  This property is located close enough to town to be convenient and far enough away to be quiet and private. The properties on both sides of it are privately owned which provides relaxing evenings with a great view on the back deck overlooking the peaceful lagoon. The boat dock and decks provide plenty of room to relax and enjoy the sun as well as beautiful sunsets. The owners did a great job of preparing the property and being very attentive and available to anything needs during the stay. This is a great place to vacation with your family especially with little ones as the lagoon provides a safe and calmer atmosphere on windy days from the Gulf. If you want a great place to relax with a view and privacy for an affordable price, this is it.

  Our family stayed at the Shrimp on the Barbie for our spring break vacation and it was perfect. Its location offered us the best of both worlds, close enough to town for shopping and dining but far enough away from the noise and traffic conjestion. There was plenty of room for three families to spread out and not feel cramped. The washer and dryer is a definate plus. The house was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Barb and Mark were very friendly and helpful. The lagoon beach was perfect for our young grandchildren. They enjoyed swimming, playing in the sand and fishing from the dock. I especially enjoyed the quiet walks on the endless ocean beach and the views of both the sunrises over the ocean and the sunsets over the lagoon from the front and back decks. We would definately consider renting the beach house again.

  My family and I had a fantastic time. The house was great and large enough for everyone to have a bedroom. The best part was the deck on the front of the house and the deck on the back of the house. Depending on the direction of the winds we could move to either side of the house and enjoy the sun. My kids had a blast playing in the Lagoon when the beach was too ruff to swim in. We will definitely come back when the weather is a little warmer. Loved the house!!

  What a good time we had at the beach house between christmas and new year. The house was clean and brightly decorated. We enjoyed the private beach out back on the lagoon. In a little warmer weather the kids can play in shallow water out 20 to 25 feet from the beach, fun and safe! The gulf is in the front of the house just across the road. The beach is very quiet and private and your only a few miles from the heart of town. This is a very nice house for a couple of families to share. This was our second stay at the house. Thanks Barb and Mark, what a great beach house.

  We've had a great time the multiple times we've been to the Shrimp on the Barbie beach house. It's decorated so beautifully and very clean and modern. I love the lagoon out back for the small children so I don't have worry about them in the waves. We can't wait to come back this July!

  My family had a wonderful time at this house! It was the perfect set up for our group-grandma, grandpa, and our family of 4. Our 2 boys are 6 and 3 1/2. The lagoon right off the back of the house was PERFECT for our boys. The ocean was a little intimidating, so when they got tired there, the lagoon was where we went. The location is perfect-down the road from the condos and other property rentals, so the beach was very private. The owners were great and the house is beautiful! I would love to stay here again.

  Shrimp on the Barbie was the perfect beach rental. Great location with in Gulf Shores with the lagoon right in your backyard and the amazing Gulf of Mexico directly across the street. Private, but still close to great restaurants and shopping. Will absolutely be back again! Thanks Barbara and Mark for making such a great property available!

  Had a great time at this beach house, very clean and well decorated. The location is perfect, right on the lagoon with a private beach and the the Gulf right out the front window. The beach house had everything we needed and would definitely stay here again.
