My four storied, 3 bedroom / 2.5 bath casa in Infonavit Allende (across from Fabrica La Aurora) is available. Totally renovated for comfort and gracious, easy living. Main sala focus fireplace, ceiling fans, tons of natural light and breezes flowing throughout. A perfect environment for the creative soul.
An open-plan living-dining-kitchen is on the first floor looking onto your private garden. A large master suite with dinning/den area, marble bath with huge tub, fireplace, and private patio is on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor has a 2nd master suite with a full marble bath, fireplace, rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen and covered seating. Views of town and more. Up the spiral staircase to the solar and stargazing terrace with a 360 degree view of San Miguel de Allende.
Less than 3 minute drive to Nick Faldo designed golf course. 5 minute safe walk to Spanish schools, art schools, outdoor organic fruit/vegetable market, bakery, tortilla factory, restaurants, small shops with everything you could want.
House has a purified (and pressurized) water treatment system - so no worries about the water.
Infonavit Allende is a tranquil, small, SAFE, middle class Mexican neighborhood with almost no gringos. The benefit of living in this neighborhood is being part of traditional Mexican culture while still having all the upscale culture of San Miguel de Allende, only a 20 minute flat walk away.
Across the street from my casa is a neighborhood plaza and cultural center where various classes are offered including Zumba, yoga and exercise.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 1/2 months starting Nov. 2012. We had a wonderful time. We found the house much larger and more beautiful than the pictures. Carol, the owner, is an artist and her house is filled with lovely paintings and works of art. The kitchen is really well-equiped with everything we needed. It's an easy and very pleasant 20 min. walk to the Jardin. But we were very charmed by our own neigbourhood. The Fabrica La Aurora with its lovely galleries and cafe is close as is Via Organica, a very popular restaurant and store. There are plenty of small stores and two meat shops close by. Our two daughters came to stay at Christmas and there was plenty of room for all of us. My husband and I spent a lot of time on the beautiful shaded upstairs terrace, whereas our daughters spent more time in the sunny upper terrace. Carol was great to work with. She has a lot of integrity. The housekeeper and the garderner were also lovely. They kept us up-to-date on the festivals and parades around town and were always very pleasant and cooperative. If we had any kind of problem, it was fixed right away.We checked out other places while we were in SMA and this house is a great deal. I highly recomment it if you want a lovely, carefree vacation in a wonderful city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.
