Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time! The house was clean and had plenty of room!! There were minor things like no can opener, not many games (although website stated more) & wifi didnt work at first but not enough for us to be dissatisfied. We used the laser disk player on the stormy days!!! Thank you!! Manager responded on 4/12/2013: The can opener has been replaced. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very nice. We have stayed at other rentals in Long Beach as well. It would be nice if the kitchen was a bit better stocked with spices, oil, things you don't think to pack. Also It could use a new can opener as the three that are there need to be sharpened or replaced. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The neighbors are very friendly as well. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was large and well kept up. It had plenty of room for us and our guests and everyone enjoyed it. The house was very clean and the cleaning attendants were thourough. The only improvement that I could suggest would be to put shades in the Master Bedroon and the bedroom next to the master. The large outdoor light from the building next door is quite brite and pours through the curtains. Otherwise a great place to stay! Manager responded on 6/21/2012: Thank you so much for your input. The owners have added shades as requested, and they seem to be working very well. Why the Owner Chose Long Beach:
After stumbling upon an article about Oysterville in a travel magazine , our family decided to visit the Long Beach peninsula in 2003 for the first time. We were instantly captivated with the “world’s longest beach” and the quaint small town feel.
We bought the first house we viewed with a realtor. The original owner wanted another family to have her home that was hand built by her husband and neighbors in the 1976. Renovation of the basement was immediately started and new decks were built. Because of the bright yellow exterior, it was named Sunshine House.
We envisioned Sunshine House as a place to hold our family reunions. We stocked it with our own family toys and more in order to make it feel like home. Now, we hope that you can all make happy memories in our house with your loved ones too!
