  We loved our stay at the bungalow! Super comfortable for our family of 3 + a dog, it was convenient to the public beaches in both Carolina beach and Kure, & not far from the state park where we take our dog. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up dinner from the Blackburn Brothers (sp?) fish market in Carolina Beach, and with plenty of towels and bags on the premises, the owners have made sure you are prepared for a week at the beach. The unit also is well appointed with games and books should part of your stay get rained out! In addition, Kimberly was super responsive when we contacted her about a last minute rental in-between longer tenants (when we got into town our original rental was occupied!) She took care of us, got the place cleaned up in no time, and met us personally to get us in salvage our vacation. We loved Carolina & Kure beaches, and this bungalow was a fabulous way to enjoy them- we'd definitely come back.

  Tom and Kimberly are the great owners of this beach rental. We're welcomed to the rental with a gift bag filled with dog treats and picture frame for your vacation memories. They are more than willing to give a beautiful well kept cottage full with what you need as well as welcome your dog ( in our case 2 dogs) to their home. Its a few blocks from the beach. Its a few more past that to personally the best restaurant on the island... The tiki bar and ocean grill. Everything was simply perfect. The front deck and back yard was well kept and a nice place to relax. And they had beach cruisers with baskets for 2. I can't say much more than I WILL 100% recommend this place to any small family or couple. It's excellent. Thanks Tom and Kimberly

  This darling bungalow was perfect for my husband, daughter and I to enjoy a weekend at the beach. It is located in a little residential neighborhood a short walk from the ocean. The home is beautifully decorated in bright, beachy colors with a fully equipped kitchen, large master suite and cute second bedroom. There were comfortable chairs and table on the front porch to enjoy the Carolina weather (be sure to bring bug spray). The beds were comfortable with soft sheets and the furniture was inviting and well cared for. The welcome bag with treats, maps and town information was such a nice touch by Kimberly. We would definitely recommend the property and are already planning our next trip to Carolina Beach to enjoy this darling cottage again next year.

  We had a tremendous time at this wonderful little bungalow! We arrived on a Monday evening in a huge thunderstorm and had to wait in the car till things calmed down and we could get into the house! We were a bit discouraged, but our mood quickly changed upon entering the comfortable, beautifully decorated bungalow. It was so charming and we immediately felt as though we were at our home away from home! Kimberley and Tom had even placed a welcome basket on the dining room table chocked full of goodies for us. It even had a bag of dog treats in it for our Beagle Boxer Molly and our Jack Russell Sugar. The house was filled with absolutely everything we needed and more to experience a wonderful week. Everything was super-clean and tidy. The master bedroom was very large and the king-sized bed was so very comfortable! We walked to the beach every morning...a pleasant walk at that! Each afternoon we would sight-see around the quaint town (the aquarium, the ferry to southport, to name but a few). We also enjoyed our meals at Granny's Kitchen (fried green tomatoes), Jack Mackerel's, and Michael's Seafood. We walked our dogs around the neighborhood each morning and evening. In between we enjoyed all the comforts of home at the bungalow. Couldn't ask for much more! Kimberley and Tom were the BEST hosts. We could always contact them and they were very helpful. They even arranged for us to stay an additional night on the spur of the moment (because we were having such a good time, we did not want to leave!) We left the morning hurricane IRENE was rushing up the east coast...even then, we wish we could have stayed at The Bungalow! :) We would definitely recommend this place for anyone seeking out a comfortable, well-maintained beach house! We hope to visit The Bungalow again!!!

  We had such a wonderful time at The Bungalow. When we arrived it was pouring rain and storming badly, so we felt some what discouraged as we waited for an opportunity to get out of the car between lightening strikes! BUT when we entered The Bungalow all of our discouragement disappeared! We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket chocked full of goodies! Tom and Kimberley even included a bag of treats for our two dogs (Molly, our Beagle Boxer, and Sugar, our Jack Russell). They had even recently put a new king-sized bed in the master bedroom which was so comfortable! The bungalow itself is so sweet, extemely clean, and so very comfortable. The decor was so tastefully done and the whole place was stocked with absolutely everything we could possibly have needed! The bungalow is tucked back into a very quiet, secluded area off of the main street. However, it was conveniently located just 6 blocks from the beach. We walked to the beach everyday. We took Molly and Sugar for walks around the beautiful neighborhood every morning and evening. We enjoyed Granny's Kitchen (fried green tomatoes...YUM!) and the great seafood at Jack Mackerel's. We took the dogs to the dog parks to run. We rode the Ferry to Southport, and we went to the aquarium which was fasinating! After every busy day, it was such a blessing to go back to The Bungalow for all the comforts of home! Kimberly and Tom were so wonderful to work with and always made themselves available to us in case we needed anything. We were having such a great time, we asked if we could stay an extra night and Kimberly and Tom allowed us to do so without any difficulty. We found the area of Carolina Beach to be so much fun and the people were so friendly. We were there the week hurricane Irene was making her way up the coast so we got a taste of what you coastal people go through in preparation for such an event! We are from the Shenandoah Valley, so we don't have many IRENE experiences! Tom and Kimberly even checked on us to make sure we made it home alright! We would highly recommend this rental property for all of the things mentioned above! We would love to stay at The Bungalow again and we plan to! Thanks again Kimberly and Tom!

  My family and I stayed there during the week of the 4th of July. It was our first time in North Carolina and we are glad we stayed in the Bungalow. It is located on a very quiet street within walking distance to the beach and the Tiki Bar. The house was spotless, nicely decorated and had everything we could need. We enjoyed going to the beach during the day and relaxing on the patio in the evening. I highly recommend this property to others. PS. If you wake up early enough, you might see the deer that comes by every day. My 5 year old loved it.

  The pictures for this cute little house do not do it justice. The owners were extremely hospitable and the house was clean and wonderful. The kitchen is a little small, but everything you need. The master bedroom is huge!!! Overall I think we counted that between the double bed in the master bedroom, one twin pull-out couch, one double (or queen) pull-out couch, one double futon, a twin bed and a trundle you could sleep a nice sized little family in there. It has 2 full bathrooms, one with a bathtub/shower (master bed) and the other with a very roomy shower. For the location and amount of people we slept (6 comfortably with extra space) you couldn't find a better price. I highly reccomend this for families with lots of kids too. The bed configuration would've been perfect for my family growing up! It also had all kinds of amenities like the beach cruiser bikes, outside hose, large porch and backyard, grill etc, that many houses we've stayed in did not. It's within a very short drive or walk to many beaches, stores, the boardwalk etc...We loved this house and will probably stay here again if we come to Carolina beach again.

  Great little beach house with updated furnishings! This little house had a lot of things going for it. The price was good, as was the location. The only down side was the kitchen. There wasn't much space to put groceries and there was no can opener, blender or cooking knives. Other than that what a great place and awesome owners who are very hospitable.

  Owner response: Can opener, kitchen knives and blender have now been replaced- our college aged son decided "to borrow" them for his apartment in Chapel Hill and forgot to tell us =)

  What a charming little beach bungalow! We had a great time in Carolina Beach! The kids loved Britts doughnuts, the boardwalk, the ferry to southport, and of course the BEACH!! Beautifully decorated and furnished...plenty of towels, sheets, and every other ammenity! Thanks so much for sharing your little Bungalow! We will be back....
