We checked in the 2/3 bedroom suites over Xmas and New Years and OMG the website does this place no justice when they say on the Colorado River they mean it.The suites have their own private parking and private elavator going up.Double pillow top mattress,HD 50"Sony TV's in in leaving room 42" HD TV's in bedrooms.Granite gourmet kitchens fully stocked I can go on and on about this place but you must see this place to believe it.Walk out of your suites onto your own private balcony overlooking the Colorado river. The staff is amazing and over accomodating and just to let you know could be the best towels I have ever used when traveling.Sheets and Pillow cases and Towles all had the fresh smell of Frebez.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
About the owner: It was 1988 when I ventured to Glenwood Springs Colorado for a ten day family vacation at Rock Gardens Campground. I went rafting, fishing, hiking, soaked in the Glenwood Hot Springs pool, went to Aspen then Vail and enjoyed everything that this business and community was all about. I fell in love with the location of Rock Gardens Campground, The Roaring Fork Valley and the Rocky Mountains, but all good things come to an end and it was time to head back to California. By the time I reached Grand Junction I started talking about giving up my good paying corporate job, and entertained the possibility of buying Rock Gardens Campground and moving to No Name Colorado. By the time I hit Las Vegas the decision was made and when I reached home in Orange County California I called the campground owners and told them of my plans. Only to hear “you have been out in the sun too long, get some rest, take two aspirin and it will go away”. The following week I informed my boss of my plans and the reaction was “you have been out in the sun too long, get some rest, take two aspirin and it will go away.” Well on March 15, 1990 I became the owner of Rock Gardens Campground & MHP and Rock Gardens Rafting, Inc. Most people would say why pay that kind of money for a campground and mobile home park, but I saw the future. I had purchased a piece of property that is located in one of the most beautiful canyons in the state of Colorado, with the Colorado River flowing through it, located in a town known for its history and visitor attractions, next to Interstate 70 and the award winning Glenwood Canyon Recreation Trail, situated between Vail and Aspen Colorado (two world class resort destinations), but most of all this was a place to chase dreams and build a very special place. My vision was to take this small campground and mobile home park and turn it into a First Class Resort that would include Resort and Camper Cabins, RV sites, river side camp sites and Luxury Suites.
