This beautiful home is located in DeBordieu Colony, one of the most exclusive coastal resort communities in South Carolina. The setting and amenities are ideal for family reunions as there is something to do for all ages.
Start your day with a stroll on the white sand beach along-side dolphins playing in the turquoise surf, followed by a delicious breakfast at the beach club. Grab some friends, jump on the golf cart and head over to the course for a round of golf or just play on the beach all morning. For lunch head over to the grill for a burger and fries and then lounge by the pool with a tropical drink from the poolside gazebo bar. Hop on a bike and explore to the trails that wind through Debordieu. You're sure to encounter a great blue heron, a family of deer or even an alligator or two! Then head to one of several nearby towns for a fabulous dinner, shopping and sightseeing. But you may not even want to leave Debordieu or this great house.

Our family golf cart comes as part of the rental. It is nothing fancy. Nice golf carts can be rented from Pawleys Island Golf and delivered to the house.
Use of Debordieu's boat landing. You can leave your boat tied up at our shared private dock. There is a fee to bring your boat into Debordieu. About 50. - 200. depending on length of stay and time of year.
Pets are negotiable on a case by case basis and require a $200 refundable damage deposit plus a $150 per pet non-refundable fee. Pet waste must be bagged and disposed of properly. Dogs allowed on beach at certain times. Call Debordieu for current rules.

Debordeau House is located in a beautiful gated community which resembles a nature reserve. A combination of forest, home to deer, wetlands, home to many birds, logger-head turtles,& the occasional alligator. There is a marvellous beach, stretching for miles. The house is ideal for family holidays/get together, with all the convenience & comforts of home. We were there for Spring Break, with our daughter, son in law, 2 grandchildren, and an old friend. The 4 bedrooms, 3 baths , proved a perfect set up. If you are looking for relaxation, in a quite & picturesque setting, this is it. Highly recommendedRecommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Had a wonderful time at this property. Short, beautiful walk to the beach. Plenty of space and very kid friendly. The screened in porch was very lovely. Overall perfect experience and would absolultely recommend this house to anyone. Our family had a delightful week at Debordieux House. We arrived to a very clean and spacious house in beautiful DeBordieu. I especially enjoyed watching the sunrise through the trees while sipping my breakfast tea on the top floor screened porch. There is plenty of room for an extended family and DeBordieu House seemed to enjoy the company as much as we enjoyed staying there. All family members enjoyed riding the golf cart through the beautifully landscaped grounds where we spied alligators, turtles, deer, osprey, herons, egrets, wood storks, a variety of ducks, and even a pair of bald eagles along the marshes and trails. The beach is pristine and the ocean gave us a gentle week. For an afternoon break we enjoyed walking the riverfront in Georgetown and a delicious lunch at Portofino’s. If you have never shopped at Fresh Market on Pawley’s Island, a specialty grocery store, you are in for a treat of first class produce and pastries, I wish I had one close to home. Watching the dolphins at sunset while having cocktails and/or dinner on the Gazebo deck became a favorite way to end our busy days. Quinn, the owner, responded quickly to all texts, emails and phone calls and was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We had a lovely, reunion in this very accomodating home in beautiful, DeBordieu Colony! The owners were very accomodating and easy to work with! The home had everything we needed to prepare our meals, enjoy them as a family and reconnect! We enjoyed the club, live music and everything else that encompassed our delightful stay in this exclusive community. The nature trails and the fishing provided hours of entertainment, while the pools occupied the youngest members of our party. The ocean, well it was just beautiful!! Had a very nice stay here with our family - the house was in a great location to enjoy the July 4th fireworks. The house and yard are nice and private, plenty of garage space, nice layout, short golf cart ride to the beach club, great views of the marsh from the screened in porches. You won't find a better price in beautiful Debordieu!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from a wonderful family get together in this home. It is a beautiful home, in a really great community. Our kids loved the community pool and the beach was a great laid back atmosphere, perfect for our family vacation. Seeing all the wildlife was an unexpected perk as well. The home was very clean, and the owners were great to work with in providing quick answers to our questions and going out of their way with recommendations on how to set up the space to work best for our extended family (with several small kids). We hope to come back sometime soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Great house for a week at the South Carolina shore.Home had comfortable bedrooms with very large and open living space. Morning breakfast on the second floor deck overlooking the marsh were beautiful. Easy walk to either beach club or golf course. Golf cart was a plus.Would rent again .Recommended for: People with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My husband and I, along with our two Havanese, spent a glorious week in this home in DeBordieu Colony. The natural beauty of DeBordieu must be experienced to be fully appreciated. This home proved to be very comfortable, convenient to all activities, and capitalized on the tranquility of the marsh setting. We enjoyed the porches in the evening watching the sunset and listening to the sounds of the wildlife. This is truly a refuge for vacationers looking for an unspoiled coastal locale. The owner efficiently handled our reservation, established a club account for our stay, and provided general information about the area. We were pleased with our arrangements and so grateful our dogs could be a part of this very special place. Hopefully, a return visit is possible in the fall.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a wonderful property to stay at in the DeBordieu Colony! Located about 30 miles south of Myrtle Beach, our family was able to enjoy the beautiful and tranquil community near a quiet ocean beach front, as well as check things out in Myrtle Beach without the traffic and congestion. Our children loved our daily golf cart rides around the community to see where the alligators, bottleneck turtles and herons would be hanging out. The house was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated and spacious, giving us privacy apart from our children (the master suite is on the 2nd floor and the children's rooms were on the 3rd floor). With the main living area on the 3rd floor, the views at all hours of the day were spectacular and very private. The library was equipped with many board games, which we enjoyed playing on the gaming table in the great room with the children in the evenings. Our dog (a Pembroke Welsh Corgi) also seemed to enjoy his outings. We were very pleased to see that dogs ARE allowed on the beach anytime with a leash - something we were not expecting - allowing us to bring our dog with us on our outings! The owners were very easy to work with, responding quickly to requests and questions, and very gracious in their responses. We greatly enjoyed our vacation and would highly recommend this residence for rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: This house has been in the family since our father built it in 2001. A native of South Carolinia, he had always enjoyed the way of life on the coast of the low country. He was an advertising executive for Proctor and Gamble, McDonalds and others. We spent a lot of time with our dad at this house and sadly lost him in July of 2011. We want to keep the house in the family so we can continue to enjoy all Debordieu and the house has to offer, like he intended. We hope your family will enjoy it as much as we have.
Why the Owner Chose Georgetown:
Our family spent childhood summers at nearby Surfside Beach. When our father built this house, he wanted it to be the place where his children and grandchildren could come and create their own memories at the beach.
