The house is an updated 1930s summer house a few hundred feet from the water, about 40 feet above sea level. Relax on the deck with a drink and your loved one while gazing at the beautiful views of Gurnet lighthouse and Saquish beach across Plymouth bay. You can watch the lobster boats pull traps from the bay and see the sail boats and fishing boats sail by. You'll have access to the private beach down a grass path. The upper beach has rocks like the Maine coast and it gets sandy at low tide. You can walk or drive to Plymouth public beach where it is all sand, less than a mile away. Launch your kayaks from the beach out front and explore Plymouth beach and harbor.
The first floor of the house has a full kitchen, dining room and living room with a fire place and queen size pull out couch. From the dining room you can walk out onto the deck which looks out over the ocean. There is a gas grill for cook outs.
The second floor has a full bathroom with an old fashioned claw foot tub with shower.There are three spacious bedrooms on the second floor. Room 1 has a queen sized bed facing the ocean, room two has a queen sized bed facing the ocean and room three has two twin beds.
There is full bathroom on the third floor as well as a full sized bed (loft).
Downtown Plymouth is about three miles up the road where there is a lot to do and see. Plymouth Plantation is a mile up the road next to Plymouth beach. There are several golf courses within a few miles, whale watching, deep sea fishing etc. The house has easy access to the route 3 highway. You can get to it or from it in a few minutes. The Cape Cod canal is twenty minutes away where you can walk for miles along the canal and also fish for striped bass and blue fish.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in June 2011. Our family of 8 was very comfortable during our stay and we all enjoyed the beautiful ocean views off the large back deck. The convenient location allowed us to easily visit Boston or Cape Cod with a relatively short drive. Easy access to the beach for a sunset bonfire was a true highlight for us. Our family also really enjoyed the Plimouth Plantation and the Mayflower exhibits and would recommend both to anybody with children eager to learn more about the Pilgrim and Native experience in New England. The owner was very helpful in preparing the property and responding to any questions and requests we had during our stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: Plymouth has grown tremendously in the last 20 years. I remember when Plymouth didn't even have one traffic light. People would drive into see the rock and Mayflower then head off to the Cape. Now it's a great destination with all the amenities and no Cape traffic, plus it is easier to travel to Boston & Newport, RI

You can get up early in the morning and sit on the breakwater out front and watch as the sun comes up and lights up the ocean. At night we have beautiful sunsets.
Plymouth beach is a long sandy peninsula thee miles long this is also a great walk any time of day.
