  I was a little hesitant at first to stay at vacation home instead of a hotel, but after numerous friends had recommended I give it a try, I was curious. What worried me the most about a vacation house, was that the house would not look like the pictures did or that I would be in a bad location or pay too much money. None of these concerns were necessary with the Brooklyn Mansion. It was even more gorgeous than the pictures showed and immaculately clean! Great big bathroom with 2 sinks (which is necessary with a group). Beautifully decorated. Great patio set up. Very comfortable beds. SUPER hot shower. There were four of us traveling together in my group and we were all equally impressed with how beautiful, clean, and fully functional the place was. We didn't use the kitchen that much, but if you are planning on cooking it is DEFINTELY big enough and easy to navigate with plenty of space for eating in the dining room. The location was great as well! It wasn't right in the middle of a bustling and hip neighborhood, but more in an up and coming neighborhood. We think that is what helped keep the price down. For what we paid, we felt like we got an amazing deal especially compared to what others places were listed at. The J train, which takes you into Manhattan, was a quick walk, only one street away. It also easily connects to any other trains to get to different neighborhoods of Brooklyn. The host, Terrance, was so incredibly accommodating. He was so kind and polite, responded to all my email communications quickly, and was there to welcome us and show us around when we arrived. He even arranged to let us have an early check in! What was really great, was even when we came home late and we were a little loud (keep in mind I was celebrating my 30th birthday with friends) he didn't get upset with us. SORRY again for that! :) The best thing about this property is that there were no keys to deal with, it was an automated code on the door. Very VERY smart for 4 drunk out of towners. :) Oh and the sheets! The sheets were the softest I ever felt. No joke. Would recommend, and would stay at again. Thank you again for everything! Best trip ever and more than we could have asked for.

  Our little family of four enjoyed this third floor unit. There is parking in the back. Nice decor and good tips from owners. Subway stop very close. House is on a very busy boulevard and noise was and issue. A great way to experience New York.

  We expereinced a really great time at the "Brooklyn Mansion". Our host, Terence could not have been more helpfull. The apartment was great and super clean. All the amenities were there. Our family real enjoyed the time we spent there. Getting into Manhattan was a breeze. There is nothing negative I can say about this place.

  I stayed here for two weeks while quickly deciding to travel to NY for New Years. My say was magnificent. The mansion in absolutely gorgeous on the inside and out. I had no complaints and I would definitely stay here again. I recommend this stay to anyone.

  I was pleasantly surprised with my stay in the mansion as I have never rented a house for a vacation before. But this place was perfect and I will absolutely book it again when I return to New York. The suite was huge! With its own kitchen and spacious bathroom, which both were extremely tidy. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. I always had fresh towels and access to the washer and dryer. Best of all the location is walking distance to the subway...perfect.

  My wife and I decided on Saturday morning to get out of town and drive to NY. After a quick look on VRBO we instantly fell in love with The Brooklyn Mansion. Even with just short notice the owner was able to work out the details with us and even accommodate a couple of special requests! Often the pictures and descriptions of rental properties do not really reflect the property but in this case they most certainly did! The house was a mixture of the best of both old and new. We had all the charm and beauty of a heritage property with all the comfort and convenience of newly built home! The location was perfect, a short walk to the subway and from there a very short ride into Manhattan. We never felt unsafe in the neighborhood despite getting home late a couple of times and although the block is vibrant and busy, our sleep was never disturbed by noise. Everything was clean and shiny and you could tell that the owners take pride in their property. Everything was comfortable, the shower was great, lot's of water pressure and tons of hot water! My kids loved the tv and board games and we loved the fantastic kitchen and wonderful beds. The owners were always available to answer questions or give suggestions but never in the way. Before we had kids we would stay with friends or at hotels when we visited the city...now we have a new home in NYC! You can't beat the price or the experience!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  The Mansion was ideal for my adult daughter, wife and I, convenient to our son nearby. We appreciate the hospitality that was extended. Most comfortable accomadations we have enjoyed in severeal trips and we will be back.

  This property is amazing! We were initially impressed by the photos in the listing but the rental is even nicer than the photos! It is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean. We spent most of our time in Manhattan, which was an easy subway ride within close walking distance to the rental. When we were back "home" at the rental, we enjoyed playing darts, chess and cards and relaxing in front of the big TV. The owner was very accomodating and provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It is the ideal way to enjoy New York City with a family because it is close to Manhattan yet it has plenty of room to spread out and relax.

  We recently spent a couple of nights at the Mansion. Our party included me, my wife, and three kids. The accommodations were outstanding - two bedrooms for privacy and a full size pull out couch for extra sleeping. The full size kitchen and dining room table were a bonus as well as the large bathroom and Jacuzzi tub. Had we staid longer we would have done some shopping (or even brought food from home - we drove) and eaten some meals at the house. Having recently staid in Manhattan I can say that a comparable proberty in Manhattan would be astronomical in price. The subway was a five minute walk from the house with easy access to the city. I'd recommend a phone app in order to navigate the subway but all in all it's a fairly easy system and very convenient. We ordered food delivered two nights and ate out in the neighborhood for one meal - very convenient. Terrence - the owner - was great. He was easily accessible and extremely helpful. An added bonus was the on-site parking available at the house - something you would never find in Manhattan. This was our first NYC stay outside of Manhattan - I would definitely do it again and would highly recommend the Mansion.

  Loved our stay in Brooklyn, very warm, friendly welcome on arrival, flat very clean and excellently furnished and equipped, had everything we needed for our stay. Position excellent, 2 mins walk to shops and subway, then only 10mins to Manhattan. We also used the subway to return to JFK airport at the end of our stay which was very quick and easy. Owners very friendly and helpful, I would have no hesitation recommending this property. Cousins family, UK, 3 adults, 2 children

PETS - PETS are not permitted in rental units under any conditions. PROPERTY DAMAGE INSURANCE FEE - A non-refundable property damage insurance fee of $50 is required per reservation 7 days or less. A refund of 50% of the deposit will be returned for the following month if cancellation is made before 30 days prior to arrival. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons. An additional charge or $25.00 per person per night for guests in addition to four (4) persons will be assessed. Any misuse or intentional improper operation of the tub that causes damage will result in financial restitution to be paid by the renter to the owner to repair/replace the tub. The renter will also be responsible for the advertised daily rental costs for every day the suite goes unrented due to repairs being made to the tub. STORM POLICY– STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS – No refunds will be given for storms. Local roads can be very congested and even completely obstructed during a storm (i.e. snow). Although New York City roadways are well maintained, we do encourage all renters to consider weather and even traffic conditions when determining appropriate travel time. We do not refund or prorate rental payments due to late arrivals or inability to travel due to weather conditions. TRAVEL INSURANCE – We highly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance.
