  Seven of us recently spent a week in this comfortable house tucked away in a quiet setting. We loved the water views from the living room, the well equipped kitchen, having three full bathrooms, the bright sunlit rooms, cozy seating in the living room, swinging our granddaughter in the hammock, meeting Tibby, the owner's dog, walking along the beach out front, walking the nearby walking trails, biking the rail trail, the baseball games in town, Skaket beach, whale watching from Provincetown, Zia's Pizza and Sundae School ice cream. This house has a nice layout, is very clean, and is tastefully decorated. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet retreat, or a small family gathering, girl's getaway, etc.

  We have been traveling from Upstate New York with another couple to the Outer Banks of NC for the last 5 years. We decided it was time to try something different. We honestly did not know what to expect, other than what the photos showed on this website... We were not disappointed! We had an excellent week at your home! It was a true pleasure staying in this completely up-to-date home with a beautiful view of the bay. The screen porch is fantastic! The home is layed out beautifully! Air conditioning is great! Kitchen is modern and new! Beds are comfortable. Proximity to town, Chatam, Hyannis, and the beach is just right. Only 20 minutes to Provincetown. Nature trails were great! No worries of traffic when walking our little dog. I really got a kick out of getting up early to watch the sunrise and the horseshoe crab fishermen loading up barrels of them at the boat launch, only to take them to the lab, extract their blue blood, then return them to the bay. They gave me a mini-course on the origin of Horseshoe crab blood and benefits to science in drug testing. You will see horseshoe crabs when you walk on the beach from the nature trail. The town of Orleans is quaint and full of activity. We hopped on the bike trail and rode to Nickerson State Park. When we realized what a great park it was, we later brought our dog to swim there with the other dogs. I would highly recommend this rental property to anyone!

  I stayed in this house for three years under the present owner and have stayed on the property with my family for 26 years. The location is wonderful and the present house (renovated in the last three years) is a lovely vacation spot. Favorite things are the screened in porch for early morning cups of coffee watching the sun rise over the outer beach and the view out over the water from the second floor bedroom. Great access for kayaking / sailing (town landing very close) and walking distance to conservation land for daily walks. Layout of house works well for groups of friends as well as single family. Two separate sleeping areas in the first and second floor ensure that you do not feel on top of one another. The property was very clean and everything in working order. I would be back again this summer except for the fact that I purchased a house in the vicinity!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.
