This great ocean-front villa is located in the exclusive Shark Bay , in the beautiful car-free Punta Estrada neighborhood of Puerto Ayora .
Built by Dr. Furio Valbonesi , creator of the 5 stars Hotel Royal Palm , this villa has a living/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, two ocean front bedrooms , two bedrooms in the Garden Depandance, infinity swimming pool, whirlpool , sauna , bar, B-B-Q , Italian brick oven , a small gym , ocean front sundeck with sea side seating , and a private dock .This is the perfect place to enjoy Galapagos in a simple , sophisticate way.

VILLA DESCRIPTION :4 Bedrooms ; Sleeps 10
This Rental Villa has the main building with 3 floors , a 1000 square foot Roof terrace overlooking the bay , nearby Islands and Puerto Ayora and a Garden Depandance with 2 units.
Total house’s area is 5000 square feet; property area: 7000 square feet.On the main floor is the sitting area , the dining room and a fully equipped open kitchen .
On the first floor there is a lobby with two Castle Beds and two bedrooms , one on each side of the lobby, both with queen beds air conditioning and private bathrooms . Lobby and bedrooms access a long balcony with view of the bay.
On the second floor there is the owner private bedroom with studio library. This room is not available for rent .
The Garden Dependance has 2 air conditioned bedrooms each with 2 double beds and private bathrooms. Each bedroom has also its private access from paths leading to the Villa. These units can be rented separately at a convenient cost but will not have access to villa's facilities.Nonetheless,under certain circumstances owner can allow the access and use of villa's facilities as the swimming pool,the whirlpool,sauna and villa's ground floor and kitchen.
AMENITIES AREAS
One can swim and snorkel from the private dock in the sea , take the kayak and explore the bay or sail with the hobbycat or the windsurf around the bay or swim in the infinity pool or if you wish relax in the sauna or whirlpool. A small gym is also available to keep you fit.

Housekeeping service in the morning .Chef and any other special request can be provided at an extra cost . We can also help you to organize Island Excursions , horse riding , bay tours , daily tours.

Salt lagoon behind the villa ;Las Grietas (Water Canyons ) and the German Beach are a 10 minutes walk from villa.:
Bay Tours available on a tourist boat at small cost .
EXCURSIONS in and from Puerto Ayora : Charles Darwin
Research Station , National Park Facilities , Tortuga bay , a two miles long white sand beach which is a two and half mile walk from the village of Puerto Ayora. You can also take a car to Santa Cruz Highlands ,visiting galapagos tortoises in the wild , lava tunnels , or do birds-watching : or you can drive to the Garrapatero Beach near Bellavista village.
Excursions to the inhabited Islands of Floreana , Isabela and San Cristobal can also be arranged.

Words would fail to do justice to the experience we had at Furio's villa.. But in the spirit of "reviewing" to acknowledge this amazing man and his lovely home, here are the best words I have. Furios villa is perfect. My family (husband, 2 kids aged 3 and 2) and I stayed in this lovely home for 5 days. During our time there,Furio went above and beyond the terms of our contract to make us welcome, comfortable and our trip memorable. Not only did we get to sample his good home cooking, but we also got the "inside track" on how to truly experience the Galapagos from a man who Is truly passionate about his adopted home. The lady who cleaned the house daily did a great job and all of the recommendations Furio gave to us including the tours he arranged for us were exactly tailored to deliver for our family's needs ( remember 2 kids under 3). Returning "home" after a day spent exploring Santa fe island to an intimate and refreshing dip in the pool with my family is one of those prized moments forever etched in my memory. "Uncle Furio" as my kids began to call him quickly became a favorite to my boys and even gave us parents, a night off to go out on the town as he babysat them. The location of the house tucked away but yet really easily accessible to the main part of town by water taxi, was perfect. Water pressure was great in the shower, Furios coffee every morning, a very nice and unexpected touch. I would go back in a heartbeat. I likely left a little piece of my heart there.. Truly, this home made all the difference and turned a lifelong dream to see the Galapagos into a truly exquisite and memorable experience. Furio, our home here is Toronto will always have a place for you. Estuvimos 9 dias en esta fantastica casa de Furio, un excelente anfitrion. Disfrutamos todas las comodidades de la casa que funciona perfectamente para familias con muchos integrantes. Eramos dos familias con 5 hijos adolescentes entre 18 y 22 anios. Aparte de todas las actividades que propone la gran fauna de las islas, estando en la casa tambien se puede disfrutar de la vida acuatica de la bahia donde esta situada esta casa. Las tortugas y los lobos marinos estan en el muelle y es como tenerlos en casa. Furio nos llevo al mercado donde se puede comer y comprar las comidas tipicas de la isla. El traslado desde la casa es por medio de pequenias lanchas a motor y la distancia a Puerto Ayora es muy corta. En fin, recomiendo Galapagos y en especial la Villa de Furio, estrategicamente ubicada. Esperamos volver pronto y poder repetir la increible experiencia de buceo con tiburones, tortugas, rayas ,etc,etc. Tambien vive en la casa un perro (Tornado), es una de las joyas de la casa, imposible no encarinarse con este amigable y lindo animal.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The Galapagos Gods were with me when I first saw this unique Villa advertised, and happily stayed until a reluctant departure; after an all too short two week stay. No description can ever do it or Furio, the extraordinary, multi-talented, generous and charming owner, full justice. I can fully endorse all the positive reviews already listed but must add how magical an experience our group of four 'seen it all' Europeans had. Beauty, culture and good humour abound within the exceptional qualities and uniqueness of both this property and its owner. The combination made for unforgettable memories and a vow to return as soon as possible. Our stay at Furio’s Ocean Villa was magical! We went down with a large group of friends to celebrate our wedding ceremony and honeymoon. Furio not only played wedding planner, but also chef, event coordinator, tour guide, and especially, family. When we first arrived to the Villa, I must say that the pictures do not do it justice. It’s located in Shark Bay, which is quiet and tranquil, and really felt like a private getaway all for us. The house itself is immaculate and ornate, and it felt like a little bit of Italy in the middle of the Galapagos. As a host, he is very gracious, and made sure that we felt at home. It really felt like staying with family—and I am happy to say that Furio is definitely part of our family now. With respect to the wedding, Furio was on a mission! A mission to make sure that we had all the bases covered before the ceremony. He introduced us to the Mayor (who was the one performing the ceremony), went shopping with us for the wedding dinner—and he knows all the best places to get the leanest cuts of meat, and the freshest produce! He even had his housekeeper, Naira, go flower picking for our bouquets and decorations. Once wedding time had arrived, Furio was busy at making sure everything went perfectly! He was very much like the caring father who really wanted to make sure that everything went just the way we wanted it. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony, where I was able to get some great shots of Furio and I tearing up the dance floor on the patio. It was magical and so much fun!!! As for the rest of the trip, Furio was amazing! It was like staying with a local celebrity. Everyone seemed to know him, and he always knew where to get the best deals, or where the best food and shopping were! He made sure that all of our trips and excursions were taken care of ahead of time, but was sure to get us to the right location to meet up with our guides. The trips that he booked were great! If I may recommend one thing—be sure to book everything in advance. The boats will ne nicer, and food will be better. Furio is great about booking trips ahead of time, but also about finding last minute deals. However, the trips you book in advance are much nicer, and worth the extra money. At the end of it all, it was one of the best trips we’ve ever had. I couldn’t have asked for a better host, and I wish I had an entire novel to tell you just how wonderful the Ocean Villa, and Furio truly are. Is a beautifull house in a amazing surrounding. The view from the windows of your room is splendid, is placed in front of a small bay in which you can see the sea wolves and the boobies. The rooms are big and bright with a big toilet, everything is clean and Furio is a smart and very kind guy, and take care of everythig you can need. Qualifies as one of our best trips ever, driven by a Host who absolutely ensured every need was promptly attended to; wedding planning, home cooking, travel and excursion assistance for a multitude of adventures, and a beautiful Villa that exceeded expectations and yet, retained that comfortable, "We Were Home" feeling. A full "Ten Butt" gourmet kitchen where we could grab food out in town and cook a good local meal ourselves and relax to the beautiful ocean view. The Host showed us the best eateries in town and rapidly became a part of the family with his generosity and assistance. The Villa accommodations were immaculate. Spacious rooms, ocean views from balconies, large bathrooms and plenty of storage for the longer trips. Yet that feeling of comfort and home was always there which made the trip more enjoyable after a long day of hiking, fishing, snorkeling or just having fun in town. All catered to by the Host if requested to ensure the trip and experience was maximized. Our whole group was absolutely spoiled rotten by the accommodations and Host and we loved it! The Value for the money paid was well exceeded. This was truly one of our most favorite trips and it was not just because Galapagos is so amazing, but also because of the fabulous vacation rental. We take and international trip every summer with our 4 young children and this by far was the best! The home is perfect for families. We were close to everything, but also had a nice quiet private home to retreat to at the end of our day of exploring. Tours were arranged by host and each one was incredible and very well organized. There is so much to see and the home was in a perfect location to set out on daily adventures. The home had a beautiful view with so much wildlife to see from the beautiful sand patio and infinity pool. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the kitchen was beautiful and well equiped. Our journey to the Galapagos began with a spectacular 5 day cruise but from the moment of our arrival at Furios spacious, stunningly beautiful Italian villa, we knew our trip would just keep getting better. Furio was a wonderful host who made us feel at home. When we arrived in Baltra, he had arranged for the transfer to Puerto Ayora and then his Villa (conveniently) just minutes away from the Port. He accompanied us to the market and helped us select local food, fruit, and fish. Whether by foot, on the short 15 minute path to his villa, or by water taxi to his dock, the views were spectacular all around the Villa. The short path leads to Playa de las Alemanes it was easy to visit daily. We also enjoyed the true "infinity pool" overlooking the sea lions, marine iguanas, and from where we watched dozens of Blue Footed Boobies dive for fish alongside Pelicans and other beautiful birds. The kids (14, 12, 9), my in-laws (68, 75) , husband, and I were all smiles at and around Furio's villa. The location was perfect it was near the town where we could pick up wine for dinner, but offered privacy from the many tourists and was a 1 minute walk to the begging of Las Griegas which is a major tourist attraction its a volcanic formed crevice with crystal clear (brackish water) that provided for swimming and snorkeling. Our short 20-30 minute trips around Furio's bay were always filled with endless sightings of sea turtles, sea lions, white tip reef sharks, spotted eagle rays, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas, Darwin's finches, mockingbirds, tigeretas, lava gulls, pelicans, and more. We took several day and half day trips, primarily arranged with assistance and advice from Furio, to Tortuga Bay, Darwin's Center, the Lava Caverns, Las Grietas, La Playa de los Alemanes and the wet lands which were all a short distance from his house where we saw Giant land tortoises, etc. The best part of the trip, and the primary reason we will return is Furio -- he is a sweetheart fo a man, multilingual, and an fabulous Italian chef. In the 30 years he has called the Galapagos "home", it is clear that he has become extraordinarily knowledgeable about the islands and their people; it only takes a minute walk down the street with Furio to realize he is a "local celebrity" who has brough a beautiful piece of Italy to the Galapagos. And, he and that beautiful villa are the primary reasons we will be returning to Furio's on our next journey to the Galapagos.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
