Dear friends,
During the course of the construction of this property many of you have expressed an interest in renting the house for an extended family or multi-couple vacation, well the good news is that it will be finished for the 2011 Easter Holiday Season and we are now in a position to accept your reservations for that period and beyond.
The even better news is that during the period while the landscaping matures and before we begin marketing the property on national and international vacation web sites we are going to offer it first to friends and friends of friends at a discounted rate.
Tariff
Please not that the premium AUD$900.00 per night rate is for the Christmas, New Year and Easter weeks only and that generally the $700.00 per night rate is for school holiday periods and the $600 rate is for non-school holiday periods.
The accommodation is as follows;
First floor
Master Bedroom with King Bed, en-suite, walk in wardrobe and Ocean Front Terrace
Bedroom 2, Queen Bed, fitted wardrobes and Ocean Front Terrace
Bedroom 3, 2 x twin beds and fitted wardrobes,
Family bathroom,
Fitted and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, extractor, side by side fridge with icemaker, micro-wave, coffee maker, all cutlery, cookware and flatware,
Family room with dining table seats 10, lounge suite seats 10, flat-panel TV, Hi-Fi, WI-Fi,
Huge balustraded entertaining terrace overlooking beach and ocean with outdoor seating for 10,
Spiral stairs to balustraded roof-terrace with huge thatched Nakamal (ni-Van meeting Place) with dining seating for 20 and a gas barbecue,
Ground Floor
Large and private family room sleeps 4 in two queen roll-out sofa beds, entertainment centre, TV, wardrobe, ocean and beachfront terrace with seating and ramp to beach.
Shower room/laundry with commercial quality washer & dryer.
Plus, staff/nanny/driver/bodyguard quarters with en-suite shower room and double bed can serve as extra bedroom (accessed through garage)
Ceiling fans inside and out throughout.
Staff
Suzie, our Ni-Van house girl comes in each day to clean, wash, iron, make the beds and generally tidy up.
Suzie will also baby-sit, shop and prepare simple meals for a smol Vatu consideration.
Carl the gardener will be on hand to keep the landscaping nice and pick some flowers or fresh vegetables for you.
There are a number of trusted drivers we can recommend who will take you on island tours or out for the night.
All you have to do is sit back and enjoy this wonderful island paradise.
This magnificent property is brand new and was built and equipped by and for the owners to the very highest level. It is absolutely beach front in fact the back terrace steps are in the sand and the warm azure water of the South Pacific Ocean is just ten metres beyond. The bustling city of Port Vila, capital of the Republic of Vanuatu is just a 5 minute drive, a brisk 20 minute walk or a 5 minute boat ride. The house is in a private gated estate of just 15 high end homes occupied by some of Port Vila's most notable identities. One of the most stunning features is the roof top Tiki Hut (or Nakamal) which offers 360o views of the South Pacific Ocean, Ifira Island, Port Vila and Mele Bay; guests can even watch the cruise ships tie up just across the way from us. No superlatives can ever begin to do this property justice, from its proximity to the beach, mature (Banyan) shade trees, enchanting staff and the beautiful, magical, musical ni-Van island of Ifira across the bay.
Swim from our beach in the sheltered, safe Worowloa channel with its coral gardens and patch reef’s or swim to a living tropical coral reef.
Fish from our beach or boat out a few hundred metres to deep water where numerous pelagic game fish abound,
Walk into town, a brisk 20 minute walk will see you in downtown Port Vila
But beware; you will not want to go home.

Boasting the only sandy beaches in Port Vila, Paradise Point is an exclusive gated community of only 15 sumptuous homes fronting beautiful Mele Bay and the South Pacific Ocean
History: Vanuatu used to be known as the New Hebrides, it was a 'condominium' jointly administered by the French and the British until the ni-Van people achieved their independence in 1986. Vanuatu has retained the best of both its French and British culture and most ni-Van speak English, French and Bislama (pigeon) and their own island dialects. The Author James Michener based his book South Pacific and the fabled Bali Hai on Vanuatu.
During WW11, Vanuatu was the assembly point for the US naval invasion fleet and many traces of this presence remain, for instance the airport, sunken warships, bits of planes and many, many Coke bottles and some suspiciously light skinned ni-Van. The Benjor Resort on Devil's Point Road still retains what was the officers club as its lounge room and bar. These days, Vanuatu's main industry is tourism, building and off-shore banking.....no tax!
Culture: Efate is the main island in the Vanuatu archipelago of 80 islands and Port Vila is the capital city. From Port Vila visitors can travel to other islands in the chain and experience volcanoes, dive sites, uninhabited islands and traditional culture which is still strong in the Islands. The Vanuatu people ( the ni-Van) are the most enchanting, friendly, funny, gentle folk you could ever wish to meet, not for nothing did the UN vote Vanuatu the 'happiest Place on Earth' two years ago.

Hi, we are Angie and Michael Mitchell, we were both born in the UK, sold up in 2001 and retired to Australia and now spend our time between our Quarter Horse Ranch in QLD, our Florida Keys fishing camp in the US and our Vanuatu beachfront Villa. We enjoy travelling, fishing, boating, diving, shooting, riding and cruising.
Why the Owner Chose Port Vila
Well we fell in love with Vanuatu the first time we came in 2005and since it is only 2.5 hours from Brisbane we thought it would make a great vacation home and rental investment.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
I suppose the best benefit is being so near the ocean and yet within minutes of Port Vila the bustling capital of Vanuatu.
