My family and I had planned a mini weekend vacation to the Leavenworth area and found this cabin. it was affordable and cheaper than some hotels in town for the four of us. Upon arrival at the cabin, snow was everywhere which was a nice surprise especailly since Leavenworth was bone dry. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking and more than enough space for the four of us. Plus, we had a bed and so did each of the kids. The wood stove kept us nice and toasty (too toasty one night thank you to my husband). The best surprise had to be the lights around the property. It was an "ahhh" moment when he lit the dance floor and gypsy cabin. We played in the snow into the wee hours and enjoyed being able to walk with property without worry. The sauna was great and the hot tub was, too. There's lots of neat and interesting items placed throughout the cabin and property to keep the curious occupied. Even the "sculpture" outside was fun, well, not so much for my daughter, but my husband and I enjoyed it. Love that the cabin is only 20 or so minutes from Leavenworth and has plenty of room. Hope to enjoy this cabin again. PERKS: Lots of towels Washer and Dryer Wood Stove Large bathroom Lights everywhere (fabulous touch)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, pet owners.

The cabin is beautifully nestled up against the mountains! Big trees and lovely landscape surround the house! Definitely set up perfectly for a wedding or party, though it was just my wife and I. Hot tub was wonderful to use after a long day of hiking on several close by trails. Merrit Lake trail was our favorite. The layout of the sleeping arrangements in the cabin as noted by other reviewers is different. The 'Master"bed is upstairs with two other twin beds in the same room. So certainly not private master, but super comfy mattress and sheets! The kitchen could use some minor touch ups. There were only 2 very large bowls for soup. Pots and Pans were pretty worn out. And the lighting was in need of repair and possibly a woman's touch for improved atmosphere. Lots of firewood and stayed super coozy with the wood stove, and even when the stove went out the baseboard heat helped keep the cabin comfortable until I got the fire going again. Really enjoyed our time there and will certainly come back for another time! Looking forward to using this as a long ski weekend cabin (as Im sure the owners love to do as well). Thanks for making your place available.Owner response: Hi Patrick, Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad you had a great time. We have a shopping trip to IKEA in the works. Best Wishes, Jack and Erin

We rented this cabin for my daughters wedding. Unbeknownst to us, that amount is only for two people (which the website did not state when we rented it), we were charged an additional per person charge after the first two, PLUS charged for every wedding guest, PLUS a porta-potty. The owner was contacted with the information regarding the wedding size (approximately 40 people), date, etc and NEVER mentioned any of the additional cost. However, that being said, my daughter really wanted the wedding at this particular cabin, so we sucked it up and rented it. When we met the owner, he stated that he had been married at this same cabin and had approximately 350 guests so he could accommodate our wedding size. He assured us that there was ample parking as he also owned the cabin in front of this one (within about 200 feet walking distance). He also assured us that the cabin slept 10 people comfortably. Upon arriving at the cabin for our stay, we found out that it will sleep 10 people if you want 2 people to sleep on a futon (which is on the floor, outside and on the deck) and someone to sleep on the couch. You can sleep 4 people upstairs, in the loft, should two of you be under the height of 5 foot tall. Needless to say, 3 of our guests had to find other accommodations. The parking was a joke and we could only park about 10 cars if you parked on the road and in the ditch. The additional parking he told us about managed to fit two cars. I'm not entirely sure how he parked the cars of 350 people. A friend of his showed up at the cabin, on our second day there, bursting into the cabin without knocking or introduction. My husband, luckily, was there, as the rest of us were in town. The friend stated that the owner talked to us about catering the wedding so he was there to see if we needed help. We had informed the owner prior to us arriving, that the catering was taken care of. Evidently manners and communication do not run between the two. The owner agreed, prior to our stay, that should the number of overnight guests, as well as wedding guests, differ than what we had initially agreed upon, we would settle the difference after the wedding. It took him 44 days to refund me the money he owed us, of which he only paid part of the actual amount.Owner response: Hi Traci, thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you had so many issues at your daughters wedding. In the past the few times we have had any issues with our guest stay they have contacted us and we have been able to work them out, I would suggests this approach in the future as it might make your rental experience a more positive one. Warmest regards, Jack and Erin

My family and I stayed at this property this past weekend. The property is stunning, tranquil, peaceful with flowers and butterflies everywhere. I was disappointed in the "2 bedroom" description. There is no actual "bedroom" in the main house. Only a loft with 3 beds. Then what I am assuming is the "2nd bedroom" was the gypsy wagon that is a ways from the main house. In my mind a bedroom is a room where there is a door that shuts, not an open loft, exposed to the main house (where all the fun noise takes place from games, food, etc.). This made naps and night time difficult for my 2 year old as no matter where we were in the house, she could hear us. If you are OK with sleeping with your friends and/or family within close ear shot of each other then you will be fine. The beauty of the property did made up for the misleading description of "2 bedrooms".Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Dear Denise, Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry you found the description misleading. I have posted some new pictures that might better show an accurate depiction of the layout of our home. Thanks once again, Jack and Erin
