About the owner: We live on the Outer Banks & love it. We built this home with the intent of one day living in it as our primary residence, and so much thought was put into the different Living Areas ... we hope that you will enjoy the Family Fun Home & make this your home away from home here on the Outer Banks.
Why the Owner Chose Southern Shores:
The Family Fun cottage is located in desirable Southern Shores ... where you are close to everything. Just 5 minutes to downtown Duck with the Soundfront boardwalk to shops, Duck Methodist Church, a short trip to the Corolla Shops, Lighthouse & 4 Wheel Drive Beaches ... or, just south of Southern Shores is Kitty Hawk and the Wright Memorial Bridge which you cross as you hit the beach ... so, not tons of driving once you arrive! Just further south are the Outlet Shops in Nags Head, Bodie Island Lighthouse, and the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center for Off Shore or In Shore Fishing Charters. Beach Accesses throughout Southern Shores with the main Beach access at the end of this same street - Hillcrest Drive. There are spaces for 50-100 cars and so plenty of room to take all that you like to carry to the beach in less than 5 minutes. Lifeguard in summer, porta johns, dune deck, bike rack, gazebo, outside shower to wash off as you leave the beach, and plenty of space on the beach even in peak summer to find a private quiet space to relax & enjoy the sound of the Ocean & the smell of the salt air - it never ceases to rejuvenate.
The Family Fun Cottage itself was designed specifically for families and for space ... 2 car garage, huge 20 x 40 pool with spacious private pool deck for catching rays, 2 ganme rooms (one upstairs with futon, foosball & electronics), and one on ground level which opens out to the Pool. Ground level game room features 2 futons & electronics. Mid Level features main living area with hardwood floors & separate Home Office with wireless internet and print/fax/scan machine.
