“Our Mountain Honey” is a very special home nestled in the pine trees in Breckenridge, Colorado. No detail has been overlooked, and the “Bear” décor made me feel right at home.
I could tell that a lot of effort went into making this home special and welcoming. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and spaces to come together. This home was perfect for all the different ages of our group. The movie selection was excellent!
The den with the pool table was a popular for some friendly competitions, while the den with the fireplace was used for reading, playing checkers and watching the snow fall. Relaxing in this home was easy as the comfortable furniture and beds were almost too inviting!
In the historic town of Breckenridge, we discovered unique shops and restaurants as well as the main-stream coffee shop we couldn’t live without. The Outlet Shops in nearby Silverthorne made for some great bargains to bring home.
This Bear could stay forever in a lovely home like this!

This place is perfect for large groups, we had 9 men and still had plenty of room (I dont think we utilized the lower den at all but it's there if needed). Upon the day of arrival, everyone was giving me compliments on finding this place for us. Speaking of arrival; Ann (The owner) called shortly after check-in, just to make sure everything was good, she even inquired about us having enough fire wood, she is great. Everything about this place is great. Walk across the street and you can start skiing. Close to town for shopping and restaurants. If you like nature, there is a fox that paid us visits frequently who is definitely not scared of humans (made for some great pics). "Our Mountain Honey" has it all.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our Mountain Honey was perfect. The location was ideal – Right off of 4 o’clock run. The house is large with lots of dens and space, so even with a group – no one ever felt crowded. I would definitely recommend Our Mountain Honey to others. The owners were also wonderful to work with. We had a great trip and experience. We hope to stay there again on our next trip to Breckenridge.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We just got back home from staying in Breckenridge and it was absolutely a home away from home. Two families fit very comfortably in this large home. We skied 3 days and the location was great. We skied right down to Snowflake Lift and skied home on 4 O'Clock. The amenities were great as well (heated floors, hot tub, DVD collection, wifi, extra living rooms for kids, 2 washers/dryers). We felt like we were at home the entire vacation. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a great vacation with many memories!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family & I have vacationed in Breckenridge 10 times and recently found "Our Mountain Honey" and have since stayed here twice. This house is Huge!!! It is the perfect combination of luxury & homey comfort. It is so inviting. From the moment you walk in you feel right at home. Being right off 4 O'clock run it is close to everything. Skiing in the winter & great hiking trails in the summer, & an easy walk into town. The kitchen had everything we needed & the couches are really comfortable, & it has a pool table. We had the downstairs 3br & living area for the kids and it worked great. I think this the the best place in Breck. Anyone who chooses to stay here won't regret it!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children.

So much space and so much beauty! Both inside and outside! We had 10 adults for 5 nights and never even used 2 of the rooms! We loved the open space around the kitchen, main floor den and dining room. We could all gather during meal prep and when people returned from skiing. 2 people raved about the cross-country ski trails .. be sure to ask for Jim Neil at the nordic center if you want lessons. The home is so well appointed .. even sleds for the kids! We took our 2 yr old and 1 non-skier for a free gondola ride to watch the terrain jumps while eating at the base of Peak 8. The DVD and book collection are unmatched for "down time" activities. Big screen TV's everywhere! Plenty of china and a big table to seat us all.. even placemats and cloth napkins! Be sure to check out all the cabinets for lots of special extras to surprise you! The owner, Ann, is always easily accessible for your questions. Even tho' we all have cell phones, it was great having a house phone for a messaging center. Do read over the "ski-in-ski-out" specifics - it could be a little difficult for some when the snow/ice banks are high. I'd love to visit there in the summertime! You'll have an awesome time!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our group visited the last full week of Jan and had a wonderful time. The house was amazing, and even with a large group of 10 adults it was easy to loose people as it was so large. :) The views are amazing, and there's nothing better than that outdoor hot tub after a long day on the mountain. We would love to go back and would highly recommend this location to others.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My extended family had a wonderful visit for my Grandson's 5th birthday. Lots of room with separate spaces for everyone. The house was very well equipped. We would love to come back sometime. It far exceeded our expectations. Thanks, Anne.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our Mountain Honey was everything the owners wrote about and more. The house description in the listing is right on. Our grandkids could get lost in the house which made for some good quiet time. The house is beautiful and has everything needed to make a vacation great. Short walk to and from the ski run( If you are a good skiier you can ski in on snowy days down the street to the driveway). Plenty tv's, large hot tub, large grill on deck was used to make snowburgers. Yummy. Loved wood burning fireplace in main living area. Red Foxx visited daily.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

What a great place, everything in description is spot on. The views are incredible. The garage stays warm so you have a great dry and warm place to get all your ski equipment on in the morning and then straight across the street to the slopes. The rooms are great, all stainless steel appliances we were able to cook for 10 and had plenty of room. Two great rooms with TV's and couches and then a huge room with pool table. Ann is a very gracious host and called to make sure everything was fine. I would highly recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

To ski out: Snow Flake Lift View on map
To ski-out of "Our Mountain Honey, you cross the road, go behind the Tyra Townhomes and ski down Four O'Clock Run to a path to your right which will take you to Snow Flake Lift, a two-seater lift that takes you to a point just above Peak 8 Base. You will have to take off your skis to cross the street in front of Snow Flake Lift. It is a green ski slope at this point of the mountain.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1997
About the owner: I grew up in North Central Texas. After graduate school in New Orleans and a job in Boston, I married and moved to Arkansas with my husband in the 1970's. We started visiting Breckenridge during church youth trips when my daughter was in high school and spotted 'Our Mountain Honey' on one of these trips. We bought it in 1997 and renovated it, doubling its size. It has recently gone through a second renovation.
Why the Owner Chose Four O'Clock Subdivision:
We love being 'on the slopes' and yet not far from Main Street! We often walk to town for breakfast or lunch in the summertime and even sometimes in the winter. 'Our Mountain Honey' is close to nature, a stream in the back and beautiful aspens on the side. We can also see Snow Flake lift through the trees and Baldy Mountain in the distance. The sunny deck is wonderful for picnic lunch
The Unique Benefits at this House:
At night you can hear the stream below....sometime we see a moose ('Mollie, the Moose)or fox (Carla, the fox) watching us. 'Our Mountain Honey' has many 'nooks and crannies' where we can get away from each other when we want and it also has many 'gathering places' where we can visit together. There are 3 large HDTV's and 3 smaller ones all around the house. The Pool table is a great favorite as is the hot tub.
