Let me just say, I have NEVER left a poor review, but I think this needs to be know by others. This house sounds great, and I was SOLD on the King Tempurpedic bed...HOWEVER, the bed is very uncomfortable, linens are old, bikes are in such disarray that we couldn't even use them, and if you have a dog you will get charged extra (out of your security deposit) to pay for housekeepping to clean the dog hair. (and housekeepping will tell lies to ensure you pay...) I understand, it's hard to clean a house after a dog has been there, but if that's the straw that broke the camel's back, then don't allow dogs! I also had to buy basic products for the house (garbage bags, auto dish machine soap, toilet paper, ect. to name a few) Also, the hot tub is so hot that you can't even sit in it, and I LOVE a good hot tub-but we couldn't even use it! The garbage cans were so full we couldn't use them either. If you rent the house, good luck in the end. I found several things dirty throughout the home (still left housekeepping flowers) and the cooking utensils and such are old and hard to handle. I ended up going home with the flu! Thanks "cabin in the woods"!! Like I said, buyer beware!!!!

Owner response:To begin with, this review is very upsetting for us as homeowners because we know that it is not true. Every past review from previous guests testifies to the quality, cleanliness and care of our home and the satisfaction from the guests that have stayed there. We never received a complaint, e-mail or phone call from this guest during or after their stay indicating that anything was wrong. As a matter of fact, the guest e-mailed us from their phone prior to departing and said "Thanks for opening your home to us, we had a fantastic time!" This is the first communication we have received regarding their claims and they are untrue. The guest is very upset because a portion of her security deposit had to be used to remove excessive amounts of dog hair found on the bedroom comforters, living room furniture and upstairs bathroom. Our rental agreement has a written, and reasonable policy to not allow pets on the furniture and beds, so we had no choice but to perform a deep clean on the home after their departure. I have never received a complaint about our Tempurpedic bed being uncomfortable and the hot tub too hot. Our hot tub has available service 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Our home is supplied with clean linens, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, garbage bags and hand soap. If the guest runs out of any of these supplies, they simply call the home maintenance service to ask for more. The guest e-mailed us and said they "had a fantastic time", but in this review she said she got the flu. All of the negative comments are unfounded and an unfortunate attempt to discredit how wonderful our home really is. I would like to reiterate that every past review from previous guests testifies to the quality, cleanliness and care of our home and the satisfaction of the guests that have stayed there. This is the first time we have ever had to respond to a negative review and it is unfortunate. Thank you

This place was great! So cute, charming and cozy! The wood stove and hottub were a real treat! Great location - easy access to all ammenities. Very pet friendly. Had a great time and will return. Will definitely recommend to others! Thank you for sharing your home.

Beautiful area

We just returned from a four day stay in this cabin. Very Clean, nice furniture,nice hot tub. Plenty of bikes to choose from plus a little buggy you hook up to your bike for the little tots. Tennis court close by if that is your thing, and the walking trails very nice too. We would stay again.

My wife and I rented this for a getaway trip. Pictures and descriptions were accurate. The house was clean and well equipped, and an excellent location, close to the bike/walking trails, shopping, restaurants, and more. Hot Tub was very nice and private. The king sized bed was very comfortable, towels and linens were very nice and plentiful. Nice Flat screen TV with cable, also a DVD player (did not use) and an iPod player in the living room (used a lot). Second bedroom is small, I would not put a large couple in it for an extended stay. Dining the area, I can recommend Hola in Sunriver for drinks and Mexican, Greg's Grill in Bend was EXCELLENT and reasonable, Baldy's in Bend if you like BBQ. Walking and biking are our favorite activities in Sunriver, and again, this house is right on the trail. Lava lands is fascinating and very close.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Nice retreat for my husband and I. Home was perfect, great access to bike trails which we loved. Warm, homey feeling. Would recommend this home for a couple's getaway or for a small family. Close to the park also.

6/19-23/09 What a great house nice and cozy. It's in a great location in Sunriver. Wild life(deer) just outside kitchen window every morning. So nice just staying in the resort. Great price for what you get. Enjoyed the bikes and hot tub. Would love to rent this house again. Would definitely recommend. Mark Thibodeau was very helpful and made the rental process very easy.

Had a great time this past weekend with the family. Home was very clean and all of the furnishings and decor were very nice and cozy. Enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ grill and private deck in backyard. Wildlife around the home was a real bonus. Would highly recommend. We have stayed in Sunriver before and this home is in a great location. Fun game room too!

We loved staying at this home because it was so comfortable and cozy. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pellet stove also. Very well maintained, clean and cute decor throughout the home. Good location in the middle of Sunriver resort.

We had a great time staying in this home. Good location near the bike trails and Fort Rock Park. Centrally located so it is convenient to just about everything in Sunriver. Kids enjoyed the nice hot tub and arcade games on the 2nd floor as well. Home is very clean and well maintained. Good communication from owners. We would stay again.

Great location in Sunriver! it was a great place for our family to stay. It had all the comforts of home. It was a very well kept house with plenty of room for our family.

Our family stayed here for a ski trip in February. Home is right in the middle of the resort, very private setting and cute decor inside. Pellet stove was a real bonus as well as the Wi-Fi and King size Tempurpedic. Very affordable. Well pleased with overall experience and would rent again.
