Welcome to our second home we call 'The Gorgia Peach'
The Georgia Peach was built in the 1920's when Big Bear Lake was a roaring gold mining and resort area. In the 80's the Peach had some major additions including a master bedroom with bath and a garage which doubled it's size. The Peach is located on Georgia Street, arguably one of the most beautiful streets in Big Bear Lake.
At the turn of the last century when Big Bear Lake was a gold boom town, Georgia Street was close enough to the town (now the Village area) for the men to walk to and from, but far enough away that the law didn't care what went on. It is said that back in the 1920's and 1930's that Georgia street was where the rowdy crowd of Big Bear partied. Our Georgia Peach still sits at the end of this now quiet historic street next to the National forest.
The peach is within walking distance to most of the fun spots in Big Bear. From the Peach, you can walk to the slopes, lake and the village.
You will first notice the Beauty of Georgia street when you turn on it from the boulevard to head up to the Peach. The tall trees that flank it on both sides block the sun in areas to give the area a storybook feel. When the winds blow, the trees sway and it sounds like the forest itself is speaking to you.
When first arriving at the Peach you will notice how quiet it is except for a bird or two, then as you step out of your car the sweet smell of the mountain air will tell you how close to nature you really are.
The peach is a 2 story rustic home approximately 1300 square feet with 2 bedrooms, 4 beds that can sleep 7 people comfortably in their own beds. There are 2 full baths, a full kitchen and a natural rock log burning fireplace with your own free firewood*.
Outside there is enough driveway to park 5 full size cars with a carport and a 2 car garage.
The lower bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and TV while the huge upper bedroom has a king size bed, a full and a twin child's bed with a dedicated bathroom with bathtub. The huge upstairs bedroom is perfect for entertaining the kids with a new 32' TV with internet apps like Netflix, while you and your friends can enjoy themselves downstairs with a movie or games.
There is a full kitchen with a dishwasher and all of the essentials you would expect in a kitchen. The 4 place kitchen table can expand to seat 7 for your big parties.
We have included a professional Poker top to fit over the kitchen table for your poker players out there. Nothing beats a great Poker Party in the woods.
There is a full bathroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs with a shower, toilet and sink.
There is also a washer and dryer for your dirty clothes.
The Peach also has a garage and a carport to keep your cars out of the snow and the rain.
There are lots of great things to do in the peach including foosball with your own foosball table, watch TV or a movie and free on line gaming of over 200 games from OnLive.
Imagine sitting under the stars in your own very own 5 person hot tub. There is nothing better than enjoying the quiet grandness of the forest while sitting in a bubbling hot tub with a glass of wine under every star in the sky.
There is also a 42' high resolution TV with internet apps including free Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and many more.
We also have installed a new tankless water heater so you can enjoy endless hot water. This is something you will appreciate when your whole group gets back from skiing and you all have to shower at the same time.
For the gamers in your party we have a foosball table and the OnLive gaming system with 2 controllers so 2 people can play together. The gaming systems contains a library of over 200 games to play instantly This library has games for young and old kids. No discs or downloading to worry about here. Just Play! Most of these games are new releases not a bunch of old releases.
So save your quarters and leave your gaming discs at home.
The location of the Peach is one of the best in the Big Bear Valley.
In the summer you can walk to the lake and enjoy a nice sunny day on the sandy beach and if you get too hot, take a dip in the lake or you can hike right out of your front door and into the National forest. While hiking up the mountain trails, (make sure you bring your camera) prepare yourself for scenes right out of the movies as the trails will take you to green valleys and other areas that truly are breathtaking. In some spots along many of the trails you can see the entire lake. Geocaching is also a great thing to do while hiking around the valley.
You can also walk to the village to and enjoy some shopping or a romantic dinner.
In the winter you can get in the back way to Snow Summit and get in and out much quicker than the people on the boulevard. Snow Summit also has a free shuttle to Bear Mountain. Both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are owned by the same organization, so the tickets you buy at one park will work at the other.
To make sure you and your family and friends have a safe vacation, the Peach is has smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgia Peach! The cabin was warm and cozy with all the needed ammenities. The adults enjoyed the hot tub (we even sat in it while it was snowing) and the kids loved all the areas around the cabin to sled and have snow ball fights. The fooseball table and gaming system were great distractions for the kids when they couldn't play outside. We recommend this cabin, Jerry the owner is so easy to work with and communicates quickly. We will definitely return on our next trip to Big Bear!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

Property was not cleaned and well maintained; dirty place and old furniture. Owner deducted money from my deposit because I used American Express with Pay Pal ($17.12). The owner did not advised me ahead of time of how much money he was taking because I was using American Express with Pay Pal. I will never make business with this owner again. I have used VRBO in the past and I never had any problems.Owner response: We are very sorry you did not understand our fees in both the instruction emails and the agreement you agreed to. They both clearly state our fees and pricing. As for the cleanliness of our home, I did inspect it myself before you arrived and can say it was very clean and orderly. We are also extremely sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us after the price discount we gave you and especially after the extra steps we took to accommodate your extra needs.

We took our two grandchildren (8,9) to Bear Mountain for skiing/snowboarding which was only 2 miles from Georgia Peach! We loved that we could all sleep upstairs! We appreciated the laundry facilities! Loved cooking on gas and the wonderful hot tub! We really had fun competing on the fooseball table! The grandchildren loved the snow covered yard and nearby hill for playing in the snow (we're from East Texas). Highly recommend! Only suggestion is to stay longer then 2 days and take everything you need for cooking/coffee, etc, or for shorter stays ask owner about providing starter groceries for fee!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Loved the cabin. Minutes from Snow Summit and restaurants. Sledding and hiking at the end of the street. Our kids had fun exploring in the snow with our dog. Plenty of items for entertainment. We will rent this cabin again.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We had such a great time at the Georgia Peach, it was very comfortable, warm and inviting. We had a wonderful family trip for the holidays. Jerry was always there for us if we had any questions. We will go back.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers.

You always wonder if you can trust a picture and without a doubt this place is just like the pictures displayed if not better. My wife and I have just stayed here for a short three day visit before returning to Australia and it has been the high light of our visit to the US. The correspondence with Jerry was quick and detailed for my first enquiry. On arriving at the cabin we were greeted with a wonderful, warm and inviting cabin. The snow had been falling so the cabin looked just about exactly as shown in the picture. Inside the cabin was very clean with all the facilities we required. With a very nice fire place, I did expect to have to chop wood only to fine ample already chopped in the garage (I did tell my wife I had chopped it all though). The hot tub....... Just fantastic, we sat in the warm hot tub while the snow came down. It just didn't get better than that. The entrainment system has everything on it anyone could want and the Internet access was fine. The cabin is in a good spot close to the main town and ski fields. We walked to the Village for a nice lunch and to look around the shops. If anyone is looking for a very nice place just to get away for a couple of days or if you are lucky a week then this comes very highly recommended. We didn't want to leave.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We had a fantastic time at the Georgia Peach. The cabin was clean, extremely comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. Jerry is more than accommodating and made sure that our stay was perfect. We were lucky enough to get lots of snow the entire time we were there which made the whole weekend even better. A great home away from home. It was everything that it stated and more. Plenty of room for the 7 of us and tons of stuff to do. There was so much snow and the hill was perfect for sledding, we didn't even need to go to the mountain to have fun. Everything was walking distance but the cabin is tucked away and private. We will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

"The Georgia Peach" Absolutely Big Bear's "Best Kept Secret" What a wonderful, peaceful and cozy place to get away from the city and traffic. Truly the one and only place for me and mine to hide out on the mountain as a couple or a Family. Every comfort and need is at your fingertips and it is so easy to believe that you have lived there forever. You really have it all here. Snow activities, shopping, restaurants and all necessities are just minutes away as well as the many majestic views from all around the lake. Absolutely the only place for this Family to stay at every opportunity possible and recommend it with the highest of regard.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
