Such a lovely time of year! Days are still a little hot and humid, but you can definitely feel the heat fading away. The water is alive with wonderful seafood and wildlife. Wake up to beautiful mornings and a nice breeze from the beautiful waters of the ICW. Evenings are very pleasant sitting out on the dock. Coosaw Island has a wonderful little cottage great for family or couples of all ages. Live oaks abound on this half-acre sitting on deep water next to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Ace Basin.
Bring your fishing pole and fish off the dock where Ace Basin Tours is located. Coosaw Marina is at your front door, so let us know if you would like to bring your boat. The dock was featured as the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in the movie Forrest Gump and other scenes from the movie were filmed at nearby sites.
If you would like to crab or cast a shrimp net, we will supply what you need. Enjoy the lovely view as you sit on your front porch and watch boats go down the Intracoastal Waterway from Charleston and Beaufort. The view is absolutely gorgeous! Watch the seagulls, osprey and dolphin feeding and playing in your front yard.
Go into town for a wonderful tour of the historical city, stroll along our beautiful new waterfront park and Bay Street window-shopping, or take a Buggy Tour, and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner downtown. Visit nearby islands and take a walk on the beach, including Fripp, Hunting, and Hilton Head (also historic Savannah, Georgia). Always something to do and somewhere to go!
Minutes away from downtown Beaufort, Parris Island and the Marine Corps Air Station. Great place to stay if you have a graduate from PI. We are extremely honored to accommodate the graduates and their families. We have met so many wonderful people.
