  We have been to Hawaii Several Times -(31) so we truly enjoyed staying at the Ilikai Hotel. When we met Doug, the owner in Hawaii he made us feel like family. The unit location was perfect for us. I did not cook, but the kitchen seemed to have all the utensils you would need. We loved the fireworks on Friday night, the view from the balcony was awesome. I would recommend this property to all my friends and relatives. You will not be disappointed when staying at Doug's properties.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  We just returned from a great trip to Oahu. This condo is in the Ilikia Hotel at the north end of Waikiki where the Waikiki beach starts. You have a great view of the ocean, beach, and the Hilton Lagoon and not even 1 block from them either. The condo is comfortable for 2 (3 if you have a small child) and having a full kitchen is always nice. The place is quiet with a good bar/restaurant down stairs with a view of the harbor and (slightly obscured) view of the ocean. We did not try the restaurant at the top of the hotel but it has good reviews. Some shops and a mini-mart in the lobby along with a coffee shop. You are next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village shops and a 10-15 minute walk to the main drag of Waikiki for some shopping. My only complaint (and we knew about this so it wasn't a surprise) is that parking can be an issue if you have a rental car. In the off peak times, it is not a huge issue but I could see during peak travel times having problems. Plan roughly $18-25/day for parking. *parking not included* ***************************************************************************** We would definitely return and wish we could have stayed longer. ***************************************************************************** Tips: Towels, extra sheets, beach towels included as well as beach chairs, some toys, boards, and snorkel set for 2. Remember to bring soap, shampoo, etc - this was not provided but is normal in my experience.

  The condo is located right on the edge of waikiki (proper) which gave us a very short walk to the beautiful beach where we rented umbrellas, grocery stores, and little shops in the area. All in all the room was everything as advertised and more. What made our stay though was how incredibly accommodating and available the owner was. Our flight was a few hours late getting in and he met us at the room late in the evening and was very kind about the whole thing. One of the previous tenants must have taken the second snorkel set which when asked for he promptly replaced (snorkeling was one of our trip highlights). He helped us before our arrival with questions and recommendations (should we rent a car? restaurant recommendations? etc) and was very prompt with those responses. He was also incredibly gracious when we mixed up our itinerary and had a later than expected checkout. In the end, it was a great trip and I highly recommend the room to anyone interested in visiting Oahu.

  My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a perfect place to stay. Everything needed for a comfortable stay is available in this unit. The views are amazing and picture perfect. The pictures on the site are exactly what you get. The sliding glass doors on the balcony allow for lots of fresh air into the unit which was clean and very tidy. The unit being located in the Ilikai is a plus too - I'm a big Hawaii Five-O fan, and being at the start of Waikiki, we were first to be picked up by the shuttle and the first to be dropped off. Doug was very helpful and friendly. We took advantage of hotel amenities such as the pool, the concierge service for booking activities, the bar and grill and the store off the lobby has items for quick pick ups if you don't have time or want to leave the hotel area. All needs are either in the hotel, or within walking distance. Great place to stay.

  Owner response: This beautiful couple had great timing for as soon as they arrived to the Unit, the Friday night fireworks began just outside the private lanai and the loud thundering boom started their 2nd honeymoon off literally with a BANG! We're always so happy when we get wonderful customers like these who take good care of our place and express their appreciation for our rigorous efforts to make nice private hotel suites that set the stage for our guests to enjoy their wonderful Hawaii memories to last a lifetime.

  Hi Doug, It was such a wonderful vacation, we had. What a great place! It is so convenient to do many things especially close to the beach, go shopping and near The Bus stop. We loved the balcony where we had an amazing time and The Friday night fireworks over the lagoon next door were incredible. We also enjoyed it from the balcony. Thank you Doug. Hope see you soon.

  We were thoroughly delighted! Everything was as advertised and the 'extras' left by other guests were a very welcome addition (beach chairs, etc.) It was clean and looked after and they even were painting the outside of the building when we were there. Everything was close to the building and the fireworks on Friday night were spectacular. A wonderful experience.
