Gracious and spacious Katama 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home. Located less than one mile from South Beach and near the Farm Institute.
Our home sits on two acres of flat lawn, great for outdoor games and sports.
The open house plan is a plus for entertaining. The large fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar is any cook's dream. The washer and dryer are off the kitchen. Ten can comfortably sit in dining room that overlooks the fields toward South Beach. In the Great Room you have a 60' flat screen TV with surround sound, cable, HD, and Blue Ray DVD player,and a stereo system. The sofa pulls out to a queen bed. This room also overlooks the fields toward South Beach. There is a bedroom with a large closet and bath on the first floor. The Master bedroom is large and has a walk-in closet. Master bath has dual sinks and dual showerheads. A large patio in the rear of the house with a gas grill can accommodate 10 comfortably.
The outdoor shower is great after a day at the beach.

What a GREAT home to vacation in on Martha's Vineyard. Walking in the front door, the cleanliness and luxurious decor is the first impression one gets. The modern gourmet kitchen has every appliance one could ever imagine. The pantry was stocked with spices, oils and vinegars. It was great not to have to run to the supermarket for all the little incidentals. The owner left pancake mix (3 kinds) and REAL maple syrup, eggs, orange juice and milk for breakfast. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, grapes and a homemade old fashion pound cake made by Gwenn. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with upscale linens. The bathrooms were spacious decorated with bright towels and all the toiletries one would need for a weeks stay. The hammocks in the back yard were delightful after a day at the beach and a fantastic outdoor shower, coupled with a roaring fire in the fire pit. Bicycles, helmets and locks, beach towels,coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrella's x 2 are just a few of the surprise amenities we came across. Gwenn has thought of every possible amenity for a family to enjoy a luxurious and carefree vacation. We have already booked our vacation for next year at this wonderful paradise.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have just returned from a FANTASTIC week on Martha's Vineyard. It was chilly, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay at "Gracious Living by the Sea."The vast yard was great for the children to run and play. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with every imaginable kitchen item you could possibly ever want. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with Ralph Lauren bed linens. You sink into the beds and are cover by fluffy quilts. The towels and linens are of the best quality. There are an abundance of beach towels, coolers, chairs and beach blankets. The fire pit on the back patio was a welcome amenity, we did build a fire one night during our stay. We were traveling with two young children,( 1& 4), there was every type of baby equipment I needed, great not to have to bring all that with us! We had our pick of board games, books, and movies, even for the children. We never got board. The house was SPOTLESS!! The open floor plan was great I could talk to my husband in the living room while I was preparing dinner. We road bicycles one afternoon( they had a small enough one so our 4 year old could ride and a seat on the back of my husbands so the baby could come along) helmets included. We took the children to the farm everyday to see the animals, only a short walk, great for a 4 year old. The nights were very quiet and relaxing, one night it was cooler than the rest and we built a roaring fire in the wood stove, romantic and relaxing Gwenn was very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. Homemade treats by Gwenn were on the counter when we walked in. She even left small gifts (sand pail and shovel) for each one of the children with their names on them. We had a wonderful time and have already made arrangements to come back next year for two weeks. We would strongly recommend this beautiful rental to any of our friends or relatives.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I am a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, my husband is a Civil Engineer. We both lead very full professional lives, and welcome the quiet time we have on Martha's Vineyard. We have a little Brittany named Toffee who is the love of our lives, she is very sweet. We enjoy people and want to share our home and experiences of Martha's Vineyard with all our guests.
