East Hampton cottage description
Adorable, stylish and completely modernized cottage on a charming and quiet road in Springs that leads to the water. The front of the house (original cottage) features a cozy living room with fireplace and 2 bedrooms. The modern addition features a master bedroom suite, an additional bedroom, 2 renovated bathrooms with Duravit fixtures and walls of glass looking out onto mature oak trees. Country kitchen with everything a cook needs. This special rental has a projection TV with surround sound and central air throughout. Additionally, an outdoor Finnish-style sauna and hot tub with backyard deck.
Go fishing, biking, kayaking or paddle boarding. The house comes with 4x bicycles, 2x kayaks, paddle board and fishing rods for your enjoyment. Explore local hiking trails, East Hampton's historic Springs area, the Jackson Pollock house & museum nearby. Or just stay in and relax!
Light the fireplace on a chilly summer night and use our backyard BBQ for a great evening. Make it an at-home spa day, a night at the beach with a bonfire or on a rainy day, enjoy a movie night with our home theater setup.
A great area for kids and for biking and running without the Hamptons' traffic. The house is close to East Hampton's clean, beautiful and quiet bay beaches, calmer than the ocean and great for a long swim. Long Island's prime ocean beaches are a short drive (4-5 miles).
It's a great spot to relax and explore the outdoors and to enjoy everything the Hamptons and Montauk have to offer including restaurants, nightlife, bars, many local fish and farm stands, and excellent food shopping
This property is located on a quiet street that ends on the water off of Three Mile Harbor Road, on approx. 1/3 acre that feels very private and protected.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this cottage for a long week in late summer - it was super clean, and just a lovely and thoughtfully put together home! Description and photos accurately reflect the property. Good deal, highly recommended, and we hope to come back in the future.

If we had that choice we'd move in permanently. We had the pleasure of spending some wonderful vacation time in that house and consider ourselves repeat guests. As parents of an almost five old, this house is a perfect fit. The quiet street it's on is perfect for some scooting and biking and the backyard a little paradise for both the grown ups and the kids (sauna for grown ups, hot tub for the kids). With so many opportunities to spend time in and around East Hampton we actually often spend whole days in and around the house. Here is what Parker our 5 year said when I asked him to write a review: "Come for a playdate. It's so cool because it has a hot tub and you can run around the house in a loop like Lighting McQueen." I have stayed at this wonderful and charming house multiple times, last during the Hamptons Film Festival with a group of friends. The owner is very accommodating and made the rental process easy for us, they also know the area really well and helped us navigate around the parking restrictions at the beaches in summer and offered many tips on where to go and what to do. The house is in a great location, on a dead-end street that ends by the water, the most noise you will hear is the birds, no traffic noise whatsoever. It's in walking distance to the bay and just a 10min drive to the Atlantic Ocean, what else do you need?! It's nicely decorated, modern, clean and pleasant. Great jacuzzi and a sauna is in the garden that beats the Guerney's.

I have spent time in this property several times, the most recent being this March. Every time, I have been very impressed with my stay. First, there is the location: the Springs in Northampton are beautiful and historical without being showy; the house itself is just a block away from the bay, with a few more blocks to walk for direct beach access. Before I became familiar with the Hamptons I always thought that it was preferable to be on the ocean, but after spending several weeks here at different times of the year… well, in Montauk you needed a winter coat to walk on the beach and here you needed a T-shirt…There is a lot to do…. we went sailing, went to hunt for oysters, got out on the Kayak, all just minutes away from the house. As to the house… to me, it looked just the like the little fishing cottage it used to be upon arrival. Lovely, cute, but how would we all fit? I shouldn’t have worried. The renovation and expansion work is terrific!! All the pictures posted on the website reflect the house accurately! There are two living rooms – we used the front one for late nights in front of the fireplace and the back one for everything else! Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, all beautifully done! The deck is gorgeous and the sauna and hot tub work well. The décor is clean and simply, very modernist, just right for a beach cottage with style and taste. Overall, a great retreat!

This cute house and spa (GREAT sauna) was a very peaceful and energizing way to escape the City when we were so tired from work and life that our bodies seemed drag along the highway to get out there. The neighborhood is lovely and all the things and activities listed above are easily accessible...if we had used them. We did use the bikes, but mostly the whirlpool, sauna and the comfortable house and yard. FABULOUS!

What a gem!!
What a gem!!
We were looking for an escape from the city while the Grandparents were visiting from abroad. We had a tough crowd to please... two luxe-loving parents, two kids under 3 and two jet-set oldies in their 60's. I can't believe we found Harbor View. It was perfect. A bright, welcoming sunroom at the front, a cosy 'adults only' living room in the original cottage with a beautiful fireplace and an expansive, modern living/dining space in the back where the kids toys could be spread with abandon while the adults chilled watching movies on the projector. It's a great space for two families; the living arrangements mean everyone has privacy with these wonderful communal spaces. All the details are very thoughtful. We loved the well equipped kitchen with top notch utensils and thoughtfully stocked pantry. Instead of eating out we ate IN ... (what a surprise!!) and enjoyed quality family time. So many thoughtful touches and hotel quality amenities. A large deck off the back with a tranquil, private wooded garden sealed the deal. We saw deer, chipmunks, woodpeckers, nuthatches... wandered down to the waterfront to watch the boats and through the wooded backroads where we found a sweet little marina. This was the perfect combination of a Hamptons/Upstate escape - water and woods at your doorstep. A fabulous escape, perfectly primed to enjoy the Fall. We picked pumpkins and toured East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Shelter Island & Montauk Lighthouse. This escape ticked all the boxes. We LOVED every moment and will definitely return.

I have stayed at property #365830 and really found it a fantastic summer hideaway. The house is on a quiet street that is a little hidden away. What I love about the house is when you approach the front, it is a very sweet and modest home. Once inside it just opens up as you move farther in until you reach the backyard; it is the perfect hangout spot for a group. There are two "livingrooms", the first with comfy sofas and a lovely fireplace, the back one is completely modern with a wall for movies and a view into the open kitchen so dinner is always a bit of a social event. You are a small walk to the bay and a quick drive anywhere else. Lastly I would say the best thing though is the backyard with its high tree canopy, sauna and hot tub. I want to go back again soon. I think the listing is very accurate and the owners are really nice and straightforward business people.
