Clean, quiet unit on second floor with pretty garden view and shade on the lanai in the afternoon, so NOT too hot to sit outside! Across the street from a beautiful golden sand beach (Charley Young Beach / Kamaole Beach 1). Newly renovated (fall 2016), including a new KING-SIZE bed in master, new kitchen and bathroom - wait till you see them! New flatscreen TV with DVD player, plus DVD and screen in master bedroom. Spectacular tennis courts, and great location for jogging and cycling (bike paths and shops throughout Kihei). New (2016) sofa bed with memory foam full size mattress, also new dining table and comfortable chairs.
Nice quiet master bedroom with no traffic noise, just birdsong.
Amazing walk-in snorkeling near this location. Great access to tours for Molokini island, and you can walk to a convenience store. Only a 15 minute drive to world-famous Makena Beach, or take some more time and explore the beautiful volcano behind us. Haleakala, the House of the Sun, looks down on the Maui Vista. Drive up to the summit or take a day trip to Hana on the far side of Haleakala. Also an easy drive to Lahaina, where you can catch a ferry to Lanai. But you will love just hanging out in Kihei - much less rain than Kaanapali or Napili! And this is THE place to learn how to surf on the island of Maui - 1 block to surfing central. Great restaurants and shopping.

Perfect location!

Great condo in the perfect location. The condo was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We had everything we needed. The best part is, we could walk to the beach AND shopping.

Work & relax

I needed a place that was fairly close to the conference I was attending in Wailea and this condo ended up being perfect. This was a terrific location with easy, walkable access to restaurants, parks and the beach across the street. I would definitely recommend it for solo travelers as well as couples.

Great Condo!

We arrived on Maui the day of the fires. Sadly, we only stayed one night as non-essential travel was discouraged by officials and one person in our party had issues with the smoky air. We were so sad to leave this beautiful, clean and comfortable condo. It had everything we could possibly need. The view from the lanai was beautiful and lush (we even had a slight ocean view). The birdsong in the morning was beautiful. The beach was a few-minutes walk from the condo. Communication with the local management company was great and they were able to help us through this unfortunate change of plans. We will definitely book this condo again should we travel to Maui again in the future. Praying for Maui. May it come back even stronger from this tragic event.

Me? I am a university professor, teaching biology courses including Wildlife Management and Island Ecology at Brenau University and Nebraska Wesleyan University. I have been coming to Maui for over 25 years, and have stayed at Kaanapali, Napili, Lahaina, Hana, and Kihei. But Kihei is my favourite! I am also a veterinarian and of course am a nature enthusiast. I have written a guide to the wildlife of Maui that is available through Amazon ('A Field Guide to the Wildlife of Maui'). My husband and I have led many groups of university students to this island, studying conservation issues, wildlife initiatives, and ecotourism.

Love Kihei! More sun than Kaanapali (or anywhere else on the island), great access to snorkeling, whale watching, dolphin watching and birding. Superb beach and only 15 minutes from THE beach (Makena).
