  We took FOUR families to this house and had 7 adults and 9 children running around. There was enough room for all those people without feeling squished into a house. The living areas were comfortable and the outside areas were great as well. The slide was a huge bonus for all the kids, all under 7 years of age. We look forward to renting it again next year.

  Our gathering of nine women was a great success. Though the weather was very wet the entire time we were there, it made no difference as we had plenty of things to do inside. Between the pool table and the ping pong table, there were enough distractions for everyone. Before we departed on Sunday, we had the opportunity to enjoy a few hours of sunshine and all agreed it would be a great place to come back to during the Spring or Summer when we could actually enjoy the lake.

  This was our second time staying at this location with our children. We thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The home is set up ideally for families. Our children loved the pool table as well as the ping-pong table and bunk beds. We woke up every morning to a beautiful view of the lake from our private bedroom deck. We absolutely loved spending the afternoon on the top deck of the boathouse. Our children couldn’t get enough of the slide going from the boathouse into the lake. The view is gorgeous and it is so peaceful that we never wanted to leave. It was hard to decide between sitting on the dock or around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. We stopped by Striplings in the area and Salt Lick for some awesome steaks and cooked on the grill by the fire pit. I highly recommend this property. I can’t wait to go back!

  My husband, grandchildren and I had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The home was exactly as it appears in the photos. We enjoyed swimming and boating in the lake. The grandchildren enjoyed ping pong and our oldest granddaughter really enjoyed the waterslide. Thanks for helping us to have a great vacation!

  Our group really enjoyed staying here! This was by far the best house I have stayed in on Lake Blackshear. The home was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The home owners were extremely helpful and accommodating, and the house was fully equipped with everything we needed (pots & pans, linens, and more). The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable too. Not only was the house fantastic, but the backyard/lake area was even better than expected! We enjoyed the screened in porch as well as the outdoor fire pit. Before our arrival, the home owners completed a large 2nd story "sun deck" too (great surprise)! The neighbors were all friendly as well and spoke very highly of the family we were renting from. I would recommend this property, and we will definitely be back next summer!

  Our family had a great time visiting Lake Blackshear! The fire pit & fireplace came in handy. The dining room and sleeping quarters accomodated our group of 12. The screened porch was a great place for our kids to hang out! I went out to the dock & fished every morning, what a view... We will recommend this to other families.

  I took a large family group here, and everyone in the group was 100% happy. The house is well kept, and very comfortable. The yard and fire pit were enjoyable, and the dock was nice as well. The pool table and the ping pong table are great for cold or rainy days. We will definitely stay here again. If I had to point out anything negative, it would have to be the hot water...it's there, it just takes a really long time to warm up. Also, the tv was big, but the picture was poor...not sure if it was the tv or the cable. Regardless, we were more than satisfied with out stay!
