lachini, Arborbrook and Adelsheim. The adjacent streets house exquisite wineries such as Brick House, Beaux Freres, and Penner Ash to name a few. 2 minutes to Ribbon Ridge AVA, 5 minutes to Dundee Hills AVA and 10-15 minutes to Carlton and McMinnville area wineries, we are situated on the north end of the Chehalem Mountain AVA where wineries abound. We are 15 minutes to Linfield and 10 minutes to George Fox. There is a private small craft airstrip at the base of Calkins Lane if you prefer to fly privately to Evergreen Aviation, then a quick helicopter or small craft to Chehalem Airpark.

The accommodations were fantastic! We loved being surrounded by vineyards with a hilltop view. The house was nicely appointed with very comfortable furniture and bedding. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore the Willamette Valley wine region or just a quite country getaway.

What a perfect retreat in the heart of wine country! We stayed here for three nights in early December, and couldn't have been happier. The house was so much bigger than the internet images showed, and the interior finishes and accomodations were top notch. We walked the property, and were so impressed with the homeowner's accessibility to assist us with arrival questions and fantastic restaurant recommendations. We will not only return, but will happily recommend this property. Would be fantastic for families too!

Beautifully designed cottage, with everything you need at your fingertips. Top of the line appliances, spacious, and clean. Truly serene and blisfully peaceful, you will never want to leave. Great for a family, fully stocked, just unpack and enjoy. The outdoor gardens are simply amazing with vineyards and rolling hills. Exceptionally private. 5 stars without a doubt.
