This was our first VRBO experience, and hopefully it didn't completely spoil us for future rentals! We rented this house for our anniversary weekend/last-vacation-before-baby trip and are so glad we did. Why would you want to stay at one of the local hotels when you have the comfort of this gem available to you? Very clean, modern, and full of amenities (games, movies) that make it a great place to stay... especially if you have a somewhat rainy weekend like we did. It is only a 5 minute walk south to the main beach, coffee shop, and Pelican Brewery. The trail that heads north from the property through the state park and to the beach can be extended into a loop by walking south once you get to the beach, and going over the giant sand dune to the main beach. We had a lot of fun and definitely hope to rent this place again on our next visit!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a great two days at this lovely home in Pacific City. It is on our list of recommends to friends and family as we would definitely return! It is obvious the owners took great care and thought when furnish this beach home. We loved being about to take a short hike to the beach or use the nature trail that heads north from the property. It is also a very short walk to town, Pelican Pub or the Market are both a 10 minute walk at most. The house has a nice back patio for morning coffee or for grilling dinner in the evening. The website photos don't do the place justice...it is so much more in person! The owners are very helpful (with emails, notes and suggestions), refunded our deposit in just a couple days and were quick to welcome us back....hopefully that will be in our near future!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is the perfect little getaway spot in Pacific. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, coffee shop etc. the place is cozy with a fireplace and so comfortable to soak into if the weather is rainy and cold. The kitchen makes it easy to go and buy some groceries and stay in. We loved our stay and will absolutely be back. Very clean! Thanks so much Mark and Karen!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My friend and I stayed 2 nights in this beautiful home. It was clean and well propotioned, modern and comfortable. It has all the amenities that you'd have in your own home. Close to a wonderful hiking path and the beach. We'd love to stay there again. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. The townhome is very clean and modern. It was within walking distance of the beach down the road or via a woodsy hike through a trail that started right next to the property. It is also a short walk to Pelican Pub and Stimulus espresso cafe. We were able to spend the days outside and return in the evening to a nice fire that started with the flip of a switch and an evening of cable/movies. The photos actually don't do this place justice as it was much nicer in person! The owners were very quick at responding to any questions we had and were very helpful at all times. We had the opportunity to meet them on the beach before realizing they were the owners of the property and they are very nice people! We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Pacific City and I would highly recommend it!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

My wife and I needed a getaway for the weekend, and stumbled upon this gorgeous lower-unit duplex 1 bedroom that was available. The owners were very easy to work with, and booking the facility through VRBO was super slick. I especially appreciate the credit card payments (and refunding of the security deposit) this owner utilizes...a plus for me. We received a very detailed and helpful email from the owner immediately after booking, telling us the code to get in, some helpful information about the property, nearby attractions, restaurants, and much more. Once we got there, we were pleasantly surprised - the pictures are enticing and get you hooked on this place, but you have to visit and stay to truly understand how great this spacious 1 bedroom rental really is. The kitchen is updated, well appointed, and has everything you need, including extra condiments in the fridge, non-stick pans for eggs in the morning, and everything in between. The owners have really provided everything, with backups, for someone to walk in with a bag of clothes, some food, and little else. The living room is great, with a comfortable couch, throw pillows for crashing on the floor with a bowl of popcorn, large flat-screen TV above a roaring gas fireplace, and HD tv...we were so happy the TV service carried the Beaver football game too! The bed was very comfortable, with tons of extra blankets and pillows in the closet, and a door to the back patio and BBQ. What a great setup!! The location is what made this rental so great. While we opted to avoid the rain and high winds on the beach, we took advantage of the proximity this rental has to Pelican Brewery and walked to dinner each night. It also made a nice stroll in the morning to the little coffee shop at the Inn. While not directly on the beach, nor with a view of the ocean, this rental is so close to everything a couple needs, you won't know the difference, nor have to pay top dollar. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing weekend. Don't look any further - just reserve your time at this amazing, updated 1 bedroom right now!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had a great time in this lovely, well appointed condo. Location was great. The short trek through the woods to the top of the bluff looking down on the Cape is a must - take a picnic lunch or coffee and warm chocolate chip scones for breakfast! Highly recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A great place to stay in Pacific City. Well appointed, comfortable, and incredibly clean - it lacks for nothing. Quick and easy access to the south beach to watch the dory boats, wander through the tide pools, or explore the cape. Or, take the trail to the beach north of the cape for a less crowded experience - about a 15 minute walk. For a great day trip do the Three Capes Scenic Drive - incredible scenery!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our 3 night stay for a family of 4 was wonderful! The home is clean, well-maintained, and close to town and the beach. It's obvious that great attention is paid to the details of making the home comfortable and convenient for travelers (toiletries are provided, as well as laundry detergent, and so on). We enjoyed walking to both sides of the Cape--accessing it from the town area and from the forest trail. Our kids loved climbing the dunes and rocks, enjoyed sand boarding, and were happy to search the tide pools for various creatures. We even saw a spouting whale. This was the perfect home for our first VRBO experience!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: We designed and built the beach house which was finished in 2010. It is a duplex and we live in the upstairs unit. We love the combination wooded seclusion and beach living.
Why the Owner Chose Pacific City:
To us, Pacific City is the perfect, off the beaten path, beach spot. Not typical of the 101 strip-mall beach communities. The house is a quick walk up from the main beach and tucked behind the Cape. Close enough to have easy access, but far enough away to avoid the bustle.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Quiet and secluded. Clean and comfortable. Fully featured. Secluded trail from property to North side of the Cape, through the State Natural Area. Perfect for families with small children, or romantic couples that want to spread out. It feels like home.
