Thank you! We loved our stay in the cottage! It really made our trip special! We are already talking about making this our regular lodging every time we come back. The place is beautiful, the grounds are so well cared for and the roses ut front are crazy!! There was not anything missing for which we could have asked. The entire week was wonderful! Thanks for an outstanding week. C.J. & SusanDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My two sisters and I just spent three wonderful nights at the Hayloft! Everything was absolutely perfect, from the well equipped kitchen and living space downstairs to the loft bedroom. It's totally updated with all the conveniences we could want and loaded with Maine charm. The homemade blueberry muffins and bottle of wine was a nice surprise too. We spent time each day in Portland (only a 1/2 hr. away), walked the Eastern Promenade and the West end neighborhoods; had dinner at Fore Street and lunch at Duckfat (both where great!). During the heat of the day, we went to Popham Beach, and picked up all the fixin's for a home cooked lobster feast...This cottage has it all! Thank you so much for everything. We'll cherish our memories always! Althea, Rene'e & JudiDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our family had such an amazing time here in Maine! And staying at the Hay Loft Cottage made it that much more special. The cottage had the "Home Sweet Home" feel our family found endearing! From the fresh made blueberry muffins displayed on the counter to the soft music playing in the background as we entered the cottage. The landscape & craftmanship of the cottage was immaculate. We just loved everything about this cozy cottage. Thank you!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Was a very comfortable stay for us. We had 4 adults and a baby. The baby gate and booster seat worked well for the baby. There are many things included and we didn't want for anything. Our only regret is that we could not stay and relax any longer! You must see this in person, you will be very glad you did.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at the Hay Loft Cottage recently & I can't rave about it enough! We give it 5 stars. The location is very good. You can walk to the historic mill & restaurants as well as the neighboring town of Brunswick. Very cute! The property is just gorgeous. You get your own private entrance to your own private courtyard dripping with morning & mid day sun. The area is landscaped so beautifully with gardens, rock pathways, trees and so on. In the courtyard you'll find a grill, little table & chairs, lounge chairs and nice stone patio table with bench seats & umbrella. Such a great place to unwind. Right next door there was an indoor winter farmer's market every Saturday so I went over each time to buy fresh goodies to cook for dinner. The inside of the cottage was bigger than I expected. The cottage had such a luxurious feel & there's plenty of sunlight. I adore the kitchen & the loft upstairs. The Beds are EXTREMELY comfortable. The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was a nice plus too! There's a T.V. upstairs and downstairs, full cable, very clean, comfortable & the cottage is fully stocked! The photos do not even do it justice. I found myself wanting to spend more time there than not! On one of the warmer days after a nice dinner at Sea Dogs restaurant down the street, we saw tons people lined up at Dairy Queen on our way back & "L.B.J Ate Here" in large painted letters on the roof, so we figured it must be good! & took a stroll down. Apparently they had just opened for the season & L.B.J stood for Linden B Johnson. We had a nice time exploring the immediate area. There is a strip mall up the street with Best Buy, Target, supermarket, etc. Plenty of restaurants close by. We spent time walking around Brunswick and checking out all the different shops and galleries. There were so many places to eat, but we decided to try Indian at Bombay Mahal. It was delicious. We also checked out the historic walking bridge and the museums of art at Bowdoin College. All in all we had a great stay and will be coming back next summer. We hope to be able to stay at the cottage & can't wait to enjoy the summer in Midcoast Maine.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
