We want to return to Beach Destiny again and again! We loved our vacation. Each night we were out on the Tommy Bahama chairs just a few steps to the beach enjoying the beautiful sunsets. We didn't cook very much in the awesome kitchen, (vacation, you know!) but we loved the restaurants all walking distance from the house. We rented boats, went fishing, Kayaking, Doc Ford, Crow's Nest, and more more more. Having the bikes at the house was awesome. The electric car was not there because of service but really not needed. Weather was beautiful, never needed the fire pit on the lower level. The only problem was the air conditioning didn't work when we first got there, and there was a water break on the street but one phone call and it was fixed PRONTO! Would have liked it if the fireplaces inside the house worked...but oh well! It's Captiva! ~ Loved Loved Loved it. I have recommended Beach Destiny and your service to others here on the "left" coast. You are great!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Beach Destiny was amazing and exceeded all of our expectations! The location was excellent for our family vacation which included the grandparents, children and teenagers. We loved the casual island feel and beautiful beaches. Restaurants, shopping and watersport rentals are all just within a few short blocks. Sunsets were best from the patio. The house had EVERYTHING for the beach-chairs, umbrellas, toys, fishing poles, crabbing gear, coolers and even a cart to wheel it all the 20 ft to the beach! There wasn't a thing that we needed that the house didn't already have. Everything was very clean and in great condition. We were very impressed with all the little details- lots of bath and beach towels, nice linens on the beds, very nice Trek bikes, etc. The electric car was perfect to get around the 5 mile long island. Even though the owners and the property manager are not local, they have an excellent maintenance man who was very responsive when we had a maintenance issue. The only "negative" was that groceries were very expensive on the island and it was a 40-45 minute drive to get off the island. I would definitely recommend making one large trip to the grocery store or Sams in Fort Myers when you arrive.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was our second year staying @ "Beach Destiny". The owners have made some awesome additions to the home since we were last there! The home is perfect for our family, the beach is just a few steps away from the back porch. The kids never tire playing on the beach, we watched many beautiful sunsets with them each night. The place is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for your stay @ the beach. Our family enjoyed the use of the Trek bikes in the garage, the beach toys, umbrella & loungers... On the few nights we didn't cook, we took in the awesome local rest. just around the corner. Some of our favorites are the Mucky Duck, Green Flash, and the lil Mexican rest. @ the end of Wightman Ln. We would recommend this property to all our friends and family and can't wait to visit it again next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My extended family stayed at Beach Destiny in August 2011. The house was wonderful - I don't think the pictures and description capture the beauty of the views. The house and its location were even better than anticipated. We didn't drive much - the quick walk to a number of nice restaurants and activities, together with the location at the end of a shady street gives you the best of both worlds. It feels secluded, but you can get a Margarita in a minute. The house is well cared for and very comfortable. We enjoyed the Mucky Duck, RC Otter's, Key Lime Bistro, & Captiva Cantina. I would recommend bringing home take out though because your own balcony has the best sunset view in town!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
