Our 2-story home was built in 2011 and has a contemporary design with a unique layout: 1600 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. It's located in a modern, eco-friendly neighborhood, surrounded by running trails/parks and just a few miles from downtown Austin. The open floor plan and outside sitting areas provide for a great place to relax during your Austin stay.
The first floor includes guest bedroom, full bathroom, and a sitting room with french doors that lead to our patio and yard. The bedroom has a brand new queen bed with pillow-top mattress. If you want, we can convert the sitting room into additional sleeping area by adding a deluxe air bed which you would swear is as good as the real thing! This would allow for another 2 people to sleep comfortably.
The second floor is the main living space, complete with large kitchen, living room, master bedroom, master bathroom, a half-bathroom, laundry, and a cozy deck overlooking green space/park. The TV is a 50'' hdtv with Bluray player and Roku streaming player (we have 100's of movies and tv shows to watch!). The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is full of cooking utensils if you'd like to whip up a meal. The master bedroom has a queen size mattress. The master bath has a spacious, stand-up shower and twin vanities for easy morning prep.
The entire house has wifi and wired internet. Our washer and dryer are also new and you are welcome to use them. There are two lovely lakes nearby and 13 miles of walking/running nature trails which connect immediately in front of our home. Parking will not be a problem as we have ample street options. We are just three blocks from our lovely neighborhood pool which is open April - October 31st (free & private, has lap lanes). A second neighborhood pool will be open as of October 2015.
Dining: half a mile away sits a wonderful bar/restaurant called 'Contigo' that serves delicious craft cocktails and food that looks like artwork. Just beyond that are several local cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants unique to Austin (including the best tacos in town: Torchy's Tacos). If you like familiarity, there are a variety of chain options 1.5 miles away: Starbucks, Chipotle, Which Wich, Papa johns, Jamba Juice as well as Target and Walgreens) and again, the new grocery store is less than a mile away, complete with it's own cafe/coffee shop/beer on tap. Our development also hosts a large farmer's market on Sundays from 10am-1pm with over 40 vendors and several food trucks.
Transport: just two blocks from our house is the route 20 (manor/riverside) bus stop which will easily take you right into downtown and alleviate worries about parking. We also have 2 street bikes that you are welcome to borrow. Two other convenient modes of transit are Car2Go (which runs to our house) and the pedi-cabs (bicycle cabs) that run all over downtown.

Why the Owner Chose Mueller: We lovethis house! It's located in Mueller which was built on the site of the old Austin airport just a few years ago. It's the first 100% LEED certified neighborhood in the US and is full of greatness: eco-friendly houses, stores, and restaurants, beautiful parks and running trails, exceptionally friendly people, and it's in a fantastic location- just 3.5 miles from Downtown. Our house is on a corner lot and faces a lovely green space/pond with the city skyline in the background so it's a particularly great spot. We feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this revolutionary development.
The Unique Benefits at this House: Where to begin! We especially love the unique layout of this house; having the main living space on second floor is provides a great view and extra privacy. The kitchen is stunning and the open floor plan provides a wonderful communal space. The wood floors are beautiful and everything fits together very well. The overall design is contemporary yet simple and classic.
