What a wonderful vacation! Three couples, one beautiful villa, three private king size suites, one private pool was all it was made out to be and more. Style, atmosphere, comfort, inviting and accommodating. Beach front scenery and beauty all at our disposal. From the moment we were picked up at the airport and greeted with cold frozen washcloths (just what we needed) to the cold Belikin beer in the fridge upon arrival, our hosts Stewart and Aaron made us feel welcomed and at home. Aaron took expert care of us from setting up our golf cart rentals for transportation (the best way to get around) to booking our 2 excursions to the Monkey River (ask for Everista as your tour guide, he was great) and IXCACAO Mayan Belizean chocolate farm, Mayan ruins (Nim Li Punit) and Mayan family visit. Be sure to ask for Cayequest Tours (Lyra) extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Aaron's recommendations for local markets for groceries and restaurants cooking up local fare were top notch. Fine dining at its best can be had at the Mayan Bistro, Mangos and Sweet Mama's. In Placencia Village be sure to visit Rumfish, The Secret Garden and Barefoot Bar. At the villa, we so enjoyed using the kayaks available to cruise the ocean and shoreline and riding the property on the bicycles provided. What beautiful flowers, trees and bridges we found along the way. And I must mentioned the iquanas, amazing fast creatures. This was by far the best relaxing vacation we have experienced. What more could you ask for, sun, warm temps, a beautiful villa (did I mention the quaint outdoor showers), private pool, the shoreline and beauty of the Caribbean Sea. We truly were in paradise! We highly recommend this property and location. Thanks Aaron for making this all it was expected to be and more.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent 10 days in placencia staying at this property. It was perfect for our needs, with 3 couples traveling together. The house was set up perfectly for this type of holiday, and was completely as advertised. Placencia was always a favorite destination for me and continues to be as charming as ever. The Cocoplum property was perfect and the property was fabulous as well. It was private, well kept, relaxing. Town was easy to access, but far enough away that you were not impacted by the business. I highly recommend staying here for your holiday and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have. The property owner was extremely attentive and helpful during our stays, the property was clean and well maintained, the photos are accurate and the description was accurate.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Every spring since our daughter started school we take a family trip when school lets out for Easter break. Our 2013 destination trip was to beautiful Belize, and we started planning nine months in advance. When we travel we enjoy having abundant space, privacy, a peaceful relaxing environment, and the comforts of home. We like the flexibility of being able to prepare our own meals, as well as enjoy the local / native food at restaurants on our terms. The busy, traditional hotels and all-inclusive resorts do not appeal to us, and it was apparent to us early on that Belize is not a country where tourism is about busy, bustling resorts with 1,000+ hotel rooms and multiple on-site restaurants serving the same food we would find at home in the United States. We found the listing for this beach villa at Coco Plum, and we knew it would be the perfect fit for us. This year we were including our daughter's two grandmothers on the family trip, and we wanted them to be able to have some private space of their own when they settled in for the evening. The layout of the villa is shaped like the letter "U," with kitchen, dining and living space on the first floor common area, and the second floor is a beautiful master suite with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. The remaining sections of the "U" configuration are two private first floor master bedroom suites, loctated on either side of the private outdoor pool / sundeck. The yard, bushes, and trees between the villa and the private beachfront are perfectly maintained, and the private beach is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed grilling outdoors and having late dinner under the stars at the poolside table. Aaron, the rental manager, is a first class host and concierge. We wanted for nothing. He recommended we see the country by driving in from Belize City as opposed to taking a puddle-jumper flight from Belize City to Placencia, which was a great idea. He arranged the rental vehicle, a full-size 4-door cab Ford pickup with locking bed cover...seating for 5 and room for six suitcases... from Crystal Rentals in Belize City. It worked out perfectly for day trips to see the Xunantinich Mayan ruins as well as other travel points, was far less expensive than a full-size Expedition or Suburban, and less money than flying 5 of us into Placenica from Belize City. Aaron personally arranged snorkeling, a Monkey River tour, restaurants, and much more for us, and stopped in daily to check on us. Fantastic place!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you Aaron and Stewart. We all had a wonderful week at Cocoplum. You both made us all feel very welcome. The Beach House was as beautiful as the pictures show. The house was very clean and well stocked of all the necessites to make our dream vacation come true. We visited two Mayan ruins, went ziplining and river tubbing with Andrew at Big Falls, went snokeling with Avadon Divers, Fly Fishing with Ian, hiking in the Cockscomb Basin, and explored the ATM Cave. Our favorite resturant in Placencia was Rum Fish followed by Maya Beach Hotel Bistro. We had gelato at Tutti Frutti daily. If you are having a hard time choosing a place to stay in Belize.....your best bet is staying at the Beach House at Cocoplum. You will not be disappointed. We will be back!!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We’ve been home from the beautiful beach house in Cocoplum for almost two weeks now and we’re still trying to face reality. The home was absolutely perfect for us. We are a group of six, (three couples) and the house seemed to be built for us and our needs. The three separate bedrooms were ideal, spacious and comfortable with each having its own really beautiful bathroom. The outdoor showers were amazing! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast and lunches, and it was a great space to gather in the mornings, brew some coffee, connect to the wifi and check up on emails, surf the internet, and share pictures with poor saps at home that didn’t get to come. We had Sharon come to cook for us for one dinner and she had everything she needed to put the meal together. (Great meal by the way, we would recommend having her come to cook for you, just ask Aaron and he will set up a meeting with her to go over details) The pool was clean and comfortable, we just wish there would have been some pool floats to lounge in, to enjoy it more. I haven’t ever stayed so close to the beach before and this was a great location, literally in your back yard. The staff cleaned up the beach every morning and kept it groomed for each day of play. It was very private, rare that we ever saw anyone else out there, and when we did they were very friendly and non-intrusive. We enjoyed it at every part of the day throughout our stay, from before the sun come up to well after it went down. The sun rising through the mist was breathtaking and the cozy fire on the beach at night was something that I got to check off my bucket list. Aaron was so pleasant and accommodating. From before we arrived, to the day we left he took care of our every want and need. I could ramble on about how great he was but the bottom line is; he made our vacation better than it would have been without him. He helped us with the car rental, the tours, information about the local restaurants, and recommendations. He checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time, and was really a perfect host. Stuart was equally accommodating; it was nice to know that their main goal was to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The pictures I took look like something out of a travel magazine and people that didn’t go with us can’t believe that they are real. It was a perfect way to spend a week, away from Utah snow haze and freezing cold winter. Next time I hope to be able to spend two.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Sorry for the delay in writing this review. We've been home for a month today and we are still missing it! Wow, everything described in the description of the property was accurate though the description doesn't adequately describe the property. It's fantastic. We were a family traveling for a vacation. My husband, myself, our two sons and their girlfriends. Great place for a family vacation but very romantic for three couples. The bedrooms were fantastic and the outdoor showers were amazing. The upstairs bedroom with the covered deck was gorgeous. Lovely place to sit and look out over to the sea. The common area was great to sit and visit in while surfing the net. Everything anyone needed to cook with was in the kitchen. One evening when Aaron came over and made us great tasting Pina Coladas. Outdoors was beautiful. The deck has an overhang with a table and six chairs. Lovely place to dine! Shade around the pool plus areas to relax in the sun. Lovely pool though the last step is quite a giant step down. Beach with the variety of trees is gorgeous. Very private and we only saw a few people on the beach when we were there. The one day family members went kayaking. Very interesting experience. A few waves. Aaron prior to our arrival had helped with the organizing of the trip. He directed us to Avadon Divers for our snorkeling and diving needs for two days. Most professional company that we have ever used. He also booked us on a trip up the Monkey River with Trip n Travel. Again a wonderful choice. Aaron suggested that we stay at the Black Orchid Resort near the airport on the night of our arrival, as we had family members arriving the next day and we all stayed there the night before our departure. Couldn't have made a better choice. Very convenient to the airport no driving through Belize City. He made arrangements for our rental cars. Awaiting us when we arrived. Our second evening after we arrived we spent in Belmopan at the Villa San Juan as we were driving to Xunantunich on the western border of Belize. All his suggestions were fantastic. So when he offers to help you with other details of your vacation. Please take him up on the offer. It will make your trip all the better. I need his cleaning lady as she is the best cleaner I have ever seen or had! She worked all day. The villa is gorgeous but it is the personal attention that makes the vacation! We couldn't have asked for a better host. Thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our group of 6 had a great vacation at the villa! The house is amazing and Aaron is a wonderful host. He was most gracious in handling any and all questions before we got to Belize, and then followed up with great service by helping recommend restaurants and activities in the area. Just dont let him hear you say 'Unbelizable'! There's always questions and issues when traveling to a new area and Aaron was a class act in handling everything we needed. He even stopped by to make us his signature pina coladas. To top it off the Villa is a beautiful house!! You even get the convenience of WiFi to keep you connected. The internet tends to go up and down and you only get about 2Mb/s but its enough to get you access to google maps and check out local reviews and menus. You'll definitely want to rent some local transportation as the trip into placencia village is a hike. If you want to venture off the peninsula get something with 4WD as the dirt roads can be tricky.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Very often, I will rent places online, only to be disappointed when I arrive. Not the case for this stunning property on the beach in Placencia, Belize! The pictures of the home look exactly like the home and the pool, the sand and the beach are in the proximity depicted. Five of us went on this vacation - December 26th of 2012, and we all said it was the vacation of a lifetime! Aaron was our host and he was responsive and accommodating - making sure we were welcomed and had everything we needed. He set up tours for us and followed up to make sure we were comfortable. He was fun and engaging and made our stay outstanding. He knows the area really well, and was able to contact people right away - because we didn't schedule anything in advance. The beds were top notch - we slept well, we swam everyday - in the ocean and in the pool. The beach was virtually deserted except for a few folks going for a stroll. The water was clear and clean and we took the kayaks out to the island to snorkel one day. The restaurants were amazing - lots of value for the dollar! Can't miss - Mayan Bistro; Mango Tree; the Secret Garden. Total local cuisine with no ambiance - but fun to try - Vern's. Fun bar - the Barefoot Bar. Great art to buy - Art and Soul. Cocoplum - the area we stayed in - fabulous! Clean, secure, luxurious - and a perfect location - we cannot wait to go back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Beach Front Villa at Cocoplum is a truly amazing place. In my group, there were three couples and we stayed for 10 nights in late November/early December. The Villa was a perfect fit for us: we each had our own bedroom and bathroom (the outdoor showers in the downstairs bedrooms are fantastic) and shared the kitchen/living room space. The kitchen was essential as we chose to cook and eat many of our meals at the Villa. It really is as wonderful of place as the photos show. The pool and private beach was positively fabulous and we all enjoyed it daily, either by using the Villa's kayaks to paddle out the nearby island and snorkle, swim, fish from the beach, lounge on the Villa's beach chairs, or enjoy an evening bonfire (whereby the Villa's caretakers collected the firewood!). We also took advantage of the Villa's three bicycles to cruise to town or the grocery store, or to accompany one another on a run. Aaron and his father (property owners) were perfect hosts - welcoming us warmly, answering all of our questions, helping us plan our daily adventures, organizing cleaning days, and more. They were part of why we enjoyed our stay at the Villa so much! Aaron is an amazing guitar player and we were able to listen to him play at Roger's Grove one evening. This was my first VRBO experience and it has set a very high standard because they were incredibly generous, professional, and fun to interact with. The Villa's location fit my group's needs perfectly. We rented a car from Belize City and based all of our day trips from the Villa. It is only a hop-skip to Maya Beach and to the end of the peninsula in Placencia, but we also went inland to enjoy jungle hikes and waterfalls, so the car was great to have. We snorkled with a local company (Splash) one day, but then found Jeff Scott (Daytripper Catamaran Charters) who charters a catamaran out of the dock at Yoli's Bar and Grill and could have spent every day on his boat drinking his rum punches and snorkeling to our hearts content! The guys in our group went fishing a couple of days with two different guides (I forgot who, sorry, but Aaron knows) and had an epic time catching bone fish and more. It's hard to fit in this review all of the fun places we went and adventures we had, but trust me when I say that Placencia is a fabulous place to vacation and the Beach Villa at Cocoplum is the best place to stay! We will be back because we still need to see the Mayan Ruins and there's so much more snorkeling to do!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

For my husband's 40th birthday this year, he chose to go to Belize. Having never been there, it took some time researching on the internet. I came across this amazing beach front villa and immediately emailed the property manager. He, in turn, emailed me back right away with all the specifics. It sounded to good to be true. The pictures of the house and surrounding area were amazing and I hoped that the real thing would be half as amazing as the photos. What we found when we arrived was even better than what we'd seen in the pictures. The photos of Coco Plum do not do it proper justice. It is truly amazing and beautiful. We had our own private beach off of our back porch and a private pool on the deck. All three of the bedrooms were very spacious with very comfortable king size beds, gorgeous tubs and even out door showers. Each bedroom had its own entrance from the outside making it very private. We cooked fresh, caught fish from our deep sea fishing adventure, in the gourmet kitchen, and had fresh fruits and vegetables from the many available local markets close by and in the town of Placencia. The property managers were so helpful and friendly as well and always willing to assist us with making plans or answering any questions we had. We went with two other couples and I know that all would agree that Coco Plum is definitely a little piece of Heaven right here on Earth. We can't wait to return! It was truly an amazing experience that I would recommend to all.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

First off, let me start by saying that a 2 hour direct flight from Miami turned into a 25 hour journey due to a hurricane in the midst of Miami. I must say though the welcoming we got when we actually did arrive was excellent even though it was late! There was a full dinner of lobster tail, fish, rice & beans and more, all cooked by Mrs. Gulianna. Mrs. Guilianna was a key part of enjoying this trip to the fullest. Aaron who owns the property with his father recommended her after I inquired about having someone local prepare food for us at the house. She made all local flavored food for us, all you need to do is take her grocery shopping to get supplies and she'll handle the rest. Every evening we went down the road and picked her up to bring her to the house to prepare dinner. We loved Mrs. Guilianna so much that we invited her and her family as well as Aaron and his family to the house for our final full day to have a big BBQ and pool party! As far as the house itself, I can't think of one complaint. Well, except for one being that their was no stereo to use to play music but Aaron quickly fixed that by providing a nice Bose radio he had. Also, there were 3 adults and 1 child on our trip but only two bikes. Once again, Aaron fixed that issue as well! The house was so relaxing and was laid out perfectly. The kitchen and living room area and pool was the perfect place to all be together, but then the bedrooms were perfectly separated so that we could escape off on our own. The kayaks that were provided were great and we went all the way out to the key behind the house and went snorkeling. The house was extremely private with very few passer byes on the beach so tops for the women were never worn! The bathrooms in the house were awesome, especially the showers where you were basically showering out doors but with privacy. So some things I highly recommend: 1. You must higher Mrs. Guilianna to do your cooking or at least some of it. You will experience the true taste of the local food. Also it's a huge savings and much more relaxing than eating out every night. You have a full kitchen so why not use it! 2. If you want to venture off to go and do different excursions like hiking and stuff, definitely get a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the secondary roads. 3. You need to give yourself at least 4 hours to be safe to drive from the airport. I recommend renting a car though so that you have the freedom to go places. Enjoy your stay!!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Ths house is truly the real deal when it comes to luxury and convenience. Everything in the house is even more fabulous than the pictures depict. From the immaculate clean house to the amazing hospitality of the staff. The island has many places to go adventure seeking but the house itself has all the comodities one would need to kick back relax and not need to go anywhere. For someone that loves road trips and finding locations there was plenty adventures we found but nothing beat the realization that we were going "home" to this house many days we unexpectedly chose to stay at the house enjoy the beach, pools and kayak.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is where Paradise begins! Aaron was a help from the very beginning, car rental and dive shop. The drive was beautiful on the way to Placencio. We used all three rooms of the villa and could not decide which was more beautiful. We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean and a swim before breakfast. Even the rain didn't damper our stay. My sisters and I wanted to take our mom to some place new and exotic for her 60th birthday: we are thrilled to have stayed at Cocoplum. The photos don't even begin to capture the lovely attention to detail in the rooms (the outdoor shower spoiled me), or the crystal clear water just steps away (yes, we kayaked with playing dolphins one morning), or the wonderful attention and hospitality from Aaron and all of the staff (Aaron will cut fresh coconuts for you if you ask and he makes a supremely delicious pina colada). A car is certainly necessary if for no other reason then to make a daily trip to Tutti Fruitti for the best gelato outside of Italy....but we ventured out on a number of fun adventures each day...and we were always glad to return to such an enchanting home and an amazing meal from a local cook Juliana (be sure to ask if she is available during your stay; we liked her cooking so much, we hardly at out). It was a birthday celebration to remember!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I had the wonderful experience staying at the Beach Front Villa at Coco Plum along with three other couples, two of which stayed for two weeks and two of us couples stayed for a month. The villa afforded all of us the privacy and luxury we looked forward to and we thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling, eating at great restaurants and visiting the local villages. One of the greatest experiences was our visit to a Maya ruin and observing howler monkeys in their natural habitat. Also, enjoying the culture and diversity of the local people. We can't say enough about how helpful and friendly Aaron, Stewart and all of their staff were in answering our incessant questions, and directing us to all the points of interest not to be missed. We will always be grateful to them for making a trip of a lifetime "a trip of a lifetime"!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Does this sound like we enjoyed it?? You bet! The pictures and description of this beautiful home are spot-on. The wonderful hospitality of and assistance from both the rental property manager and the owner of the development were greatly appreciated. Their knowledge of the area answered our one million questions throughout our month-long stay. They and their staff are folks who truly want you to have a memorable trip to Belize, and they must believe that it starts at "home base," because it certainly did. Their complete staff, from house service, to "beachkeeper," to security, were competent and friendly, and made us feel pampered and secure our entire 30-day stay. Located on the Caribbean Sea, the house is situated ideally on the property for the morning sunrise over the sea, and a slight breeze to keep you comfortable from both insects and the late afternoon sun (which by that time is on the front side of the house). We saw very FEW insects while there, not necessarily so when you travel inland to the mainland. The friendly communities nearby offer shopping for necessities as well as wonderful artwork, etc., and the restaurants surrounding you in a 6-8 mi. radius will impress you. Delicious and oh, so satisfying!! The villa itself is ideal for three couples--each oversized (and beautiful) bedroom and bath is very private, and awaking to the sounds of the sea and feel of the breeze each morning is indescribable. The "gathering spot", the combined kitchen/living area is cozy with SIX in the kitchen but more than ample when opened up to the lovely deck area. The kayaks and pool were great, and swimming in front of the house is easy and safe--shallow for a distance and very warm. Kayaking to the closest caye from the house finds wonderful snorkeling. Bird watching and plenty of lagoons and wildlife on property to discover. All in all, FABULOUS!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My two sisters, my husband, me and one brother-in-law stayed at the beach house Jan. 22-Feb. 4. What a fabulous time!. Aaron was great smoothing the way with a rental car and anything else we wanted to know and/or do. We felt safe and had total privacy. We took the opportunity to meet local people in Placencia Village. Everyone was so nice. I would recommend coffee from the little stand next to the farmers' market (and shopping at the farmers' market. Just get there early in the day). Maya Beach Bistro has great food (Monday nights Aaron plays guitar for background music, very nice), Wendy's has delicious fry jacks and don't forget to go to Brenda's at the end of the Village. She is a character and has delicious jerk chicken and tamales. Anne Marie at AVADON Divers was helpful setting up tours (If you do the Monkey river tour, make sure it is the season to actually see wildlife) even though we didn't use her for snorkeling. She recommended Miss Dana at the end of the walk for our snokeling excursion to Silk Caye and the barrier reef. This was an excellent trip, great lunch and we saw beautiful turtles and rays along the barrier reef. I would recommend getting to know the locals (say hi to Orlando, the crossing guard) and visit Khadijah at the Treasure Chest (by the soccer field )for beautiful hand made jewelry. She customized a lot of her jewelry for my sisters and added bling to baskets we purchased from the Mayan women who sell along the street and sidewalk. And you must visit Leo, who sells wood carvings along the walk. Definitely bargain with him, it is part of the fun of doing business with him. All in all, we had a fabulous time and will come back. I would strongly recommend renting a car (ask Aaron for help) and bring bug spray. NoSeeums (sand flies) liked my tender flesh. Not so much my companions, but just in case, bring some.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

One can hear the ocean waves from each bedroom. The upstairs suite has a fantastic view of the sea. To appreciate all that the area has to offer, one must have a rental car. We stayed at the Coco Plum beach house Dec. 31st - January 9. We were 6 people total, myself, husband our 2 children ages 10&12 and another couple. Aaron and Stewart were so helpful and everything we asked for they provided in a timely manner. The house is divided into three separate sleeping suites which is perfect for privacy. The house is located inside of a secured, gated development and we felt so safe never having an issue with our belongings or people coming around the house uninvited which you may experience at other properties we saw along the peninsula. All of the furnishings are top notch and new. Very comfortable beds, good air conditioning and pretty wireless internet service. You are a 15 minute drive from the village downtown which is really perfect. Here are some recommended things for your trip: Restaurants: Maya Beach Bistro- fantastic food and great wine list, make reservations though or you will have a hard time at dinner for a walk in. $$ Rum Fish y Vino- very good mojitos, California meets Spain meets Belize. Great food cool atmosphere.$$ Omar’s- The best place for a rustic setting with fresh seafood Belize/Creole style. Extremely inexpensive for the value of the food. $ Tutti Frutti- gelato, original yummy…need I say more? $ Turtle Inn- Awesome setting, beach grill is so romantic for a candlelight grilled seafood dinner on the beach. We also had pizza from the Italian restaurant and it was excellent. Great list wine of course from his California vineyard. This is Francis Ford Coppola’s place on the beach there so the prices are more what you would pay in a typical tourist eco place in the U.S. or Europe but worth it $$$. AVADON Divers- Anne- Marie and the crew is great, professional, check them out on Trip Advisor for diving and snorkeling excursions. Above Ground- this guy is giving Starbucks a run for their money! Awesome coffee in a tree house in the village, although still Starbucks prices so be ready however they are the only game in town and trust me it is worth every penny!!! Groceries/beer- Ming’s, you will find that this is the best option for finding what you need. However I recommend only purchasing commercially packaged items as there may be some critters in your rice… Fishing: We went deep see fishing on the “As You Wish” boat at Robert’s Grove. Ask for Wayne he is great, we caught lots of fish including 6 big eye tunas.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The real deal. Great beachfront, lovely home, very comfortable for such an undeveloped tourist area. Owner/managers are great to work with. Our family of five (older kids) had the best vacation ever.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My Husband and I stayed here for our 15 year anniversary. It was the perfect trip. We came here for the diving and went on 7 dives with Avadon divers. Anne Marie, Jerome and Giovanni will make sure you have a great experience. The beach is just off the deck and you fall asleep to the rhythm of the waves. We lounged for hours near the pool or on the beach and never saw a soul. A nice ocean breeze kept the mosquitos at bay and it felt cooler than inland areas. The few residents of the area we did meet (out for an evening stroll on the beach with their pampered pets) were friendly and ready to offer up info on the best places to eat out. Although, the kitchen in the house had everything we needed to make our own gourmet concoctions from fresh caught snapper and local fruits and veggies available in nearby Placencia village. My only wish would be that if we stay here again that there would be a grill available for cooking up all the fresh seafood we ate almost every night. Aaron was very attentive and made us feel right at home and well taken care of. He made a kayak available to us that we used a couple of times and were able to row out to another island about a mile off the shore. He also was a great resource for local attractions, culture and history. We rented a car for our stay and were glad we did as renting a taxi or biking into town would have been cumbersome after awhile. We felt this area was safe and groundskeepers groomed the beach and others patrolled the area at night. One night a strong wind blew one of the lower level doors open while we were asleep (we had failed to latch it) and one of them noticed and closed it for us. The master bedroom is so open and spacious. The colors, textures and flow of the floor plan which was well lit with natural light from every direction created a calm, inviting atmosphere. The master bath has an awesome shower with two shower heads and shutters that open to the outdoors- would have made a great backdrop for an Herbal Essence shampoo commercial :) The sunrise and a cup of fresh brewed coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean and the pool - can it get any better? I submit it cannot. You wont be disappointed if you choose to stay here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

After spending 9 days in several different cities in Belize, we had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Cocoplum Beach Front Villa for our last three days. The home was incredible and very comfortable. We felt like celebrities staying at such a great home on a beautiful beach. The owners assisted us in every aspect of our stay, and always made sure everything was perfect. When we return to paradise, we will definitely be staying at the CocoPlum again. I highly recommend the Cocoplum to anyone looking to spend time in the Placencia Peninsula. Five STARS!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
