Beautiful, large executive home in Southwest Austin on the hillside of Oak Hill. 10 minute drive from downtown Austin, Zilker Park, SoCo, etc. This spacious home is a perfect getaway for Big Groups of friends or family.
Take in a view of the hill country while enjoying a nice breeze on the balcony swing just outside the master bedroom. Relax in the shaded backyard with its beautiful Oak trees and covered back porch, while your friends or family cook on the gas grill or gather around the large teak table and stone bar. Walk down the hill for a great burger, or jump in the car for a quick drive downtown to a great restaurant.
Access to this home begins with the stone staircase to the front door, which is actually the second floor of the home. This level includes a bedroom with a queen sized bed, the living room with flat screen TV and large sofas, half-bath, spacious kitchen with large center island, dining room and laundry facilities. Access to the backyard is from this floor. (Side entrance is also available next to garage.)
The master bedroom is tucked away on the top floor and includes a king sized bed, flat screen TV, a large master bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a tub, and a balcony with swing overlooking south Austin.
The bottom floor includes two bedrooms (one queen and two twin beds) and a full bathroom.
Home sleeps 8 in beds, plus 2 adults in sofa bed. Blow up mattress can accommodate a couple more kids.
There is plenty of parking space in the driveway in front of the 3 car garage and in the circle drive in front of the house.
A Walgreens is walking distance approx 200 yards from the home and Barton Creek is a 5 minute drive. This is a classy area of South Austin with easy access to Downtown and local attractions.
PLEASE NO GROUPS OF EVERYONE UNDER 28. WE CANNOT HAVE GUESTS STAYING WITH ONLY THE PURPOSES OF PARTYING AND MUST BE COURTEOUS TO OUR NEIGHBORS.
This is an excellent value for a high end home in a convenient area.

We had a family vacation set up to Austin, TX to visit. We had 8 Adults + children... This house was excellent for us. The backyard was fenced to let the kids run and the house was large enough for all adults to spread out and be comfortable. Stacey was very professional to work with as well as very accommodating with some of our requests. Also very helpful. I would recommend this property to the large family vacationing or to a smaller group as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house was very clean and had nice towels, linens. Listing and photos are accurate. Very comfortable and spacious. Kitchen could use some more stainless utensils - forks and teaspoons especially and more coffee mugs. Washer and dryer worked very well and were clean. Convenient to downtown. We locked ourselves out, called the manager and were let back in within 30 min of our call. Thank You!!! Overall - a very pleasant stay. Would stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We've stayed at this home nearly a handful of times and each time I am reminded that there is no better vacation rental in Austin! Perfect for groups. Awesome back patio and grill area. Relaxing. Spacious. And so much more! The kitchen seems to be the focal point each time and has accommodated a private chef for our group with everything he's ever needed to make 5 course dinners. It's 4 levels, but has an amazing flow. Would recommend to large families, girl weekends, or just a stay-cation locale for those in the area. Near everything and less than 10 minutes from the airport.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

We used the home for a group of women from all over the country. It served as the perfect respite. From the amazing back patio to the beds that you melted into, we couldn't have asked for a better home to stay at. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this wonderful home while in Austin to attend an October wedding. Nine adults had plenty of room to spread out on the multiple levels and all slept comfortably. We easily entertained a total of 32 people for an outdoor luncheon one day and 16 friends and family indoors for lunch the next day when the weather turned cooler. Everyone who came to this home wanted a tour and all commented how lucky we were to have found such a perfect place for the long weekend. Obviously, we would love to return sometime. We highly recommend this home to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Seven friends stayed at this house -- the back yard and kitchen are great gathering areas. We had plenty of room and the house is very nice. Though, we sure wished it had a pool with the Austin heat and humidity.Recommended for: Girls getaway.

Had a wonderful 4 days in this beautiful home. Our daughter was married in nearby Bee Cave over the weekend so this home was perfect to share with family and friends. All the folks from out of town were amazed at how lovely the home is and that it is situated in such a quiet neighborhood. They enjoyed being so close to downtown Austin too. Day after the wedding we all enjoyed a wonderful barbeque in the fantastic backyard of this home. Again, everyone was so comfortable and relaxed. So glad we found this treasure of a house and we are already planning to try and arrange a family gathering again next year (without the wedding though)!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We live within 2 miles of this house and used it to host the many members of our extended family for my son's wedding and associated family reunion. It was fabulous! Sure beat arranging 3-4 hotel rooms for 4-5 days each and having to do the "visiting" in the lobby. Lovely accomodations - yard for kids - kitchen for meal prep for special diets - washer & dryer. Safe, convenient. Tri-level, and stairs may be difficult for some, but that allowed us to separate from each other a little, too.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

A group of friends and I rented out this place for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. The house was so big and roomy. We loved using the backyard patio furniture to chit chat and relax. The kitchen was amazing and the place to be for drinks and eating. We played board games in the living room and watched football there, too. The atmosphere was all-around perfect!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family enjoyed staying at this unique home. Levels are split to make it feel like we were all together, yet could separate to enjoy a silent moment in this beautiful home. My family enjoyed sunrises and sunsets throughout the home. It truly is easy to jump on 71 and then Mopac to get to all the great shops in Austin. We had a wedding reception in Downtown Austin, and my family said this home was a pleasant 10 minutes away. Great place! Would recommend everyone to stay here!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are a busy family of seven, with five kids ranging from 13 years to 14 months old. We love to travel and experience new places and have used VRBO extensively.
Why the Owner Chose Oak Hill:
We bought this home because of its proximity to Austin and its many things to do. We also chose it because of its short drive to great hiking and other outdoor activities.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We really enjoy grilling in the backyard and sitting under the oaks while the sun goes down. We also like to walk to the snow cone place (and Starbucks!) just on the backside of the hill or the park just down the road. BurgerTex is also a short walk down the hill.
