Purchased during the Summer of 2010 as a brand-new dream beach house, I spent the past year putting the finishing touches on this immaculate and beautiful East Beach home. Very large rooms, all with private baths.
Rental of this home includes use of all of the toys that your family needs for the perfect vacation: a street-legal 6 passenger electric car; a Primo Grill (like a Big Green Egg but even bigger and better!); Gas Grill, a private swimming pool; bicycles (4 NEW adult bikes, 1 is a small for the smaller adult, older child) beach chairs; beach toys; beach towels; water fall in the pool; and coolers. No need to cram your SUV with all of your beach gear; I have it all here!
Located on 13th Street on East Beach on St. Simons, this beach house has private parking, and is a less-than-two-minute walk to the white sands of the beach. In fact, the house is situated in a unique part of East Beach where the beach is always present and accessible, no matter whether the tide is high or low. As a former beach-house renter, I would advise you to verify that wherever you are renting has easy and constant access to a beach, away from the crowded public beach and public beach parking.
After renting over 8 houses on East Beach and having less-than-stellar experiences, I decided to purchase my own house and rent it out when I could not vacation. Older homes that we rented on East Beach had cleanliness issues, and frequently smelled of mold and mustiness. Most homes had poor quality sheets and other various issues (e.g., inaccessible beaches, a broken air conditioner ,etc.). I spared no details in this house, e.g., premium linens, nice towels, high-end appliances, premium flat panel tvs with HDTV. You will find this house the cleanest, nicest rental for the price on East Beach.
Bedrooms Setup:
1) Upstairs Master: Huge Room with King Bed, Dresser, Entertainment center with 52" Flat Panel HDTV. His and Her Vanities, Large Tub, Giant Limestone tiled shower with Seat.
2) Upstairs Bedroom 1: Two (2) Queen Beds, Dresser, nightstand, 32 inch HDTV. Own bathroom with granite vanities, shower and tub
3) Upstairs Bedroom 2: Two (2) Queen Beds, Dresser, nightstand, 32 inch HDTV. Own bathroom with granite vanities, shower and tub
4) Downstairs Bedroom: One (1) King Bed, dresser, 32 inch HDTV, Own bathroom with granite vanities, shower and tub
Mattresses are all premium mattresses.
Outdoors: Private pool, with privacy fencing, waterfall for sound and fun for the kids. Deck around pool. Outdoor stainless shower with hot and cold water. Primo charcoal grill (Like a Big Green Egg, but bigger). If you know what this is, you know the food cooked on it is amazing. Gas Grill for those not adventurous to cook with charcoal.
Will include use of a street legal electric cart. It is brand new, seats 6, cruises at 20-25mph, and is an excellent way to manuever the island. Seat belts, roll cage. Electric Cars rent for 200+ dollars a day on St. Simons. I will include the use of this car free with rental (with a waiver signed, and agreement to pay for damages incurred).
Kitchen: The kitchen has a Miele Masterchef Double oven, Miele Microwave, Thermadore induction cooktop with island hood, and tons of storage and counter space. Pots, Pans, and utensils to cook anything. 48 inch refrigerator/freezer. 2 more huge freezers and refrigerators in the garage.
I guarantee you will love the quality, and cleanliness of the house. I have a lot of experience renting houses personally, and know the disappointment of renting a bad beach house. This is house a PERFECT beach getaway for St. Simons.
A huge bonus is the electric car, free with use, and nice quality bikes.

This house is everything the description says. It is by far the cleanest rental home I've ever seen and the furniture and appliances are top-notch. I was there on a writing retreat and the neighborhood is lovely and quiet. The house is within a four minute walk of the beach which goes on forever, plus the home comes with a pool that is in excellent working order. All of the owner's instructions were easy to follow. This was a perfect rental house!

The house was exactly as advertised. Great location, only one block from the beach, free use of golf cart, professional appliances, large bedrooms. Great open floor plan with screened porch and pool. A nice touch is that any small problems can be remedied by owner's father who lives in the area. First timer to SSI and will definitely return.

This is the perfect SSI vacation home. It has everything! Lots of room for everyone! Celebrated my 50th birdthday here with lots of family. Very accomodating for small children; we really appreciated the high chair, baby gates, portable cribs and the booster seats for the golf cart. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen amazing! Love that this home is so spacious. Everyone in our group was so impressed with all the extras that come with this home. The owner is very attentive with any questions or problems that may arise. The complimentary bottle of wine was nice too! Only recommendation would be for more lounge chairs by the pool. The bed downstairs was a little high for my mother to get on and off of easily. Thank you so much for letting us experience the good life in your home, it's the best : )

We have 4 lounge chairs out now on the pool deck, and a table with 4 chairs and an umbrella. It was always my intention to add more furniture out there. Great house, wonderful amenities, perfect location! We enjoyed our stay in SSI and were very pleased with the house. The house is clean and well maintained. The island offers MANY options for dining out, but if you decide to stay in for dinner, kitchen is stocked with everything! This was by far the nicest beach house we have stayed at. Everything was impeccable - from the appliances, linens to the golf cart you could drive all around the island. We absolutely loved the layout and all the space. We were there with 2 kids and 4 adults and we were very comfortable. East Beach is a wonderful area to stay in as well. You are so close to the beach and it's a beautiful neighborhood to walk around in. We also loved having the bikes. St. Simons is very biker friendly and that was always fun to do. Highly recommended!

We rented the house for seven days and were more than pleased with our stay. The house is in an ideal location, cozy and quiet, protected from the sound of the wind, but a close walk to the beach. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably cleaned. The pool in the back and the nearby shower to rinse off were a nice perk to have after a long day at the beach. The house was well stocked and the owner was easily reached if we had any questions. Board games, multiple large televisions, speakers with iPod hookup, and the outdoor grill composed a complete package of amenities. We definitely recommend this to future renters; we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the house.

50 & Fabulous Weekend

Had a fabulous time in this house. I celebrated my 50th birthday with 6 girlfriends and had a blast. The house is beautifully and simply furnished with a very clean, very bright motif that's perfect for the beach. The kitchen appliances are very modern -- for those who are not tech savvy, they may take a day to figure out how to work them. Thankfully with 8 people, we were able to figure them out. Cooking and hanging out in the kitchen/living room area was the best. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all great, and the upstairs master bed and bath is very spacious and gorgeous. Many times the girls and I would hang out there -- all 7 of us even did a yoga session there -- that's how spacious the master bedroom is. The front and back porches were great for early morning meditation and writing in our journals. It was a bit too cool to get in the pool, but we're told it will be heated by next spring. While we couldn't see the beach from the house as I'd thought, it was only about a 3-minute leisurely walk to the beach at the end of the street. The only thing I would add is one more extra roll of toilet paper in the bathrooms -- especially when the guests are a bunch of women. :-) We had a blast and hope to return in 2012!! I've researched a lot of houses on St. Simons and this was one of the best on paper, and didn't disappoint when we got there. When we first opened the front door, everyone said "OOOOOHHHH!!!!" While there we also rode the bicycles, had the wonderful Sunday Brunch at the King and Prince Resort and had a tea tasting at the Serenity House Tea Society in Redfern Village. Everyone was very friendly. It was a birthday weekend I'll never forget! The perfect Girlfriends Getaway!!

We stayed here over the Labor Day holiday weekend and it was perfect. Loved having the bikes and golfcart available to ride into the Village. The house is a few doors down from the beach. We walked along the beach every day. The house is nicely decorated and everything is NEW and so clean. Plenty of parking for our clan. I can't say enough about how roomy it felt. From sitting on the rocking chair front porch, to reclining by the pool or siting on the back screened porch playing cards, there was enough space for a crowd without feeling cramped. We loved the well stocked kitchen. So far the best place we have ever stayed on St. Simons Island.

In a time where nothing seems like it should be and trust is only a word but seldom has meaning, out pops an experience like this. Absolutely 100% perfect in every way. The house is beyond compare, it is flawless from top to bottom. It takes a lot of courage to build a home and furnish it like the owners have done and then let strangers share it. Simply the best vacation home we have ever stayed in at St Simons. Clean ,comfortable , spotless, charming, well equipped, dust free,everything is brand new and well kept. The location is perfect.
