  A very clean and well-equipped and nicely decorated beach property. Conveniently located to the beach and some real neat little shops as well as the grocery stores and restaurants.

  Thanks Mia for a wonderful opportunity to stay in your home. We found everything to be a perfect fit for us. The neighbors on each side of the home were very friendly and helpful. This home is central to everything with no long rides. A must do while visiting OBX is to take in the drama; The Lost Colony!! Go to the largest natural sand dune and then let the ocean throw you around a bit to get all the sand off or either redistributed. The outdoors shower was great because between sand and ocean gifts in your suits...just made for easier clean up. LOL. The pink porch was great because it was never hot on your feet amazing:) I could go on and on....The kitchen was totally complete. We hope to visit again one day.

  The Wright Place was the site of our family beach vacation this year. Like many of you, I research and research to find the best amenities at the best price closest to the beach. This place fit the bill. It was big enough that we weren't on top of each other during our stay. The fantastic game room was a huge hit with the kids (ages 8-12). Not once on this vacation did we hear "I'm bored." The kitchen had literally everything we needed (even a coffee grinder for when my husband accidentally bought whole-bean coffee). Wireless internet worked great for us workaholics. The walk to thelifeguarded beach is quick and easy- just took a few minutes. Yep, we saw dolphins several times and enjoyed the waves. What made the rental truly fantastic was the exceptional customer service of the owner. The air conditioning unit for the second floor had frozen up when we arrived, and she bent over backwards to get it fixed, checking in to make sure we had what we needed and answering my questions. I would absolutely rent The Wright Place again and recommend it for family fun. Fun things we did included flashlight searches for ghost crabs on the beach at night (kids LOVED it), Jockey's Ridge, Sweet Frog's frozen yogurt, eating out, cooking and eating as a family (imagine that!), watching fireworks from the widow's watch, etc. By the way, the view is great- the Wright Bros. Memorial on one side, and the ocean on the other. Thanks for a great and memorable stay!

  Family, friends and I spent a week at "The Wright Place" and had the most awesome time. It is one of those places you visit and know its a place you would want to return to again and again. The house was very roomy, clean and comfortable. The deck and Widow's Watch were places all of us, young and old, enjoyed throughout our stay (especially the porch swing and the breeze off the ocean felt sitting in the Widow's Watch!). The beach was an easy walk from the house and having the outdoor shower was nice upon returning from the ocean and sand. The kids enjoyed the game room and Cornhole. Loved the well equipped kitchen and having room for all nine of us to sit around the table and eat together. The house was super easy to find and well located as to things we desired to do away from the beach. For us it was a great place to stay and enjoy our time away. Thanks for the opportunity to rent this great place.

  My family has had the pleasure of staying at The Wright Place twice. We found it to be the perfect home away from home. It is so convenient to everything, especially the beach. The first time we stayed was so enjoyable. The amenities were exactly what we needed. The beds were so comfortable. We got even more than we expected. We left rested, refreshed and ready to face the "real world." The second time was even better. Some changes had been made and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She is a sweet, caring woman who has the comfort of her renters uppermost in her mind. The place was clean, comfortable, cozy and convenient. I see more changes and additions have been made since we were there last. I look forward to returning and sitting on the cupola and enjoying the fantastic view, I give The Wright Place TWO THUMBS UP!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a place that makes you happy to be there and reluctant to leave. Family, group of friends, or couples will find what they need and plenty of space to spread out.

  My family and I stayed at Madeline's wonderful beach home, "The Wright Place" our first time visiting the Outer Banks. The place was great. Very spacious and had everything you would need. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. We couldn't say enough about staying at her home. She even called after our arrival to ensure that we were happy with everything. We never needed anything with regards to the kitchen, as it was so nicely equipped with all the needed applicances and utensils. We had 8 stay and we were all very comfortable during our stay. The house is just a short, two block walk, to the beach. Not so far that we just didn't walk back to the house for lunch every day, leaving our things on the beach to come back to. We made and had many happy times at that house, kicking back and enjoying the whale watch, too! That allowed us to enjoy the expansive views up there virtually every night. We, one day, will return to stay at Madeline's again. For now though, we have to find bigger accommodations, as our group has expanded to 13.

  Perfect walking distance to the beach. The house was definitely a home away from home with all the "normal" daily home requirements available. Fully stocked kitchen - plenty of dishes, pots, pans & utensils. Take a book, leave a book - the house is full of reading material! Games, movies galore to entertain on those rainy days or time needed away from the sun. We no longer have small children, but noticed highchair, etc. hidden in the closets. Shaded porch, very nice for evening relaxation with your beverage of choice. Have stayed in this house on several occasions - have enjoyed every stay!!

  Just got back from one of many stays at the Wright Place. The house gets better and better every year! The deck is amazing and there is so much to do at the house and nearby. Very clean and a place to really relax. Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay while enjoying the beach life.

  What a wonderful place to stay. Clean, well equiped and very comfortable. Something for everyone from young to old. The owner had thought of everything.The only thing lacking was a couple more weeks to stay. Loved it.
