Stayed at the house with a few friends to enjoy a ski getaway weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the number of rooms so that we all had our own & loved the pool table to pass our down time. The house was clean & well maintained. I will definitely remember this property for future trips!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your terrific review. We are very happy that you enjoyed staying at Emerald Lakes! We truely appreciate how you cared for the house while you were there & are looking forward to having you back! Certainly, the fact that we offer six bedrooms means that there is always room for family and friends to come along. Our proximity to Camelback Ski area cannot be beat!

This house was perfect for our big group. We went on the weekend before Thanksgiving to celebrate "FriendsGiving" and the house was perfect. The location made it very easy to find, all major shopping is close by and the inside of the house is modern and extremely comfortable. Even though the pictures are new, the house still looks much better in person. Eric was also extremely patient and answered all our questions. I will definitely rent this house again. Don't miss out!Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind words. We give every effort to make sure that all of our guests have an enjoyable stay. Starting from clear directions and entry instructions, maintaining clean comfortable facilities and recommending numerous local attractions. Needless to say we would love to have your group back again as most of our guests are repeat renters. There is so much to do in summer in Emerald Lakes and Poconos I am sure you are going to have a blast. As always, we keep upgrading and improving the property so keep checking in!

08/31/12 - 9/3/12 Fantastic vacation house & Great owner support My family had a great vacation at this property. First of all, the owner/manager was very responsive and helpful throughout the rental process. He made great suggestions for local attractions in the area for us and our children. He always responded to us right away. Secondly, the property is fantastic - great beautifully manicured lawn and trees. The Interior is nicely renovated and decorated. The Owner had left toys for our children, which was great. We BBQ'ed almost every day. Deck was great for outdoor evening dinner. Wifi worked on the deck which was great for the kids. Location was great as well. Very close to Camel Beach Water Park . All in all, we had a great time and experience with the property and owner/manager. Will definitely come back again next summer. we would recommend it to everyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks so much for renting our home. You were a great group and we would love to have you stay with us again !

What a wonderful time we had!! The house is very easy to find right off the exit. Everything is within minutes incl. shopping and restaurants, which is not to be taken for granted in the Poconos! lol We were also a 10 minute drive from Camelbeach Waterpark. The place looked exactly the same as it did in the pictures. It is well maintained and very comfortable. We enjoyed the gameroom and the pool table downstairs. Let me tell you there are real five private bedrooms which is a bonus since we were 12 people! Overall i would def recommend this place to anyone who wants a getaway. Did I mention free WiFi?Owner response: We just added the sixth bedroom downstairs which boasts twin-over-full bunkbed. The house can now sleep 14 people in bedrooms, 18 people if you count two sofabeds in common areas.

My 8 friends and I stayed at this location over the June 1st-3rd 2012 weekend. We all drove from different location and had 9 cars parked in the gravel laid driveway near the house. Our first bad experience was finding bed bugs in one of the downstairs beds when we arrived and inspected the mattresses. Then we found some French's mustard that expired in 2010 in the cabinets. We departed at 11:15pm on Friday with 2 of our 9 cars and arrived back at 2am to find that the entire driveway was flooded by 3 feet of water and 7 of our 9 vehicles soaked (3 of them totaled - including a brand new car). The owner gave us no information about the flooding ahead of time and there were no posted warnings not to park in the drive way. Then when we contacted him he acted like he'd never heard of it happening before but we were told by many neighbors & locals that not only this specific house but the whole road is a hot spot of flooding whenever it rains. Something that happens that frequent needs to be told to renters!!! Thanks for looking out for your renters and giving them a tiny piece of information that could have prevented over $250,000.00 in damages to vehicles and possessions; it was really appreciated. The owner is highly negligent and did not care about our car damages or the fact that it ruined our weekend.Owner response: This is a repeat renter who had no complaints last time they rented. This time they happened to be unlucky with the weather and so decided to blame the owner. They never informed me that there was going to be so many people arriving in 9 cars! The driveway can fit only 5-6 cars so they parked on the grass near the creek which rose for a few hours The whole property is not a "driveway" Rainy season is April and May but nothing like that ever happened in 9 years we've owned the house and had hundreds of renters. We use the house for our family and friends for weeks at a time and to claim that we would knowingly accept such a degree of risk is ludicrous. PA Rt-4004 (Sullivan Tr) is the state's responsibility and I called Penn DOT which arrived on scene to pump the water. I also offered renters to stay extra time as long as they needed. Lastly, so-called bedbugs were checked out by exterminator and nowhere to be found according to written statement attached.

We enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. I had 12 adults in my party and we all had a comfortable enjoyable stay. The curb appeal is much to be desired but the inside of the house was very nice. The house is not very modern but offered enough to have an enjoyable weekend. I would suggest you bring your own bedding and pillows. The bedding is very old. Also if you are going to cook a lot I would also bring pots and pans. The trash needs to be taken to a certain location and cannot be left outside on the curb. The location is close to the slopes, shopping, and restaurants. We will rent again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/4

Any family should consider staying here when visiting Poconos. For the value, can't be beat. The 5 bedroom is plenty of room for a group of 10 or 12 (or more). Property is in great shape, plenty of parking, free WiFi Couple minor maintenance issues (screen doors that get ripped all the time by guests with kids or pets) were fixed immediately. Clubhouse folks friendly and helpful. Will definitiely stay here again when in area. The area this is located in is a low density area which makes getting around quite easy. There is a 24 hr Walmart, McD's, Subway and a steakhouse nearby. You do need a car if you stay here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5

My family and I stayed for a weekend in June for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had people flying in from Colorado and Ohio and owner was really helpful with directions. The house was very easy to find off exit and very clean, It looked like it was just rennovated. We really enjoyed barbecuing and hanging by the lake which is a few minutes drive from the house. Eric also recommended some local restaurants because there is a lot of them in the area and it can be tought to choose. Try Jubilee for breakfast it's a must ! Overall, great times!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Stayed at this charming house one week in August '10 with family and friends. We were total of 8 adults and 5 kids. The house was spacious enough for our large group and may I add spotless. (Kitchen well equipped, with newer appliances and all kinds of gadgets). We enjoyed the pool table downstairs a lot! For those on a working vacation, like my husband, there is high speed wireless internet. Spent much time on the lake, just few min by driving. The beach there is very clean and not crowded at all. There is a playground, and bathrooms, ample parking and a life guard. The location was pretty good, minutes away from 24 hr Wal-Mart and for those of you like my girlfriends and my self Outlet shops! Also there is a miniature golf and arcades near by for the children. Overall we all had the most relaxing getaway! We are definitely coming back this summer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.
