I did not find that the listing photo accurately reflected the appearance of this property. The apartment is in an older building that the owners are renovating for a B & B. The outside of the property does not have an inviting appearance due to this. There is also a film of construction dust inside and we felt it could have been cleaner in general. The bedroom contains a double bed that we did not find overly comfortable. At this point I would not recommend the property but hopefully the owners will make some necessary improvements. The Slocan area itself is a charming place to visit with hiking trails and clean lakes and rivers.

Owner response: It goes without saying that once the renovations to the front of the building are completed the building will be more pleasing to the eye! To allow time for cleaning, all construction ceases the day before a customer is to occupy the apartment. The apartment, which is at the rear of the building,will be clean & comfortable.

About the owner: I retired in 2011 after 40 years as a electronics technician. My partner, Carol, & I have now decided to try a Vacation Rental. Although the apartment is completed, the outside of the building has not been renovated as yet.
