"Just Beachy" is a newly remodeled oceanside beach cottage in the charming village of Rodanthe. This prime location is a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States. Walk down in the morning and see the pelicans flying and diving for fish, while the dolphins play in the waves.
Surfers, boogie boarders, and kiteboarders come from all around the world to catch the wonderful waves and wind here in Rodanthe. Hatteras Island has been a destination for fishermen who kept it a secret for years. Now you can come and enjoy all the adventures that the Outer Banks has to offer!
This cottage has just been remodeled inside with new appliances in the fully-equipped kitchen. The rest of the house boasts new furniture and beds for a comfortable stay.
Enjoy sound views from the deck while enjoying your morning coffee. The sunset over the water is breathtaking!
A large hammock offers a comfortable spot to enjoy a book or to catch a nap before dinner.
Though everyone loves the beach in the summer, it can be a wonderful destination any time of the year. Spring and fall bring great fishing. Late fall and winter offer bird watchers a chance to see many migratory birds in one location. Winter also offers solitude and shell walks on the beach.

- Three streets over is the Rodanthe Fishing Pier where you can see dolphins, huge rays, sea turtles, and pull up spot, bluefish, spanish mackeral, flounder, or maybe even a king mackeral, cobia, or shark! This pier was part of the setting for the movie "Nights in Rodanthe," with Richard Gere and Diane Lane. A convenience store, coffee shop, video rental, pizza shop, and water sports rentals are a short walk away. The historical Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station, playground and basketball court is .5mi North.

We bought this beach cottage as a place for our children to make memories of summer vacations with their cousins and friends. Every year we have more fun than the last!
Why the Owner Chose Rodanthe
Rodanthe is one of the few uncrowded, non-commercial beaches in the US. Growing up in New England meant crowded beaches and traffic jams to get there for me. My husband lived in Alabama and made an annual family trip to the Florida Gulf. We both loved the beach and could not believe the beauty and adventures that we found when we moved to North Carolina and visited the Outer Banks. Even during the peak season, the beaches are still uncrowded.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The short walk to beach, pier, shops, and restaurants makes this location a winner for your vacation. July 5, just returned from a stay at Just Beachy. Boogie boarding was superb, did some snorkeling on a crystal clear water day, caught croaker with every cast from the pier at sunset with the nephews; they saw their first ray that was the size of a small car, and even fought one for a few minutes. Bought a piece of art for the cottage at Pea Island Art Gallery.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised upon arrival to "Just Beachy"! It was very clean and had the perfect cooking utensils, for anyone who loves to cook! It was very personable, in that I was able to contact the owner myself. Having rented through realty in past years, I would highly recommend going the route of rent by owner because we definitely noticed a higher level in quality.

We had such a wonderful week in Rodanthe in this little red cottage. Just heavenly! HUGE kitchen! A bike ride away from coffee, food, and beach. Biked to soundside to watch the sunset every night. Loved the outdoor shower. Just fell in love with the house as a whole. Loved not having cable or internet as a distraction! Comfy beds, lovely decorations, everything! Will stay again someday!
Owner response:We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Luckily, the little red cottage made it through Hurricane Irene with no damage, and will be ready for guests again soon. We just added an I-pod docking station and CD player to make the stay more enjoyable for music lovers. Also new, a family-size crock pot that will make preparing dinner easier and leave more time for beach-combing, bike-riding, and enjoying those beautiful Hatteras Island sunsets.
