As you arrive at the beautiful formal black and gold iron gates that open onto the only asphalt driveway on the mountain. The Rhododendron lined drive leads you through the winding mountain to a beautiful well-maintained two-level cedar sided home in a very private landscaped setting. The home sits on 5.01 acres and is surrounded by beautiful, mature landscaping and Impressive mountain views. You will find many places to read a book, take a nap or just relax and enjoy. You have a screened in dining porch, 2 levels of decks, an 18' round deck set pool and a private 4 person hot tub add to its amenities.
*the hot tub is open from September 1 to December 31 and the pool is open from May 15 to September 1 each year.
The main house has three Master suites, one with king bed, private bath and soaking tub with a private sitting area and hot tub deck, the second is a queen size with private bath and 2 person shower. Attached to the main house with private entrance is a beautiful guest suite (handicap designed) with gel fireplace, private bath with single shower. Additional sleeping provided by a queen size sofa bed in the large family room and a single bed in the den.
The house has over 1200 DVDs, cable, wireless internet, phone with free long distance, games, and lots of toys for kids. perfect for cats and dogs as well. Beautiful hardwood floors in the public rooms with carpeting in the bedrooms and stone in the bathrooms.
This is perfect for a couples getaway, a family reunion, or a group of friends. It is totally private. The adjoining lot is also owned by this property and can be rented as well. That property has a one bedroom/one bath cottage build for this estate in 2006.

This ihe most beautiful house I have ever seen. Even with a foot of snow, power out for 10 hours and 11 of us in the house we still had an incredible time and you were so nice to get us water and plow the driveway so we could get home to DC. I have never stayed in a house this cool. Around every corner was a new item to see and enjoy. The Jukebox was so amazing and 6 of us slept perfectly and Brian had the house all set up for us and we felt like Kings. My husband and I (and our dog Bella) stayed at this home in June 2011. It is tucked in the West Virginia mountains - near DC but it feels a world away. The owner, Brian, was terrific and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The house is lovely and we spent hours on the porch enjoying the fresh air and the views. There is not much close to the house (a diner and a restaurant that is open on Friday and Saturday nights) which is part of the reason we loved the house, but be sure to bring your own food for cooking. The house has everything you need to make a feast.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.
