  We took our son and some of his friends to the beach for his high school graduation. With the separate facilities we were able to have the girls sleep upstairs, and the guys downstairs maintaining privacy for both. So much to do in Galveston, but not necessary to leave Jamaica Beach either. Games galore for everyone's appetite.....awesome living room invited lots of late night movie watching....when we weren't outside star gazing and listening to the waves crash to the shore. It was a terrific trip for everyone and we will DEFINITELY return. Thanks so much.

  Our family of 7 spent 3 wonderful months at this dream house. It has a fabulous view of the beach! We had picnics on the porch, and drank wine under the moon. I took morning walks on the beach and it only took minutes to glide down the always mowed walkway straight over to the water. What makes this home so amazing is that it is right next to a state park which was all grasslands and beach. There was something for everyone in our family: Xfinity cable for Dad, a very large fenced in deck for our dog to run around, granite counter tops and convection oven for Mom, close to the beach for the kids, walking distance to Blue Water Grill for pizza, Valero's redbox for movie nights, Seaside church, boat dock for bayside fishing, etc. I still can't believe the owner doesn't live here full time! She says she plans to, so we plan to go back as much as we can before she does!

  We had a girls weekend and it was fun. Such a beautiful place. Fully furnished home and all we brought was food. Very clean. The balcony was peaceful and relaxing. You do have to cross a busy street to walk to the beach. The beach was good and clean. Will definitely go back someday!!!

  Owner response: Thank you. We have furnished our beach house like your second home at the beach. The walk over to the beach is very short and very safe. The speed limit is 35 mph and very well enforced by our own City of Jamaica Beach police department. We also have our own fire department and ambulance in Jamaica Beach. Safety is very important to all of us. Come back and enjoy our quiet little city on the west end of Galveston anytime.

  We loved this property. It was very comfortable, accommodating, and well equipped. The property manager is very friendly and helpful. I especially liked the generous decks that offer views of the Gulf (about two blocks away) and the surrounding wetlands. The beach house is at the end of the street which gives you a sense of openness and privacy. I thought the overall location was perfect; just outside Galveston away from the crowds, but only a few minutes from all the attractions. I have already recommended this property to friends, but in some ways I would like to keep it a secret so it will be more available to rent again, which is something we plan to do. August 2012

  We absolutely loved our stay here. It was clean comfortable and spacious. With just a short drive to the beach it made it very convenient to go jump in the ocean. Jamaica Beach was never crowded, we loved it there! I certainly recommend this house to all vacationers. You will love it!

  We were so blessed to get to stay in your beautiful beach home! Thank you!!!! Everything was so nice and new and clean. The cupboard and fridge were stocked with basic necessities like coffee, creamer, condiments. Even the bathrooms had cute little travel size containers of soap, toothpaste, shampoo and lotions. Nowhere I have ever stayed provided all of that. The washer and dryer were great to have and the soaps were there for that too. The kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed. I made gumbo in your large pot and one day we threw some chicken in the crockpot and headed to the beach. When we came back it was ready to eat! The views were phenomenal and even tho it rained a few days we still enjoyed your wonderful and large deck. The grandkids loved the shady downstairs area and the extra room down there really came in handy for extra space for the younger people to stay up and play cards/foosball while the older adults went to sleep upstairs. Besides all of that the FEEL of the place is what got me. It is so calm and relaxing. No one got in a hurry or stressed out. You will be impressed with this property. It is a private getaway but close enough to town to have a nite out. We all loaded up and went to the ART WALK on Saturday nite. So much fun to walk around the streets with a glass of wine and talk to local artists. Then we went to eat at the gumbo bar - yummy stuff! We were home before 10pm and still had time to play a few rounds of cards around your big table. The state park was right next door and altho I am not a birder I enjoyed watching the many and varied birds. We all thank you again. Stop your search, people. This is the place!

  We had a great time at this beach house. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 grandchildren. A cousin, her spouse and their 2 children came for a visit on Saturday. Having the extra room downstairs was wonderful. There is plenty of parking space. My cousin brought his boat and having the community marina to put it was very convenient. May I suggest contacting Rick's Beach Rentals for a golf cart. It was great having it to get back and forth to the beach. Driving around the Jamaica Beach community for also fun looking at all the different houses. Even though my son's dogs did not accompany him as planned, this property is good if you were to bring your dog. The yard is well maintained and spacious for children to run around, fly kites, and all the things little ones do.

  There were 12 of us (6 kids ranging in age from 20 mos to 13 yrs old) and everyone had a fabulous time at the beach house. The fully furnished deck was amazing and has a gate by the stairway so it's super safe for little kids. The kids were able to run freely and play while the adults were able to relax and catch up. We spent July 4th at the beach which was super close and was able to pick up wine at the convenience store around the corner to celebrate Independence Day. The owner is very nice and the house is very clean. We would definitely come back again! :)

  Awesome house! The owner/manager was very personable and so easy to work with! The house is well laid out with an open floor plan and plenty of seating. We had 10 adults ranging in age from 21yrs to 54 for an extended weekend so we rented the lower level also for over flow. At times an extra bathroom does come in handy. Unlike other beach homes this location has a more secluded atmosphere. We walked to and on the beach each morning. Went to the beach during the day or sat out on the spacious decks enjoying the breezes from the gulf. We would definitely rent this home again!

  Owner response: The location offers you privacy yet has great views with easy access to the beach. It doesn't get much better than that. The optional space offers flexibility for large and small families. The downstairs area sleeps 4, has a sitting area to watch tv or play some foosball, 3/4 bath, and kichenette.
