It is a lovely boat and setting. The houseboat was nicely furnished and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would not recommend it for people who don't like climbing stairs, as shown in the photos there is a small spiral staircase in the kitchen but it added to the charm. Also, take note of the location as you are a bit away from Boston. While there may be shuttle service to the metro, the service did not operate on the weekend and involved calling a cab, which was very responsive so no big deal.

We were there for business. Less expensive than hotels. The place was outstanding! my co-worker wants to rent every month that we have to be in the area. We did not want to leave and go to work. Spectacular!!! We let everyone who travels about this place. Guaranteed it will become a very busy place.

My Wife and I spent 3 days on Miss Leah located in Marina Bay - just next door to downtown Boston. Miss Leah, a fanastic houseboat with two stories of expansive and plush living space (too many amenities to capture here) feels more like a "home" then a houseboat. We were comfortable, relaxed and other then the gentle sounds of seagulls there were no disturbing noise issues. Views were simply wonderful. Of note, Miss Leah is located in a very clean marina setting surrounded by nice restaurants and several upscale pub's. All of the furnishings within (and there were many) were well maintained, clean and comfortable. We would stay again in a heartbeat and plan to do just that! Bobby, the owner was gracious and checked in (more then once) to make certain our every need was met. I would rate this a 10 out of 10!!

My husband & I spent five wondrous days on Miss Leah at Boston's magnificent Marina Bay. To call Miss Leah a houseboat is a misnomer. It is two stories of plush paradise situated in one of the most beautiful marinas along the east coast. All of the furnishings are so new & well maintained. Sleeping in the luxurious bed each night was like sleeping on a cloud. Sitting out on the deck savoring the gentle sea breezes was heavenly. If one is trying to revitalize the soul, then a stay on Miss Leah is the answer. One has the sensation of being a million miles from everything, yet in reality you are only steps away from a plethora of restaurants & shops. For those seeking to venture further, there is free public transportation within easy walking distance that will take you to the "T". We did not need to use the A/C, we actually turned on the heat. Perhaps being there in September & being from Florida, we found the nights to be chilly, yet the days refreshing. Hopefully we can return next year for another stay. Meanwhile, I unequivocally recommend Miss Leah for those who enjoy the tranquility of a floating getaway in plain sight.

Exactly as described, it is a lovely home, ... sitting in the middle of the harbor. Conveniently placed to Boston (with a free parking for the car), it has nice views. Weather was pleasant when we were there, which was a plus The kids were amazed when they saw the house !

We just returned from 6 wonderful and relaxing days on the "Miss Leah". This vacation was so unique and just what needed, just chilling and taking in the marina sights. The location offers so many options but we were quite content sitting on the deck and enjoying the views. We experienced a beautiful sunset every evening! The home was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. Having the comforts and luxury of the home but the feel of living on a boat was a great experience. The gentle rocking and sea breezes truly added to the feeling of marina life. The owner was so thoughtful by contacting us to make sure everything was okay. The boardwalk offers many dining options and if you need to put your toes in the sand, the beach is just a 5 minute ride. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone who is looking for something different, peaceful and serene but close to all activities.

My wife and our 6 year old daughter visited the Miss Leah and had a very enjoyable and memorable stay. We're from the area and really wanted to try something different from the typical week in Cape Cod. The location was fantastic and the accommodations were even better. Like many people have stated, it has all of the comforts of home. Everything was clean and very well kept. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bathroom supplies were well stocked and there were plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable, extra sheets were easy to locate and the views from every angle are tremendous. It was a hot 95+ degrees on most days during our stay. Stylish AC units were added the morning we arrived as the owners received feedback that they may be in need. We used them and they worked great... icy cold throughout! We enjoyed the restaurants at the Marina and heading into Boston to take in some local attractions i.e. Aquarium, Faneuil Hall Marketplace etc. Another great feature of the Miss Leah is that you're able to dock a boat directly off of its dining area and access it through the sliding glass doors. We took advantage of it and had our 25' boat tied off all week. We enjoyed taking day trips to the local islands and even zipped down to Provincetown for the day one afternoon. The owners were very accommodating and truly genuine. It's their baby and they want everyone to enjoy her as much as they do. I highly recommend (and have) staying on the Miss Leah if you’re fortunate enough to get the opportunity!

We stayed in the Miss Leah for 2 weeks - what a wonderful place! Though the weather was hot and humid, we were completely comfortable when we entered our floating oasis. It was immaculately clean, with everything in like-new condition. As a chef, I can appreciate a well supplied kitchen, and the owners supplied all of the needed equipment. They went above and beyond, and supplied even paper towels, napkins, garbage bags, soaps, laundry supplies, as well as all linens. The owner and staff were completely accessible and helpful. A couple of small things came up and were adressed immediately. We brought two well-behaved dogs, and the owner was accommodating and gracious. They made friends with the other resident dogs on our dock, and all of the neighbors were kind and helpful. The walk from the parking lot to the house was aided by carts with large rubber wheels that were available to anyone at the marina. The view was well worth the walk!!! The large sliding glass doors and kitchen windows are across from the Boston skyline, and it is spectacular. The sunrises and sunsets over the water are terrific, and the lights at night sparkle on the water. We so enjoyed sharing the experience with friends and family in the area who came to visit. Everyone had the same reaction. While technically a houseboat, it is move like a luxury house that moves gently on the water. Everything is high end, and all of the appliances are full size. We got groceries via Peapod, delivered right to our door from the local Stop&Shop for less than the cost of gas to drive there. Dinners in the dining area and on the rooftop deck were our favorites. The circular staircase to the master bedroom was new to us, but worked well in saving space. While not suitable for people with walking difficulties, everyone else would LOVE it. Overall, we highly recommend this vacation spot as a unique and fun place near a wonderful and historic city! PS Foam pads have been added to the beds, and we found them comfortable.

We stayed for 5 nights at Miss Leah and overall enjoyed our time! We arrived in Boston when it was 97 degrees! Like another reviewer mentioned, the AC unit was unable to cool the boat down and it stayed 86-88 inside the boat all night even with the windows all open (no screens), so the first night was pretty miserable. Ron (the owner) tried his best to make us feel comfortable, but it was just the AC unit itself (a bigger one would be much better). The upstairs master was spacious, the bed was hard but not unbearable. There is no door to the master suite, so if you are looking for privacy, it's not going to happen as you can hear everything that is going on downstairs and vice versa. Carrying the luggage upstairs was a workout! So pack light =) The downstairs bedroom could do with an upgrade from a full to a queen, but otherwise quite comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, the washer and dryer are always a bonus to have in any rental, but a bit confusing! (instructions might be a good idea!). The internet was very spotty, and the best connection was actually outside the boat on the dock. There were 4 of us, so the last person to take a shower usually ended up with cold water both in the morning and at night, so we resorted to 5 minute showers! The boat itself is located on the outside of the dock slip at the end, so you do feel 'rolling" motions when boats leave the harbor and come back in. Nothing too major as I get motion sickness and I was fine and you do have to carry your luggage a good 100 feet along the dock from captain fishbone's to get the boat, again another workout - pack light! The free shuttle to the train station during the week was great, pick up is about every 15minutes outside the clock tower, however the weekend is another story. We walked to the bus stop one day, about 1.2 miles and decided to cab it after that ($8) - much better in the heat! We thought the food delivery to the boat was fantastic and we took advantage of ordering from captain fishbone's as well as the general store. Overall the owner and the booking process was great, and we did enjoy our time at Miss Leah, it was just unfortunate about the AC. Thank you =)

Owner response: Kirsten, Thank you for your stay and feedback. As we have mentioned due to exteme heat this summer we have added addtional A/C units on both levels. The walk to houseboat is part of the amazing views. Unfortunately, when in close on dock your view is not the panaramic ocean views it is today! Hope you took advantage of wheel carts to make traveling down alot easier? We do have full closet and plenty of bureas for storage in guest room (so packing light should not be a necessity, as upstairs has full closet as well?) We are glad you took advantage of delivery to boat- that is always a plus after long day of sight seeing! Look forward to your next stay in Boston...
