Stayed here last summer, and had such a fantastic time I plan to return again this year! This beautiful little cottage was exactly what I was looking for; close to everything Lopez has to offer, yet secluded enough to feel completely cut off from the world. Just such a beautiful space, it was hard to leave! Though close to many of the islands best restaurants, we chose to stay in one night to cook dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and eat while watching the water lap gently at the side of the house. Such a fantastic experience, we can't wait to return to 'our' spot, and explore more of what Lopez has to offer! We highly recommend this rental!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Staying here was just a dream. We were able to put our kayaks right into the water and explore Fisherman Bay, and felt like we were totally secluded even though the Village is a convenient walk from the front door. Saw bald eagles, seals and blue heron just sitting on the porch, it is practically its own wildlife tour! Gorgeous sunsets, and a fabulous beach to walk on. The cottage itself was very, very clean and well-appointed, with a full kitchen, bathroom with washer/dryer, and unlike other places we have stayed on the island, the owners take care of trash and recycling, a much appreciated perk! We would come back in a heartbeat, and highly recommend this place (and don't forget to visit the delicious Bay Cafe restaurant, located just steps away!). A true Island Paradise, and an unforgettable experience.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I can hardly say enough good things about this cottage. It's cozy without feeling cramped, and well-appointed without losing the rustic feel of the island. The view from outside the windows simply can't be beat, and at night the ocean comes right up to the foundation. You can go kayaking easily, or walk into Lopez Village, only a few steps away. Great location, awesome living space. Totally worth a visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Steps from all Lopez Village has to offer and at the water's edge, the cabin is efficiently planned with two bedrooms, bath, kitchen, and living room. The whole cabin was spotless and the modern appliances worked well. The photos really don't do this place justice - you'll be hard-pressed to find a better place to watch a sunset. The owners are also very active in the community and knowledgeable about the San Juans...have them tell you about the best hiking spots and best roads for bikes. I hope to return soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We have lived on Lopez Island since 1996. We enjoy boating, gardening and hiking in this island paradise. We live on the same property as the cottage, yet because the cottage is set into the hill below the house, it feels very separate & private.
Why the Owner Chose Lopez Island:
We built the cottage in 2006 on the site of a pre-1930 cabin that was grandfathered in and meant we could rebuild right at the water's edge. Although the cottage is small, it is beautifully designed, with the feel of being on a boat.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
This unique location allows all the amenities of being in the Village, with a very private feel.
