The photo does not tell the full story of this property. Very lovely, private and secluded. Furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. And the view is incredible! Property is immaculate and well-maintained. Kitchen is generously equipped and appliances are up to date and well-kept. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting in every respect. During our week, we visited Harpers Ferry, the Bavarian Inn at Shepherdstown, hiked on the C&O Towpath, and enjoyed an evening of tasting and music at the Bloomery Distillery. Several days, our daughter enjoyed kayaking and zip-lining while my husband and I read in the peace and quiet of the surroundings. While there, internet access was not available, but a quick drive down the mountain took us to the Jumping Java Coffee House where we enjoyed their delicious milkshakes while we took care of any necessary communications via their wi-fi. The owner is very pleasant and accommodating, and we would recommend this rental with no hesitation. It was everything we'd hoped it would be, and more.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My wife and I spent the weekend here with friends and had a great time. We have a baby and our friends have a 3-year old and baby, and there was more than enough privacy and space in the house to keep everyone happy and occupied. The house is a 3-minute drive (or about a mile-long walk) from the Appalachian Trail, so outdoors activities were super accessible. The view from the house was fantastic, and the house (and deck) make the most of it with big windows and well-placed hang-out space. The price was right and we'd stay here again. Only down-side was needing to bring or own linens and towels. Everything else was great!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The property location is absolutely beaufiful. It is very nicely decorated and a very comfortable place to stay. From a practical standpoint, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook for our family of 5. The bedrooms are great and very comfortable. The view out the back deck and enclosed porch is spectacular. We have rented vacation properties at the New Jersey Shore. I expected similar furnishings and interiors to those but was very impressed by this property which is far more comfortable, far better furnished and decorated, and so much more unique than anything we have stayed in New Jersey. I have lived in Northern Virginia in my past so I was prepared for the fact that in these types of communities virtually any store or destination is twenty minutes away. You have to be aware of this in planning your day I would highly recommend this property for those who enjoy the beauty of nature but also enjoy the comforts of home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This is an amazing cabin with such wonderful views. We loved the daily ritual of watching the sunset from the deck. The interior was just as amazing as the view, my family loved getting away and will make this a regular retreat. The local towns were nice day trips.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

The cabin was beautiful with floor to ceiling wood and views of the whole valley from the sun room, kitchen and large back patio. The cabin is very spacious and cozy - a perfect chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but also close to Harpers Ferry, different vineyards and other attractions. We hope to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

What a wonderful stay. Great experience. The cabin has impressive architecture, elegant décor, is well furnished and more than comfortable for my family of six. The view is absolutely gorgeous. Stunning, quiet, private. Proximity to the Appalachian Trail, Charles Town antiques, golf, quaint restaurants, white water rafting and tubing made our stay one of the best ever. Highest possible recommendation. We will definitely return.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks so much for this helpful review Mike. I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed yourselves and hope you'll stay at the cabin again. Lisa

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It's location in the mountain was private and serene. The view was breathtaking. The decor and furniture was so appropriate and cozy. It felt like a home away from home. Everything was clean and tidy. The location was very close to the attractions we visited in Harpers Ferry such as lazy river tubing, hiking part of the Appalachian trail, and biking the C & O Canal. We would definitely want to come back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My son and I stayed at this lovely cabin while attending a family reunion over the Fourth of July weekend. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was impeccable inside. Outside, the view is stunning with many comfortable spots inside and out to view it from. It is close to Harpers Ferry and Charles Town with lots of history, Wine tasting, hiking, and river rafting. We loved our stay and hope to come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
