  Beautiful, big Montana home. Very well maintained. The owners her very helpful. When we asked for a baby gate installed at the top of the stairs, they were happy to oblige. It was a nice touch to have the welcoming food basket. It has been about 6 months ago since we stayed there, but I only recall positive things about our time in this property. You really can't go wrong staying here.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

  My husband and two kids recently vacationed in Montana. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions about the location and upon our arrival, we had bagels, milk and juice waiting for us. We loved Glacier Park and did hiking (once with llamas), white water rafting and zip lining, drove the Going to the Sun road. Downtown Whitefish has lots of choices to eat at. This was our first time in Montana and we loved it! Very beautiful.

  Everything about the house was even better than expected. House is convenient to town and not too far from the Glacier National Park and the Waterton area of Alberta Canada. We would definitely recommend visiting these areas in June and July. Saw lots of wildlife and spectacular scenery.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  We could not have had a more wonderful vacation in this beautiful home! The pictures on line do not do it justice! Our family was soooo comfortable! We actually did not leave the mountain the entire week, except to attend the torh light Christmas parade and ski. Carrie was so pleasant and personal to work with. When she learned we would be having toddler grandchildren attend, she actually had a child gate installed at the top of the stairs for safety. When we arrived Christmas Eve, she even saw to it that we were greeted with a beautiful decorated and lit Christmas tree! Not to mention bagels, freshfruit and doughnuts for our first breakfast! The kitchen was wonderfully stocked if fact we were able to to put together a Christmas Eve dinner with all the fixings, very easily. Sandra the maintaninence person was very attentive and checked on us regulary to see if we needed anything. Initially a drain for the sink was missing and we contacted her for fear the sink could get clogged, and she brought us a stopper in a very short time. My husband and I slept wonderful in the master bedroom and are dying to know where they purchased the mattress. The dining room table was perfect for meals games and puzzles. We had a wonderful time sledding and making snowman on the lower driveway. And yes,we were successful in getting two of our three year old grandchildren up on skiis. We had a ball at the pool and jucuzzi and stayed there for hours at a time. All in all it was an amazing week full of memories and we thank Carrie and Jason for both making it all possible. Hopefully we can return again.

  We just spent three nights at this beautiful home in Ptarmigan Village, and loved every single thing about it. The owner, Carrie, was extremely responsive in all our interactions, and our security deposit was credited back to us quickly without needing to be requested. This is a really lovely, deluxe home (seems brand new) that has been furnished with a decorator's eye, with incredibly comfortable furniture and great accessories. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware; even better, it has a good supply of new condiments and basic spices. Best: a lovely set-up for breakfast was waiting for us, which was a terrific surprise since we arrived at 10 pm and hadn't stopped for groceries. Coffee cake, bagels, fruit, cream for coffee (and there was even coffee in a kitchen canister, too) -- we didn't need to run out in the morning. The food was supplied by the caretaker Sandra, who left a printed note with her number in case anything was needed. Sandra wound up ringing the bell around 11 am the next morning, to see if we needed anything. It turns out that the rec room TV wasn't putting out any volume (except for video games) -- so Sandra's young son came in the house and fixed it! I have to say that none of the homes we stayed in after Whitefish came with such an equipped kitchen, and I missed this house. The beds are deliciously comfortable, the TVs work well and are positioned just where you want them, the bathrooms are great -- this house is more luxurious than the photos indicate. My only complaint is that we didn't have enough time to take advantage of Ptarmigan Village's amenities: tennis, pool, outdoor sauna. We were out every day at Glacier or in Whitefish, and I would have liked more time just to relax in the house, sit on the deck and use the facilities. One thing not mentioned in this listing: Ptarmigan Village has its own access to Whitefish Lake, with a dock. We did go see it and spent a little time there, skipping stones into the lake. Ptarmigan Village is a condo community nearly all the way up the hill to Big Mountain, the ski resort in Whitefish. What an amazing location for skiers! It's not too far to drive to Whitefish either, and we enjoyed activities up at the ski resort (the Walk in the Treetops, the alpine slide; didn't do the zip line but it looks fun). Whitefish itself was a find: good restaurants, the Alpine Theater Project (Broadway pros), 40 min. to Glacier. We'll be back, hopefully!
