We had a marvelous time at Casa Rebecca in Puerto Escondido. It sure is a gorgeous house with a perfect view. We also like Thomas and Becky's taste when it comes to the interior design of the house. My mum, when she saw the pictures on the Internet, was so excited, but I - having lived in Mexico myself - warned her that in Mexico usually you don't get what you see. However, I stand corrected! Casa Rebecca is just as lovely, well-decorated, and clean as portrayed in the pictures. Really wonderful! It was the first time for my family to visit Mexico and they really loved it. We are sure to come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Casa Rebecca is luxurious and comfortable. It affords a stunning view of the ocean, with both sunrise and sunset. We often saw whales from the yard. The palapa is perfect for a relaxing afternoon snooze or a barbeque party. It is located in a quiet area and the neighborhood seems safe. It is within walking distance of a swimming beach and a friendly commercial area. The unit is perfect for two couples.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

When we arrived at Casa Rebecca we were happy to find it exactly as we expected. The location overlooking the ocean is stunning and the home itself very comfortable. Everything was very clean and tidy and well maintained. The proximity of the nearby beaches made them easily walkable. The best thing about them is that they are beautiful small coves that are not crowded and have wonderful sandy beaches. People who have seen our photos of Casa Rebecca were very envious and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a luxurious and relaxing holiday.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our second visit to Casa Rebecca in as many years and can hardly wait to return again this November. The Condo's charm remains fabulous with a beautiful palapa for whale watching during the day and star gazing on wonderful warm evenings. BBQ's on the palapa was also another favourite. The owners had added a variety of plants throughout the complex, which enhanced the overall tropical feeling of the property. We discovered several new resturants this trip such as Los Tios, The Spot (open only at night) and a new one called Lotus all very good and on Zicatella beach. Our old favourites like Espadin, Split Cocunut, Luna Rosa and Pascale were again excellent. The many beaches had us coming back day after day for walking, swimming and just relaxing in the sun. Corizon, the house keeper and Alain the property manager were once again very helpful and efficient. The unit was again kept spotless and everything well maintained. At the end of the day we can hardly wait to return to our "Puerto Gem" again this year.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My wife and have stayed in Puerto Escondido each February for 21 years. Have always stayed in quiet, small inns that are available if you don't need to be right on the Zicatela beach strip. Casa Rebecca was a first for us - a fully-equiped condo in an area of town that offers spectacular cliff-top views of the ocean. Within three minutes of entering the condo we realized we had chosen an incredible place to stay. Luxurious, spacious, perfectly maintained, and that mind-blowing view of the Pacific. A perfect retreat after a day of sun and sand. I don't think we will ever consider another option for future visits to Puerto Escondido.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

The accomidations were simply wonderful. Large well lit 2nd floor unit, ocean front, with awesome views from large terraces out both bedrooms and living area. With 3rd floor "palapa" (a large terrace partially covered and private to 2nd floor condo) and a southern view we were able to see both sunrise and sunset as well as a place to just kick back during the hot parts of the day. We found many good restaurants just a few blocks away, (try the Paris for dinner and Coffecito for breakfast) We loved the small beach (can't remember the name but you will find all the info you need in a well put together "things to do" book in the condo), with traditional beach side restaurant about a 15 minute walk away and down 167 well built stone steps, as well as many other beaches only minutes away by taxi. Would definitely go there again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

You have created a truly special place here. Our family of 5 (3 kids, 5, 7, 9) were here for two wonderful weeks - our second trip to Puerto. - Kids and parents took Spanish and surfing lessons at Oasis on Riconada. Instructions for surfing felt very safe for our 5 year old. - Great day trip to Masunte with Jose Cortes -Dolphin watching / fishing - many days at our favorite beach Carrizallio (including lots of ice cream at the beach) Sadly we won't be back for a few years but have made some wonderful memories to last until then. Diner at Espaldin to watch the sunset on our last night was a real treat.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: We are Thomas and Rebecca and live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We always had a dream to one day escape the dreary wet winters of west coast Canada and find a little spot in paradise to vacation and retire. The long search for an oceanfront condo started 3 years ago, with many hours spent scouting locations all over the world via the Internet. We then visited some of the most idyllic spots, but never really found what we were looking for, until one weekend, in May 2009, Thomas discovered a small seaside town in southern Mexico called Puerto Escondido and instantly fell in love with the place. He went there to see an oceanfront condo, but it was not meeting all our expectations. When he was shown a property on a 100 ft high waterfront bluff with an amazing panoramic view of the ocean, there was no stopping us, our adventure in Puerto Escondido began....
Why the Owner Chose Puerto Escondido:
It is an oceanfront property with a spectacular 180 degree view. Our condo is within short walking distance to the beach with golden sand and clear emerald warm water. Shopping is just a short walk away too.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The property comes with a private 1400sqft roof top terrace and 300 sqft palapa for your exclusive use, where you can relax in shade and cool ocean breezes.
