We rented the house for my husband's 40th, and invited a group of friends to join us for a weekend of cookouts, fishing, and gourmet dinners (hubby's a chef). The grounds of the house are awesome, with room for fishing, croquet, hammock naps, horseshoes, and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, all at the same time! The stream that wraps around the backyard gives an amazing sense of privacy, and hearing the water rush by in stereo is lovely. High trees all around make you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but major shops are only about 10 minutes away for any last minute needs. The house is spacious with a lovely master bedroom featuring a relaxing whirlpool tub, and two upstairs bedrooms (one with double bunk beds), plus a loft with a futon, and a large guest bathroom with separate toilet and shower areas so all your guests can co-exist. The screen porch and the back deck are massive, the great room is impressive with its vaulted ceilings and towering fireplace, not to mention a nice wetbar, and the mounted elk that dominates the room is a thing of beauty. The decor throughout the house is comfortable and cozy but sophisticated, with obvious care taken to make the space homey but not cluttered. The kitchen is large and well appointed, with over/under convection ovens, and a large (if random) supply of cutlery, flatware, and serveware. We had 14 for dinner, and everyone had everything they needed. we can't recommend this place enough -it is Perfect for family reunions, company retreats, and special get-togethers. And if you see the snapping turtle on the path past the bridge over the stream, tell him we said hi, and we'll be back with more marshmallows soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was the perfect week get-a-away for our family of four, plus grandparents. Our two boys, ages 5 and 6, loved fishing every day in the river that is just steps outside the house, playing on the wooden playset, chasing frogs, and hanging around the fire pit at night. The owners were amazing to work with, very accommodating and easily available for questions. Location is convenient to shops, wineries, restaurants, beach is about 20 minutes away. Very clean home with everything you need. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quiet and relaxation but in close proximity to various activities.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Myself and a group of seven friends from college spent a memorable weekend at the cabin. The cabin itself was extremely spacious for the eight of us and had just about every modern amenity a person could need. The pictures from the ad are a good representation of the cabin. My friends and I hadn't gotten together as a group in a number of years so the cabin was perfect for our needs. We spent most of the weekend grilling out on the back deck or hanging around the fire pit. The property itself is also quite large and allowed us plenty of privacy and room to hike around. The owner of the cabin, Ken, was very helpful and accommodating of us. I would definitely rent the cabin again in the future and would recommend the cabin to any friends looking for a quiet and comfortable place to get away for the weekend.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We rented this property for the 4th of July holiday 2011. The property was clean and very well maintained. The owners were very helpful and accomodating. Everything we needed was provided! The fire-pit was very nice to make smores and sit around at night. All of the rooms were beautifully decorated, and the modern kitchen made cooking away from home a breeze. Walmart is just a few minutes away..Would definitely recommend this property to anyone!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The house was impeccably clean and ready for us. Very secluded area surrounded by small watercourse. 15 Minutes from the beach. The host was very nice and accommodating. It has kids swing set in the front yard. Enjoy an outdoor barbeque on the grill and take advantage of the serenity.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.
