We loved staying at this old home - built in the early 1830s. It retained its old feel, with old beams and uneven floors - yet was very roomy and comfortable and well maintained, with many small touches designed to make us feel at home. We also loved that they had wireless internet service, as well as cable TV. The land itself is very well kept and nice to look at and walk around. The town of Londonderry is very nice, with a neat Farmer's Market on Saturdays. There was lots to do in the area; shopping, dining, sight-seeing, and swimming at a nearby pond. The owners are very friendly and helpful, yet leave you entirely to yourself. In short, a great place to stay.Owner response: It is always a pleasure to have such wonderful guests. We are so glad your family enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again. Regards Lynn & Jim

I think "Fabulous Inviting Vermont Vacation Home" said it all and we couldn't agree more. Well maintained blend of the old and the new. Conveniently located for people coming from different directions and close to all the ski areas/attractions/restaurants/etc. Excellent communications with the owner---quick and clear. Definitely a do again and highly recommended.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was my 2nd trip to this wonderful, warm, inviting former B&B. It reminds me of the old days when I would look forward ro visiting grandmas warm loving home. The house is huge, very comfortably furnished, has a large inviting fireplace, open LR, DR Kitchen are so everyone can be together (we spent many hours playing board games at the kitchen table), but also has a seperate studyon the far side of the staicase and 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor for those that need a nap or quiet time...plenty of room to spread out. There is a certain charm with the large wide planked wood floors, wood beams overhead, comfortable beds and furniture throughout, old time country feel but with modern ammenities. The location is pefect... close to stores, ski slopes, restaurants, attractions but set back so you can enjoy the peace and quiet. I don't think I have ever slept as soundly as I do at this farmhouse. The owners are kind and considerate...wonderful to deal with. We will defintely be back, hopefully for a longer period of time. Don't hesistate on this on this one.... it is a great home away from homeRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are so delighted that we can provide this safe and cozy respite from the busy world. Everyone needs some special place like this and we are finding the most wonderful folks to share this charming home. Thank you.

Charming, former Bed & Breakfast....absolutely immaculate, comfy beds etc....so charming you may be tempted to just relax , & enjoy the ambiance. Great location, close to the lovely town of Weston & in easy commuting distance to Bromley Mtn., Manchester, Magic Mtn. Grocery store & restaurants near by as well as interesting artsy - type shops in Londonderry & nearby towns. Lynn & her husband ( owners) are great, eager to help you in any way they can BUT not intrusive in any way what so ever .They live in an adjoining attached part of the B&B but still so very private..perfect...stayed there about 4-5 weeks ago & are so looking forward to returning in the near future. We rented with our close friends & with 4 bedrooms it is so very affordable. Hope this has been helpful for youRecommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We were lucky to get this house at the last minute on our recent trip to Vermont to see the fall colors. The house is very cozy, warm, lovingly furnished and has a wonderful living room/dining room/kitchen area where everyone can gather and enjoy the fireplace. The beds are very comfortable and the there is a large lawn with a small pond in the back. There is a couple of nice restaurants nearby (and a state liquor store too!). The owners are very nice and responsive to any questions or needs.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I and our extended family stayed here for a week and LOVED it! The owners are very kind and accommodating and--as former innkeepers--know what guests need and want and have provided it all. (Beds, expecially, are super-comfortable.) Having never visited the area before, we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of things to do and see nearby in the summer--even in a week we didn't exhaust all our options (so we'll definitely have to come back!)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This house is ideally located for a weekend ski trip. Its close to Bromley and Stratton and great shopping in Manchester. The layout was great for our two families. Lynn, the owner, was very accomodating. We loved the chocolate chip cookies!....and thanks for providing the roll away bed and for putting together the fold out couch. The house is clean and cozy. The living and dining areas accomodate a large group and the kitchen has plenty of extra stuff (thanks for having extra coffee filters!). The heat worked great and the wood stove was nice. All the rooms have Full size beds, which is a little tight for adults (I wish some of the rooms had Queen size or seperate single beds). There are two bathrooms upstairs...good showers and plenty of towels. We'll be back next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My family, adult children/ friends and family dog stayed at this lovely home MLK weekend 2011 and had a fabulous time. As soon as I opened the door I knew we had selected the right place. We were greeted with freshly baked sweet bread, a nicely scented candle, a smoldering fire in the fireplace and a bottle of red wine . The moment I walked in I felt like I had come home. This home, built in the 1800’s is very comfortable and welcoming. It has the perfect balance of old time charm with the wide plank hardwood floors, exposed beam ceilings and a humungous wood burning stove, as well as modern amenities such as a nicely stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds with warm bedding, abundant linens and modern baths. The house has an wide open first floor with a brick-floor kitchen, very large wooden dining table, a spacious living area with plenty of sofas, chairs, rockers, TV and that wonderful fireplace. Also has a cozy library around the comer and 4 nice sized bedrooms all located on the 2nd floor- nice that the BR’s are separate for those that needed quiet time after a day of skiing. Even though I brought groceries there were things I forgot and thankfully these items were stocked in the kitchen. I had asked the owner if they had other- than- down bedding due to allergies and they were very responsive to our needs; all beds were made up with cozy hypoallergenic linens. The owners are located on the premises but you would never know it. They are in another “house/addition” that is separated by a large barn style garage. It was nice having them there as my husband can attest. He managed to lock himself out of the house at 7:30AM and all the knocking and door bell ringing didn’t wake any of us (too much skiing and good food the day before) Luckily he was able to contact the owners who let him back him… Good thing because it was about 10 degrees outside. This house is ideally located a short drive to several major ski areas as well the shopping outlets in Manchester. Restaurants and grocery shopping are conveniently close by. We had a great time skiing during the day, coming home to a roaring fire, watching TV, playing board games and visiting local shops & restaurants. Everything was perfect, cozy, comfortable, warm. We hated to leave. And we look forward to a return visit. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice get-away. Thank You Lynn & Jim Best Regards, Cindy and familyRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
