  Cecile and Jorg have the most amazing property and are the ultimate hosts. They were there when we arrived as tropical storm Debbie was sweeping through, and they were trying to dry out the cushions on the outdoor furniture!! The location is perfect, everything you need is within a mile of the home. The home itself was clean and had everything you need, including welcome bottles of wine and chocolates! Cecile is an animal lover so we brought the dog, Malibu, who loved the vacation as much as we did. She got to know all the neighbors on her walks and everyone was so friendly. Really fantastic neighborhood. The pool is huge and there is a barbecue outdoors, so once the storm had passed, we relaxed, cooked outside and watched beautiful sunsets over the water. I really can't think of anything that would have made this a more relaxing or enjoyable vacation. Thank you so much Cecile and Jorg, needless to say I have kept your number and will be visiting with you again soon. I've recommended this home to everyone at work, and my family in the UK also! Thank you so much again, Gina, Mark and Malibu!

  We were fortunate enough to have stayed here from April 5 – 13, 2013. Cecile and Jorge were wonderful to deal with and always responded to our questions quickly and efficiently. We brought along our 2-year old Westie (Henry) and he, along with us, all had welcome treats waiting upon arrival! Besides feeling totally welcomed and relaxed, we found the house location to be exceptional for accessing golf, shopping, and dining out; and we really enjoyed strolling through the beautiful neighbourhood twice daily with Henry. The lanai/pool was our favourite hang-out. We floated in the pool, watched the sunrise each day, soaked up the sun and enjoyed seeing boats going up and down the canal. This house had everything we wanted and more. We plan to return to Cape Coral again and when we do, we certainly hope that Cecile and Jorge’s “Paradise Found” is available to rent again as our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer.

  We were anxious to secure this rental for three reasons: the close proximity of the house to the open water of the river, the glowing 4 and 5 star reviews and the pictures which made the house look inviting. Sadly, upon arrival, only the proximity to the water fully met our expectations. The owners were pleasant and responsive when we contacted them to advise of our dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the kitchen and a problem with tiny bugs. We wish we could give a better review but we feel that future potential renters should be given some details of our experience so that they can be fully informed. We do have points of comparison. Just prior to this property, we had rented another home which was the vintage of this house and also had a pool and was on a canal. However, that property was in immaculate condition and totally comfortable by our standards for a similar price. This house has been updated but not professionally. It lacks proper window treatments for privacy, has inadequate lighting and no towel racks in the Master Bath. The slider to the lanai from the MBR did not lock but the door was almost impossible to open beyond a foot anyway. There was some debris around the perimeter of the house and the deck at the dock was far from a pleasant place to sit. In removing the sheets from the MBR to wash them as requested, we were disturbed to find that the mattress pad and the pillows were stained and badly soiled. This was not the experience we had in the previous home and not our experience in other rentals prior to that. In our opinion, 4 stars indicates very good and 5 stars is excellent, so we have rated it as 2 stars because we consider it only as fair except for it's location on the water. HomeAway is not responsible for the condition of this home and we do not fault their online service. We found their website to be user friendly and they form of payment convenient.

  Owner response: Once in a great while guests will come and for whatever reason they try hard to find problems. We do not offer discounts when this happens as we feel strongly that our property is very clean, tastefully decorated with a gorgeous view and we have many great reviews to show for it. Cecile was devastated by this review because we really go out of our way to satisfy our guests. We understand the importance of your vacation. This particular couple pleaded with us for an early arrival, I think because of their dog. We let them in at 12 noon instead of the normal 4pm. The previous guest left that day at 10 am. To be agreeable we rushed our cleaning people to be done in 2 hours to accommodate these new guests. For a thank you, they gave us a bad review. We do get tiny, minuscule little ants at times when guest leave sweets on the kitchen counter, we regularly treat for this and it has never been a problem, we do not have window treatment on the 18ft sliding doors in the living room because of the fantastic view and it is private since it faces the wide canals. There are blinds on all the bedroom windows ,as well as the living room doors and dining room windows which face the front of the house, and finally someone left the master bedroom pillows out on the loungers during a sun shower, there were water stains as a result, and no time to replace them, so they doubled up the pillowcases, we purchased new ones for the next guest. Guilty on the no towel racks in the master bath, this bath has been redone in marble and new towel racks did not get installed on time. As for debris outside, there are patio blocks and a wheelbarrow on the side of the building, we are planning a patio outside one of the guest room. We do the best we can to give our guests the best possible experience, sometimes it just doesn't work out. Jorg & Cecile Wein

  What a fabulous home. We just loved it. Very clean and well maintained . We spent most of our vacation in the house and pool.Very comfortable . Quiet neighborhood .We really enjoyed the spacious and relaxing stay.We did enjoy the view too.Thank you Cecile and Jorg!!!

  We had our first stay in Cape Coral and also our first Florida vacation in a holiday home instead of hotels and we never want anything else anymore! This house is so well stocked with everything we needed for a fabulous family vacation! Our boys 11 and 8 loved the pool for an everyday private swim!! Also having a boat in front of the house is pure luxury and helps improving the vacation (sadly enough there was a lot of wind the first four days). The last days of our stay we saw nearby dolphins during our boating trip. The boys used the garden to play with the ball and this is no issue at all because there are few cars to pass bye. We found some great restaurants in the direct neighborhood (rib city, Iguana Mia). We will definitely come back again, maybe next year…

  We just left Cape Coral and found our new Paradise vacation destination!! This house is so well stocked with everything you will need for a fabulous family vacation! My kids 13 and 17 just told us today that this was their favorite vacation of all time!! They have been to Disney, Mexico, and Holland to name a few places! Relaxing and fun something new every day, our daily boating trips we saw dolphins every time!! Cecil and Jorg are the best and this place is too!! Thank you again for a memory we will not soon forget!!

  As a recent guest in this home I was pleasantly surprised at the great location and view. It is in a very quiet area of Cape Coral but with quick access to all amenities. Many mornings were spent with our coffee outside overlooking the canal and watching the fish jump! Afternoons in this beautiful house found us in and about the large pool enjoing the Florida sun with our son and dogs.The pool area is very spacious with plenty of seating and lounging areas and includes a pass through from the kitchen which was well used by us! The home itself is clean, airy and equipped with all the comforts of home for the making of a fabulous holiday. Owners Cecile & Jorg really make the stay special by being 2 of the nicest people we have met and by trying to resolve any issues that may arise in a personal, timely manner. We can't wait to return!

  I have been to Cape Coral numerous times, but this was my first experience renting a house. I couldn't be happier with my decision and the property I rented. When I first walked in the door I felt right at home. The house is decorated in a Florida style. All rooms are large and very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the lanai admiring the perfect, tranquil view of the canal the property sits on. My favorite part of the house was the incredible sunrise viewed especially from the master bedroom and living room. It was perfect! I would recommend this property for pretty much anyone who wants to get away for some peace and tranquility. The neighborhood is very quiet with very little traffic. It's ideal for walks around the area or taking a bike ride. The property is very close to the Yacht Club. The Weins are truly special people! I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality while we were staying at their home. I will definitely rent this property again in the future!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, sightseeing.

  We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful get away with an access to the water. The owners were very gracious and helpful. We really enjoyed the pool area and the grille. The boat was great for a morning on the water. The area had many restaurants and shopping areas to choose from. We would definitely consider coming again!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers.
